Starting Pitcher Chart – June 27th, 2024

Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

The whole 1-x group lost an x on matchup alone. Berríos and Monty are at least home, but Gray and Rogers get their tough matchups on the road. I really don’t mind skipping any of those. Just be careful! Wacha escaped that group by being hot right now. His 2.87 ERA and 0.86 WHIP are definitely the best of that group over the last month: Rogers 3.03, Berríos 4.17, Gray 6.28, Monty 6.59. Wacha also has an 18% K-BB rate in that time and Gray is only other one to top 10%.

Mariners

Ryan Bliss is taking some outfield reps.

To further boost his functionality, Bliss also began taking pregame outfield reps on Monday at Tropicana Field, where the bright rooftop lights within the concrete-laden venue warrant extra prep.

2-Start Chart for the Week of June 24th

Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

We’ve got a deep board to work with, adding 14 more names than last week’s 28. It’s not just a bunch of no-names, either, there are some real opportunities. There is definitely some risk, too, that’s always going to happen when you’re 2-start streaming, but at least it’s more than just a hope and a wish with the majority of the list.
