7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Welcome

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Here are the winning FAAB bids in the two 15-team Tout Wars redraft leagues.

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman:

7:31
NL Only: Del Castillo is my C2. Drop him for Campusano or hold?

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman: I think the move is lateral.

7:32
Guest: Hold or drop Abbott in a 15 team mixed?

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman: It always come down to his replacement.

7:33
Guest: Hi Jeff, I’ve been playing Tovar at SS since Lindor got hurt.  Would you cut him for Jose Fernandez?

7:33
Jeff Zimmerman: I’m staying with Tovar

7:33
Guest: What FAAB is Bazzana worth in 15 team mixed if I need steals?

7:33
Jeff Zimmerman: I think around $100.

7:33
Buck Jensen of Newport: Wooddruff cut? I know they are hoping not serious but can’t imagine it’s less than a month.

7:34
Jeff Zimmerman: I’m waiting on more information before I cut

7:34
Bruce & E Street: Logan Henderson an add over Joey Cantillo? Or attempt to own both if possible. 12T deep mixed roto

7:34
Jeff Zimmerman: Yes

7:34
Chucky: Bench bat swap Kwan or Caroenter

7:34
Jeff Zimmerman: Depends on your team’s needs if in Roto. In points, I’d go Kwan.

7:35
Daniel: Lodolo coming off IL this week. Drop Abbott or Mlod?

7:35
Jeff Zimmerman: Abbot and it’s not close

7:35
Tim: Any hope for Bryan Abreu? It looks really bad

7:35
Jeff Zimmerman: I’ve moved on

7:35
Rank ’em: These 1Bs rest-of-season in a 5×5 OBP league: Busch, Tork, Vaughn (back tomorrow), and Vinny P

7:36
Jeff Zimmerman: Vinny, Tork, Busch, Vaughn

7:36
Johnny5Alive: Super deep nl only roto league. We can’t just freely add and drop players due to old league rules (going back to when this was a mail league before the Internet). Anyway. I have morel from the auction, and I need to activate tonight or next week. Would you drop regnifo or France for him or give it another week? I bought morel before the season for the pop.

7:36
Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go with France

7:36
Brewskie: 12 teamer, Henderson available. Drop Dollander, Boyd, Schultz or Roupp for him?

7:37
Jeff Zimmerman: At this point, it’s Schultz

7:37
Guest: Agustin sent down. Need a catcher. Carson Kelly or Joe Mack?

7:37
Jeff Zimmerman: Mack

7:38
Denton: Is Luis Castillo a must-roster player in a standard 12 team cat league at this point?

7:38
Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe not, I have a short list for him. His start against the White Sox next week in enticing

7:39
Guesst: Angel bullpen a mess. Who’s the better stash, Yates or Joyce or stay away?

7:39
Jeff Zimmerman: Joyce or stay away

7:39
KCBBq: 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H keeper league using W+QS and S+1/2H. Have $61 of $100 FAAB left. My SPs are Bradish, McClanahan, Martin and Prelipp. Have Gray coming off the IL possibly this week. Have tried to trade for a good SP but owners holding on to them as if they are their first born. Are either Corbin or Kochanowicz worth bidding $1 on? Or just wait for Gray to come off the IL and hope Martin and Prelipp stay up for the year and are at least league average?

7:39
Jeff Zimmerman: Just stay, your staff is fine

7:40
Logan Henderson: What sort of FAAB should we be looking at in NL-only?

7:40
Jeff Zimmerman: 30% or more

7:40
Mike: hi Jeff quick question for you. Am I crazy for thinking that JJ Bleaday could really benefit from that ballpark and be a serviceable outfielder in a 15 man league starting 5of? I was gonna maybe drop his teammate tj  fridel for him. And also thanks for all the great work you do

7:41
Jeff Zimmerman: The issue is that he only faces righties. This week he has six righties on the schedule so he’s fine. Other times, it might just be two. He’s not a plug it and forget guy

7:41
steven Kwan: Am I wasting roster space in a 12?

