Matt: How uncomfortable with McGreevy @ATH tomorrow – particularly in Ottoneu where HR really hurt?

Paul Sporer: Quite a bit. As well as he’s been pitching, there’s plenty of regression coming and I’m not starting him here to find out if this is when it starts in earnest

Matt: McGreevy has been so hot, its tough to sit him, but that said, next week, he draws the short straw here, right (12 tm roto QS)?

Paul Sporer: Yeah, it’s not as bad as at ATH, of course, but the numbers game pushes him out here. Not sure he’s all that close to the lower end of that group even on a 1-start comparison (Messick/Warren) but they both have 2 so even easier start for them over him

Ryan Raburn: Trevor Rogers was just dropped in my 10man 5×5. Do you think he is must grab?

Bums: Is Matt McLain now a boring accumulator? At least that’s what the ROS projections say. But yet 2B options are so weak. How much longer should I keep stepping on this rake in a 12 team roto. Apologies if this went thru a lot getting an error on the phone

12T H2H 6×6 OBP,SLG: Hi Paul! I finally gave up on McLain for Bazzana. Keaschall, Semien, Stott, and Angel Martinez are on the wire, would you move off of Bazzana for any of these guys?

Paul Sporer: Crazy coincidence that the very first two Qs both involve McLain!!!

Paul Sporer: Boring accumulation does appear to be on deck with him. I was among those who bought the spring power surge. But it has completely evaporated in season outside of his 2-HR game v. DET. He has 5 SBs so still viable in deeper formats. I think he’s starting to straddle the cut line in 12s and lower.

Bums: Depends who’s available, but if it’s some of the names shared by the next Q, then I think there’s merit to moving on as he’s just bludgeoning the AVG for only a bit of HR/SB juice

12T H2H: With those options, you can probably try to play some hot hand stuff. That can be a tricky game if you’re always catching the tail end of a hot streak and missing most of the juice, but I guess it’s just more that I wouldn’t wait toooo long on guys before moving on. Give Bazz another 7-10 days and if it’s not turning, you  can look elsewhere, but he doesn’t appear overmatched and a tiny BABIP is holding back a lot.

Charlotte: Shane-o-Mac looks so good after getting through his first 3 starts. Is he back-back??!!

OW: Hi Paul, Bazzana is still a FA in my 12T H2H 6×6 OBP + SLG league, would you drop McLain for him or should I hold out after his power surge last week?

Paul Sporer: I’m holding McLain. With the 2 HR game last wknd, he’s got 2 HR/4 SB so we’re getting some juice. Plus the plate skills are markedly better with a 5 pt jump in BB to 14% and improved K and SwStr rates (-4 and -2 pts, respectively, to 25% and 9%). Still holds more upside than Bazzana for me

Paul Sporer: OK that was weird, I got a question in the queue but the post wasn’t live?! Hopefully it’s up now!

Arqane: 16 team 6×6 with K:BB ratio for hitters, IP for P. I’ve gathered quite the collection of positionally flexible guys: Rafaela (remember when we thought he was a 20-20 guy?), Lee, Fernandez (SS/CI now, 1B soon), Jackson. How would you rank that group, and would you deal one for Prielipp? Thanks.

Paul Sporer: Ya Rafaela has been remarkably empty AVG incl. 0-3 on the bases. His core skills aren’t off from what I was hoping for though and I think the juice will come with better base running and some HRs. This doesn’t kill 20-20, though. He went 16-20 last yr w/2 1-HR months and just 1 combined SB in those 2 months. He’s still the easy #1 of this group.

Fernandez’s flexibility is nice and lands him 2nd here espec. in a deeper league. He’s got some pop and plenty of speed if they let him run. I don’t think there’s a great hit tool so that AVG will crater when BABIP smooths out, but enough juice to be worth in a 16.

Lee is showing some surprising early pop w/5 HRs. He’s not clocking 5 per month, but another 13-15. Jeremiah Jackson’s line has come back to earth as expected with his free-swinging ways catching up to him. I’d be down to go for Prielipp. As for who, that would be more for your trade partner. I would do anyone but Ceddanne
