Paul Sporer’s Baseball Chat – November 16th, 2022

Transcript is live!

1:07

Paul Sporer: Welcome to the chat! The Hot Stove isn’t blazing, but we’ve got some logs on the fire!

1:07

Kyle: Do you think the FBB audience should downgrade opinions from “experts” that perform poorly and upgrade opinions from experts that perform well in their leagues?

1:08

Paul Sporer: If they want, it’s their team. Player analysis and team management are two different skills, though, so I’d just make sure I know what I’m getting from the person I’m following, but I don’t have any problem with ppl placing weight on what they deem most important

1:08

Jefff: Have you and Justin talked about getting him scheduled for weekly chats in the offseason and into the 2023 season?

1:09

Paul Sporer: Yes he now has a time slot and I believe he will be starting during the offseason!!

1:13

Teoscar/Swanson-Macko: What are your thoughts on this deal, both for the teams and players involved?

Paul Sporer & Jeff Zimmerman Regular Season Finale Chat – October 5th, 2022

Thanks for coming out this season! There will be playoff chats on the front page so look out for those throughout the month.

I (Paul) will also have offseason chats pretty consistently, but not necessarily every week. I will mention on Twitter when I know I’m going to miss one.

This Season’s Final Sunday Night Waiver Wire & FAAB Chat

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Welcome, everyone.

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman: Here are the Tout Wars bids with one manager showing up to drop the hammer on the rest of us.

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman:

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman: Two notes.

7:33
Jeff Zimmerman: First this Wednesday, at least Paul and I will be hosting a chat during the last set of games if you want to join us.

7:34
Jeff Zimmerman: Second, I will not be hosting any more Sunday night chats until the first FAAB run of the 2023 season. I’m not sure of my new time slot.

Paul Sporer’s Baseball Chat – September 28th, 2022

Transcript is available!

1:01

Paul Sporer: Hey y’all! Just a week left in the regular season, can you believe it?!

1:01

Shifty manfred man: Hey Paul,

1:01

Paul Sporer: Hola!

1:02

MHII: How high are we taking Michael Harris next year? 2nd round?

1:04

Paul Sporer: He’s now a HR away from 20/20 and has only played 108 games! That said a .370 BABIP and 26% HR/FB rate are helping a lot and I worry that there won’t be any real regression assumed for him and he’ll go 2nd-3rd round pretty consistently. I love the talent and I’m a sucker power-speed, but I’ll probably fade the sky-high price for 2023

1:04

John: Pulled down a H2H Cats title this week.  Looking to next year, who is most likely to be real for 2023 – Brandon Drury, Jose Miranda (late May on) or Justin Steele?

Sunday Night Waiver Wire & FAAB Chat

7:41
Eric: Any SPs you think might lose starts once their team clinches?

7:42
Jeff Zimmerman: It’s tough to tell at this point

7:43
Jeff Zimmerman: The teams that have clinch have the off days to set up their rotations so no breaks. I think it will more likely be the wild card teams who have clinched and want to make sure their aces go from the start

7:43
JACK: Garcia in Houston will lose starts

7:44
Jeff Zimmerman: And thanks for waiting through the delay. My computer just locked up.

7:45
Jeff Zimmerman:

Paul Sporer’s Baseball Chat – September 21st, 2022

Transcript is available!

1:12

Paul Sporer: Hello everyone! Let’s talk some baseball!!

1:14

Davey Ping Pong: How would you order these guys in a Dynasty 12 Team Head to Head league: Adley Rutschman, Corbin Carroll, Gunnar Henderson, Josh Jung?

1:18

Paul Sporer: I think I’d go just as you’ve laid them out here! Adley is definitely my #1 and while Jung is last, it’s not because I don’t like him… I’m a huge fan!

1:18

Still not ready for fantasy football: Keep Megill over Stroman in a dynasty league?

1:21

Paul Sporer: Hmmm, I think I would, yes. Stro has had a good season, but he’s living on a wire and could easily be a low-to-mid 4.00s ERA guy without much skill degradation. Megill might be that, too, but at least it’ll come w/Ks and he does have major upside

1:22

Bobby: Would you keep Jose Siri at $10 in a 16 team dynasty (40 man roster/$400 cap)?

Sunday Night Waiver Wire & FAAB Chat

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Sorry about missing last week.

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Here are the Tout Wars winning bids for the two 15-team mixed leagues.

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman:

7:32
Guest: You sure Roansy has two starts? Razzball thinks so, but Yahoo! doesn’t. Im fighting for first in both innings and saves, and either starting him or Fairbanks depending on how I project his innings. Yikes.

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman: It looks like just one start according to Rotowire

7:33
Down to the (Waiver) Wire!: Hey! Thanks for still coming out for these. They’ve been very helpful.

Sunday Night Waiver Wire & FAAB Chat

7:30
Jeff Zimmerman: Welcome.

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Here are the bids from the two 15-team mixed Tout Wars leagues. As you will notice, one owner woke up and spent a ton of money.

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman:

7:32
Bruce in 2023: Which call up are you most confident in the ros : Spencer Steer, Triston Casas, or if Jung gets the call ?

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman: Jung

7:32
Rickey!: Andres Munoz or the returning Presley this week? And who would you sit between Morel, Luis Urias, Voit, or Gorman (whos facing all righties)?