7:41
Jeff Zimmerman: No

7:41
Rand: I have Luis Robert Jr., on an otherwise healthy OC team. Would you hold or drop?

7:42
Jeff Zimmerman: If you’re in one of my leagues, drop him, otherwise hold.

7:42
Willie Adames: Too soon to give up, right? 14 team mixed…I could put Cole Yoong at 2nd & Maikel Garcia at SS, or keep rolling with Garcia at 2nd & Adames at SS. Thoughts?

7:42
Jeff Zimmerman: Too early.

7:43
Jeff Zimmerman: A few years back, I looked at when the right time is to drop struggling pitchers and hitters. For pitchers, it was a month. For hitters, it was two months.

7:44
Skinny Pete: With Agustin getting demoted to AAA, do you prefer Yanier Diaz or Ryan Jeffers as a replacement at C?

7:44
Jeff Zimmerman: Diaz then Jeffers

7:44
KCBBq: How much FAAB in a 12 team AL only H2H 5×5 league using OPS do you think Bazzana is worth throwing a bid at? Looking at Fangraphs ROS projections and he doesn’t seem to offer a whole lot other than double digit steals.

7:45
Jeff Zimmerman: I think there might be decent SB options on the wire besides Bazzana, but he’s the shiny new toy, so I suspect he’ll go for around $100

7:45
Powdered Toast Man: Why isn’t Matt Shaw playing everyday in Chicago?

7:46
Jeff Zimmerman: Career .839 OPS vs LHP, .650 OPS vs RHP

7:46
Elton Joel: How would you rank Sheehan, Liberatore, Arrighetti and Roupe for the rest of the year?

7:46
Jeff Zimmerman: You have them backwards

7:46
Madalena: Vierling or Hays in deep AL only 5×5 roto ?

7:47
Jeff Zimmerman: Hays but I’d be looking for an immediate replacement

7:47
Joe: Please rank ROS SP pick ups; Jared Jones, Kyle Harrison and Nick Martinez for 12 team h2h categories league. Thanks!

7:47
Jeff Zimmerman: Harrison ……………………….Jones …………..Martinez

7:48
Mike: Where would Henderson have ranked among pitchers on your list this morning if he had been called up before you prepared it and is he a must add in 12-team leagues?

7:48
Jeff Zimmerman: Without knowing the results of today’s start, 6th or so. Now that the game happened, likely 1st.

7:49
Ricky: Jackson Holliday worth an IL stash if my 2B sucks in a 12 team roto? Seems like he’s really not making progress but I imagine he’ll be back eventually.

7:49
Jeff Zimmerman: No, a waste of spot in the 12-teamer IMO

7:49
Guest: how much FAAB % would you recommend on logan henderson

7:49
Jeff Zimmerman: I think he’ll go for around $250 to $350

7:50
Daniel: Should I drop Frelick for Rocchio? 14 team roto

7:50
Jeff Zimmerman: Sure

7:50
henryporter: 15-team NFBC, someone dropped Connelly Early last week. Want to go for him, Logan Henderson and Mick Abel, who was also let go. Our starting pitching needs serious help and wonder what percentages you think are good starting points to think about. Thanks, as always, for the valuable insight!

7:51
Jeff Zimmerman: There is going to be some bidding going on here with 20% or more going for Tolle and Hendrson

7:51
JG: In a 12 team mixed little league, is Melendez worth a shot for this week?

7:51
Jeff Zimmerman: Melendez is never the answer

7:51
OC 12s: any concern about henderson pitch count and workload? only got up to 67 pitches in the minors this year only 5 IP once. was great today but extremely efficient the first few innings not sure that can continue or how soon theyll let him throw 90-100 pitches

7:52
Jeff Zimmerman: Yes but what other options are there?

