Bobopedia: for the next 4 years, Brian Dozier or Yoan Moncada? Competitive window is ajar this year, but the following three years will have a more open window

Brad Johnson: Ooh, I’m a sucker for present value, but Dozier isn’t likely to be productive 3 or 4 years from now

Brad Johnson: Moncada could look something like Dozier as soon as 2018. I’d bet on Moncada to be better by 2020.

Brad Johnson: Given that you don’t seem too keen about 2018, I’d lean Moncada

kolten wong: Should I be worried about max schrock?

Christian Yelich: Odds i’m traded? Might see a HR spike away from Marlins Park?

Brad Johnson: Yelich is very likely to be traded by midseason. Given his consistently high HR/FB ratio, I don’t think we’ll see more homers in another venue.

Duncan: Where does Machado end up? And what do the Orioles get in return?

Brad Johnson: A little early to get a clean read on this. I’ll say St. Louis or San Francisco. Package led by Jack Flaherty or Tyler Beede plus another decent but unexceptional prospect. One year of Machado is valuable, but it’s not worth a monster haul.

Kristaps: Francisco Mejia… Will he start 2018 in the Minors or as Cleveland everyday catcher? Trade possibility?

Paul Sporer: Still want to see where Ohtani lands, but he’s right in the area of those 3. I have all four top 25 with Darvish at 11

Silly Beane: Does Ahmed Rosario have any fantasy value in keeper leagues, or does he project as too glove-reliant for IRL value?

Paul Sporer: Depends on league type, but he definitely strikes me as someone who will be a better real life player than fantasy for at least the first couple years of his career

Jordan: Let’s say you’ve already got Ohtani in a dynasty league. Do you shop him? Is he the rare guy that’s simply more fun to have, regardless of outcome?

Jim: Trade Rizzo for Ohtani in an OBP dynasty if I️ have Bryant/Arenado/Bellinger/Hoskins for 1B/3B/CI?

Brad Johnson: I know the Ohtani hype is big, but I would not trade for him at this point.

Brad Johnson: To me, his unique profile just reads as risk, and some sites are talking about treating him as two players – far from ideal for roster management

Brad Johnson: Moreover, Ohtani at his very best is probably comparable to Rizzo. You’d be taking on a ton of downside.

Tim: I feel like Robbie Ray is one of the more divisive pitchers heading into 2018. Where do you fall on him for next year?

Jordan: Akil Baddoo has some pretty incredible stats for an 18 year old in the Appy league. Think he’s the type of prospect that can really shoot up lists in dynasty circles?

Paul Sporer: Can’t believe the season is officially done, but the Hot Stove is already heating up. Let’s talk about it!!

Sox: Would a Rusney Castillo–Matt Kemp trade make sense for the teams?

Paul Sporer: I think the Sox want to do something else at DH so while in theory it might line up, I don’t think it’s plays in practice

Paul Sporer: Curious if we ever see Rusney get a real shot, though

Wes: Former Austinite here. Better Taco, Torchy’s or TacoDeli? For baseball purposes: Do you think Otani ditches the bat for pitching full time in a few years or could he be the first legit two way player we have seen in a long time?

Paul Sporer: I’m ride or die with Torchy’s. I just love it. The tacos I had at Galaxy Taco in San Diego were amazing and better than Torchy’s, but for local, I’m Torchy’s all day. All I’ve read re: Ohtani is that he wants to be somewhere he can hit. Obv can’t play the field every day he’s not pitching, but maybe 1-2x plus his ABs as SP

Paul Sporer: Hola, everyone! Eno’s at his gall bladder appointment. I had to have mine removed a couple years ago and he seems to be going through the same thing, so we’ll see what’s what after this appt.

Paul Sporer: Bellinger and Dever for sure. I like what Mancini did, but I still think I’d rather pay the freight on Seager

Paul Sporer: Ideally Trout and Harper 😉
