I don’t think we can blindly trust every established name going on Tuesday, but there are a lot of options to consider across all levels with more than half the board getting some love for 12s and deeper.

The chart includes their 2024 stats (this changed over from last year’s stats on April 22nd), their opponent’s wOBA rank versus the pitcher’s handedness from this year so far (this is changed as of April 11th) and over the last 30 days, my general start/sit recommendation for 10-team, 12-team, and 15-team (or more) leagues, and then a note about them. Obviously, there are league sizes beyond those three so it’s essentially a shallow, medium, deep. If a pitcher only has an “x” in 15-team, it doesn’t mean there’s no potential use in 10s and 12s, but that just means it is a riskier stream as the league gets shallower.
These are general recommendations, and your league situation will carry more weight whether you are protecting ratios or chasing counting numbers. This is for standard 5×5 roto leagues. The thresholds for H2H starts are generally lower, especially in points leagues so I thought there would be more value focusing on roto and then you can generally expand these recommendations a bit for points leagues.
That Walker contract is so terrible – 36M over the next two seasons. Woof.
I’m a long-time Walker fan dating back to his prospect days, but yeahhh that’s looking rough. I wonder if they just cut bait on it and let him reset elsewhere
Is it crazy to sit Framber & Bibee if I’m at 3.65 ERA and 1.17 WHIP? Can’t gain anything in K’s, maybe one point in wins. But the other contenders are directly behind in ERA/WHIP by fractions…any blowup start could swing the league. Not really sure of the best strategy in this spot.
The ratio protection decisions can be so tough. Are you considering just benching everyone this wk? I’d probably still run Framber v. SEA. What kinda SPs are the chasers behind you running? Do you have good starts later in the week you can start to answer them if they have some guys pop off Mon-Thu? Push come to shove, I’m starting Framber and probablyyyy starting Bibee v. CIN, but I do understand wanting to be super careful here. Both have high W potential, too, so you can work toward that 1 point in Ws even if they aren’t amazing ratio-wise.
Whelp, I’m out. Ober’s 4 ER/5 IP dud ended my season. Curses!

Started with bad luck from drafting Bieber as my SP1. Ober had to pick up a lot of slack over the year, and he just hit a dud every time I needed more xD
I can still play DFS, though, so there’s that.