7:52
EV: Is D Fuentes done as a starter this season?

7:52
Jeff Zimmerman: For now yes, gamble elsewhere

7:52
Madalena: prefer Brice Mathews to Hays in AL only roto?

7:53
Jeff Zimmerman: Yes

7:53
Bruce & E Street: Henderson gets the Yankees next.  C.Scott is in Coors next.   Both still a target/add ?

7:54
Jeff Zimmerman: I don’t worry about opponents when adding talented arms until there is month left in the season. Add Henderson now, ignore Scott.

7:54
Super Deep League: C Scott or Rea better for ROS?

7:55
Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not a fan of Scott. He’s shown the skill to give up home runs and has little to no control in his first start.

7:55
Jeff Zimmerman: So Rea is my answer

7:56
Jacob: Is Bryce Elder worth a stash? Lots of buzz he is getting the call soon. Was held out tonight as well.

7:56
Jeff Zimmerman: Unless I’m in an NL-only league, I’m not stashing Elder

7:57
Roger Dorn: Where would Lourdes Gurriel land on your list if he was eligible (5×5 Roto w/OBP)?  Thank you!

7:57
Jeff Zimmerman: After Carlos Cartes

7:57
Bradish: Is Bradish droppable? Considering Rea or Ryne Nelson for him, you prefer one or the other?

7:58
Jeff Zimmerman: I’d keep Bradish, but just treat him as a hurt player. I just needs to ge the walks under control

7:59
Larry: thank you

7:59
Bourbonnais: Brice Mathews does K a lot but do you think he is beginning to emerge as a 14 team utility option – my other streaming options are Casey Schmitt and Nathaniel Lowe- looking for staying power in a weekly points dynasty format. Thanks JZ

7:59
Jeff Zimmerman: In a dynasty league, Matthews in the correct option. With no keeper element, I’d go Lowe

7:59
Aranda World: Total points league.  Looking for middle infield help to replace McLain.  Add Rocchio, A Martinez, or J Fernandez?

8:00
Jeff Zimmerman: Martinez

8:00
Jarred Kelenic: Worth more than a min bid in deep AL-Only 5×5 roto? What if one of the categories is temper tantrums?

8:01
Jeff Zimmerman: I’d ignore but a Min Bid is Authorized.

8:01
Jon: Antonacci hit leadoff today, does that make him a must add in a 16 team OPS league? How long until McLain can be dropped?

8:02
Jeff Zimmerman: Antonacci should be rostered by some team in the league. I have him rated just a bit better than McLain

8:02
Closer carousel: I bought in on Junis, and it turns out he’s no longer the closer. Is it worth going after Latz, or would I just be chasing my tail?

8:03
Jeff Zimmerman: Go after Latz but don’t over pay

8:03
Bradish: Is he droppable? Can add Ryne Nelson or Rea

8:03
Jeff Zimmerman: No for those two

8:03
Dude: Roupp or Canning ROS? Worried about sustainability, team context for Landen…

8:03
Jeff Zimmerman: It’s still Roupp for me. If/when he fails, I’ll deal with it then

8:04
Guest: Elmer Rodriguez in super deep AL Only roto, $100 FAAB, what is an appropriate bid?

8:04
Jeff Zimmerman: If a keeper league, sure. If a redraft league, I’m at probably a 10th of that

8:04
Tristan Peters: He’s starting, worth 5% as the clear-cut best bat on waivers in  a deep as deep gets AL-Only?

8:05
Jeff Zimmerman: No, a 1% bid at best. Save the money for good players

8:05
Some Guy: Need a replacement batter in AL only roto. Slim pickings left. Do you prefer Durbin, B. Matthews, or W. Perez? Thanks.

8:05
Jeff Zimmerman: Matthews, Durbn, Perez

8:05
Ashtray: Lose Abbott for Lambert? Cavalli?

