Starting Pitcher Chart – July 7th, 2026

Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the Daily SP Chart, click here if you’re new to get an idea of what I’m doing with these rankings.

  • I still don’t think Skenes’s struggles are actionable as his last start was the first truly awful one since Opening Day.
  • Tolle/Seymour are getting a muted version of their opponent’s offense today with CHW sitting 22nd in wOBA the L14 days and NYY down to 27th in the same timeframe.
  • Lugo’s old team is the perfect chance for him to get back on track after a 5.31 ERA/1.48 WHIP in the L30 days.
  • Abbott-Cantillo-Boyd all get great matchups which could make them usable in 10s depending on your options. I still don’t really trust Abbott but PHI’s offense remains stagnant despite their overall success.
  • Warren/Soriano were amazing to start the season but have both hit the skids as they hit the road today. Both have 5.00+ ERAs and near-1.70 WHIPs over the L30 and yet I’m down to start either in a lot of spots. They were never quite as good as their heights from April/May, but they’re also not this bad, either.
  • Ginn should probably be closer to the top of the 2-x’s given his excellent road record: 2.31 ERA/.88 WHIP in 47 road IP. DET has been hitting better of late (14th wOBA L14) but not enough to run from this, especially since we only really get to start Ginn on the road.

Recommendations for Roto 5×5 Leagues

Intro

The chart includes their performance for 2026, their opponent’s wOBA versus the pitcher’s handedness, and recently added opponent’s K% (also v. SP handedness), my general start/sit recommendation for 10-team, 12-team, and 15-team (or more) leagues – essentially a shallow, medium, deep league setup – and then a note about some, most, or all depending on the day. If a pitcher only has an “x” in 15-team, it doesn’t mean there’s no potential use in 10s and 12s, but it’s a much riskier stream for those spots.

These are general recommendations for standard 5×5 roto leagues, and your league situation will carry more weight whether you are protecting ratios or chasing counting numbers. I usually won’t have much to write about aces who are locked into our rotations. If you want to discuss someone further, please feel free to leave a comment. I usually do a few sweeps of the comments before game time in case there are time-sensitive questions.

  • Yellow – OK
  • Red – Bad

The only wind over 10 is SFG where it’s 16 out to L center in a ballpark designed to minimize wind effects.

Rain:

STL – 1st game: increasing to 21% by game’s end but then dropping to 10-14% for Game 2
BAL – 33-55% before, during and after the game
PIT – 34% to start, 9% by game’s end
WAS – 40-62% before, during and after the game
MIN – below 20% in-game but rising a bit to 26-35% after the game

Only notable temp game is SFG where it is a relatively brisk 59* at 1st pitch, cooling to 56* by game’s end. Everything else is between 71-86*

MLB’s Starting Lineups page currently shows TBD for Seattle.

I’m fairly confident that unless they bring Jamie Moyer out of retirement, literally whoever the M’s start against Miami today would be 3-x.
