Jeff Zimmerman: I may have a shorter chat but not sure. Not Tout Wars FAAB since the leagues run the pickups Wed night.

Jeff Zimmerman: I have to check my smoker and I’ll start answering questions.

RP Party: Which current closers should we be looking to deal now because they won’t be closers after the trade deadline, and vice versa for current no closers.

Jeff Zimmerman: Will Smith, Shane Greene, Colome.

Chris: I have two closer spots and i got kimbrel, diaz, and neris, what should i do?

Jeff Zimmerman: You can stream them in depending on the games that week. Or trade one

Brad Johnson: This appears to be working today. We’ll get started in a few moments.

Chonk: Disregarding positions, would you rather have Scooter or Swanson ROS in a standard points league?

Brad Johnson: I would take the gamble on gennett. I do think he’s pretty likely to struggle for the next 2-4 weeks

Brad Johnson: He really rushed through the rehab assignment without showing any real signs of being ready

Daro: Cease worth to grab in 12 teams league?

Brad Johnson: Yes, he’s on the cusp of promotion.

Jeff Zimmerman: Good evening everyone.

Jeff Zimmerman: Here are the mixed league FAAB results for the evening.

Paul Sporer: Good afternoon, everyone! Let’s talk some baseball!!!

oswald2319: Luzardo went 5 innings last night, life is good!!!!

Paul Sporer: His debut is creeping closer and closer

Rahim: Hi, Paul. Is Hiura a must-add, or something less than that?

Paul Sporer: Must-add in all formats, IMO. Impact potential is massive

Alec Berg: Daniel Palka getting the call this week. Am I right to still be wary after his horrendous start to the year?

Brad Johnson: We’ll get this rolling in a few minutes

Brad Johnson: Something is wrong with the chat app, I’m going to reboot.

Brad Johnson: Ok, so 11 of you have made it past the blank screen of death. Something is wrong with Jotcast unfortunately.

Brad Johnson: Oh, the controls finally loaded, so there are a few questions I can answer.

Noah: Glad you are back Brad! Keeper question here. Keep 4 in a H2H points league. Already have Vladito locked up for 7 years (15-9 rounds) , but need to pick from Yordan (10th round pick – choice of years), Eloy (7-?), Kimbrel (10-?), Hiura (10-?), Dahl (8-?), Robles (7-?) for the remaining 3. Thanks!

Brad Johnson: Alvarez is an easy pick

Jeff Zimmerman: Sorry for the delay. I was removing Alex Reyes from my FAAB bids because of a possible injury.

Jeff Zimmerman: Here are the Tout Wars mixed-league bids.

Paul Sporer: Good afternoon, everyone! Let’s talk some baseball!!

Zig: Mercado worth a look?

Paul Sporer: Ya, for sure. Speed guy who has shown some pop, too. I really like him.

Zac Gallen: What did you think of my start yesterday, and prospects for ROS?  Hold?  Sell?

Paul Sporer: Dug the start for sure. Mixed four pitches well, solid velo, and really handled the Cards. They ran up his count a bit, but I was impressed. My only concern is the crunch of pitchers once Lopez & Smith get healthy, but I’d scoop Gallen anywhere and let it play out bc you never know w/injuries

Cookie: Jorge Soler: hold or stream in 10-team (5 OF)?

Paul Sporer: Gooood afternoon everyone, let’s talk some baseball!!!

Chuck: Paul, is Chance Sisco good now? Is he worth taking a chance on in a categories H2H over Alfaro?

Paul Sporer: Sisco might actually be panning out a bit??? I think I might stick with Alfaro, though, tbh

Joe: I need to cut one: Carpenter or Donaldson?

Paul Sporer: Ugh, that’s tough. I guess Donaldson

NOT MACKEL: Is it time to drop Joey Votto? I’ve playing for a couple weeks without a catcher, 12 team h2h.

Brad Johnson: Hey folks, we’ll get this kicked off in a few moments. I need a quick snack first.

Hanser and Hansest: Hiya! Yarborough has been (mostly) better since his demotion. Would you trust him vs. the Angels this week (al only league)?

Brad Johnson: First, my occasional plug of “Players Aren’t Trustworthy”

Brad Johnson: “Players aren’t things to be trusted. All you can do is manage them such that they’re in the best possible positions to succeed. In roto and points-based formats, it’s easier to take the long view. Every player comes with lumps, but they usually even out over the course of 162 games. Sale had a couple rocky starts and missed time late in the season. He also posted a 2.11 ERA and 237 strikeouts in 158 innings. His owners got what they paid for.”

Brad Johnson: I do think you can use Yarbrough in AL Only. Just expect a bland outing.