8:05
Jeff Zimmerman: Yes on both

8:06
Larry: Who’s the better pickup for HR/RBI’s. Tork or Jac C. 10t h2h cat. Redraft.

8:06
Jeff Zimmerman: Tork

8:06
Tom: Is Volpe worth hanging onto in a 12t league after today’s news about going to AAA? Can’t tell if this is likely to be temporary or not.

8:07
Jeff Zimmerman: I think it’s for a bit but someone on the MLB team will need to be struggling while Volpe is hitting

8:08
Hank: In a QS you obviously always run the downside of a loss without the upside of a QS. Do stats like bb/9 become a lot more important in this case?

8:09
Jeff Zimmerman: I don’t know for sure. I just go for talent and hope the talented pitchers get the QS. I feel the time to deal with QS’s are in the draft when good QS options are available.

8:10
Trout: Next save for Angels goes to who?

8:10
Jeff Zimmerman: I think it’ll be Bachman or Zeferjahn

8:10
Jane: Hi Jeff, can you please rank Lambert, Canning, Sproat, and Gallen? Thank you again.

8:11
Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go as Lambert, Gallen, Canning, …. Sproat

8:12
Vince: Hi! 12-tm, H2H, category … best speculative add –Logan Henderson, Ryne Nelson, Junk? Is Carlos Cortes priority hitter, despite platoon? Thanks!

8:12
Jeff Zimmerman: Henderson

8:12
RAGBRAI: Does Logan Henderson pitch well enough to stay in Brewers rotation or is he up and down all season?

8:12
Jeff Zimmerman: I think there will some up and down.

8:13
Steve from NYC: Hi Jeff,  Mick Abel was dropping in my 15 tm standard 5×5.  How much FAAB out of 1000 would you bid?  Thx

8:13
Jeff Zimmerman: $50 max

8:13
Jeff Zimmerman: One sec, I’ll check the previous winning bids

8:14
Jeff Zimmerman: Wow, no adds last week

8:16
Jeff Zimmerman: I’d add either right now over Bradish. You have to be willing to be wrong about the move and Brash comes back to haunt you.

8:16
JD: who wiuld you prefer to own of the SD platoon trio Andujar, Sheets, and France?

8:16
Jeff Zimmerman: Andujar (position flexibility), France, Sheets

8:17
Max Dwyer: Where would Benge rank on your list?

8:17
Jeff Zimmerman: Around Jasson Dominguez

8:19
Mike: What caused you to downgrade Rico Garcia from great last week to good this week in the reliever report?

8:21
Jeff Zimmerman: Whoa, my computer crashed.

8:22
Jeff Zimmerman: Nothing, it was a long list  of names and I was more focused on Save chances

8:22
TK: If you were to rank your top dynasty third basemen and second basemen, where would you rank McGonigle and Wetherholt, respectively?

8:22
Jeff Zimmerman: Ask a dynasty expert, I quit all my dynasty and keeper leagues.

8:22
Guest: Bryce Eldridge worth stashing? Hearing buzz he was kept out of the line up along with Jesus Rodriguez? Thank you.

8:23
Jeff Zimmerman: Sounds like he’s coming up. Time to check leagues to see if he’s available.

8:24
Jeff Zimmerman: A 68% Contact% in AAA is tough to overcome.

8:24
Jeff Zimmerman: Let me pull some comps for everyone before I run out of time.

8:25
Jeff Zimmerman: His Steamer600 is not sexy:

8:25
Jeff Zimmerman:

8:28
Jeff Zimmerman: Here are some comps based off age, power, and contact rate.

8:28
Jeff Zimmerman:

8:29
Jeff Zimmerman: Some breakouts but also a lot of guys who struggled in their debut.

8:29
Jeff Zimmerman: For the season they debuted, Kurtz and Cruz are the only positives.

8:30
Jeff Zimmerman: Hope that helps and I need to go check my bids.

8:30
Jeff Zimmerman: Good luck
