Paul Sporer: Not for the Upton/Albies giver IMO

Brad Johnson: Hey folks, I received SO many questions already so I definitely won’t get to all of them. If you asked a bunch, I’m likely to only answer the one that most interests me. Let’s get started.

Overpaying: How much would you be willing to give up for Shohei Ohtani if you can win this year? 2 Top 10 prospects? 3 Top 20?

Brad Johnson: That’s so context dependent. In a 20 team dynasty, you can trade one top prospect (Acuna) for something like Paul Goldschmidt and Corey Kluber

Brad Johnson: In a 10 team format, prospects are super fungible.

Brad Johnson: That said, Ohtani is just an older top prospect. I wouldn’t pay more than one top 10 guy and some sweetener.

Biscuit: Seems like Berrios is a good bet to outperform his FG projections, no?

Paul Sporer: Wooo, it’s baseball chat time!

Dan: Heya, Paul! Hope you’re enjoying the off-season. So next year I’m doing my first head-to-head fantasy leagues. What are the major differences, strategy-wise, from a roto? I figure punting a category is less advisable, but what else should I be aware of?

Paul Sporer: It depends if it’s points or categories h2h. In pts leagues, SPs are usually pushed up a bit. SBs mean less since you can get pts from any avenue and don’t specifically NEED SB.

Jumanji Laurasia: What are your expectations for Glasnow this season?

Paul Sporer: I’m not a huge fan so he’s gotta show me something. He made some mechanical changes that bore some fruit in the minors, but did nothing for him in his last MLB stint with 15 BB in 7.7 IP.

Brad Johnson: Ooh, I’m a sucker for present value, but Dozier isn’t likely to be productive 3 or 4 years from now

Brad Johnson: Moncada could look something like Dozier as soon as 2018. I’d bet on Moncada to be better by 2020.

Brad Johnson: Given that you don’t seem too keen about 2018, I’d lean Moncada

kolten wong: Should I be worried about max schrock?

Christian Yelich: Odds i’m traded? Might see a HR spike away from Marlins Park?

Brad Johnson: Yelich is very likely to be traded by midseason. Given his consistently high HR/FB ratio, I don’t think we’ll see more homers in another venue.

Duncan: Where does Machado end up? And what do the Orioles get in return?

Brad Johnson: A little early to get a clean read on this. I’ll say St. Louis or San Francisco. Package led by Jack Flaherty or Tyler Beede plus another decent but unexceptional prospect. One year of Machado is valuable, but it’s not worth a monster haul.

Kristaps: Francisco Mejia… Will he start 2018 in the Minors or as Cleveland everyday catcher? Trade possibility?

Paul Sporer: Still want to see where Ohtani lands, but he’s right in the area of those 3. I have all four top 25 with Darvish at 11

Silly Beane: Does Ahmed Rosario have any fantasy value in keeper leagues, or does he project as too glove-reliant for IRL value?

Paul Sporer: Depends on league type, but he definitely strikes me as someone who will be a better real life player than fantasy for at least the first couple years of his career

Jordan: Let’s say you’ve already got Ohtani in a dynasty league. Do you shop him? Is he the rare guy that’s simply more fun to have, regardless of outcome?
