Brad Johnson: I know the Ohtani hype is big, but I would not trade for him at this point.

Brad Johnson: To me, his unique profile just reads as risk, and some sites are talking about treating him as two players – far from ideal for roster management

Brad Johnson: Moreover, Ohtani at his very best is probably comparable to Rizzo. You’d be taking on a ton of downside.

Tim: I feel like Robbie Ray is one of the more divisive pitchers heading into 2018. Where do you fall on him for next year?

Paul Sporer: I think the Sox want to do something else at DH so while in theory it might line up, I don’t think it’s plays in practice

Wes: Former Austinite here. Better Taco, Torchy’s or TacoDeli? For baseball purposes: Do you think Otani ditches the bat for pitching full time in a few years or could he be the first legit two way player we have seen in a long time?

Paul Sporer: I’m ride or die with Torchy’s. I just love it. The tacos I had at Galaxy Taco in San Diego were amazing and better than Torchy’s, but for local, I’m Torchy’s all day. All I’ve read re: Ohtani is that he wants to be somewhere he can hit. Obv can’t play the field every day he’s not pitching, but maybe 1-2x plus his ABs as SP

Paul Sporer: Luis Castillo. I love him, but want to be careful not to overrate him. The Luis Severino comps seem to forget that Sevvy flopped after his debut before exploding this year. Prospect growth isn’t linear!

Luke: Who’s winning the World Series?

Paul Sporer: No clue, of course. I think it’s a wide open playoff and should be a lot of fun, but I’ll go Nats. They’ll finally win a  series and then take off to the World Series

Paul Sporer: Hoskins, but it is close. I just prefer Hoskins w/the much better K%. Olson will struggle to hit .263 in a full season at a 28% K rate

Guest: Will Dahl play next year and if so, will he be any good?  Or is he just never going to be able to stay healthy?

Paul Sporer: I mean, I certainly *think* he’ll play next year, but I don’t know for sure. I expect him to be a solid OF when healthy

weezy: When starting a league, what’s your keeper format philosophy? Increase in cost/draft round per year? # of keepers? And is snake or auction a preferred format?

Brad Johnson: Good afternoon folks. Let’s save keeper questions for the offseason and focus on the remainder of the season.

JD15: How many points can I realistically make up in the last two weeks of FGPts if my competitor and I both have innings and games to use?

Brad Johnson: A superb week is something like 1,200 points – 700 for hitters and 500 for pitchers

Brad Johnson: A bad week is around 250 points (lots of negatives). So perfect coincidence gives you a 950 point upside. More realistically, probably about 300 points per week if almost everything breaks your way
