Week 24 FAAB Projections
No major rookie call ups, but some interesting names for the last month of the season.
The projection guidelines:
- The ownership rates are from CBS since they have some quickdraw waiver wire leagues where players can be picked up at any time.
- The FAAB estimates are based on the 2018 15-team mixed NFBC leagues which used a $1000 FAAB budget. Owners are going to need to convert these values to their own league.
- The ownership values were taken from Saturday and lots can happen in between when they publish and FAAB bids run.
- Only players owned in 50% or fewer of CBS leagues are examined.

- Mark Canha: His ownership is now jumping from 19% to 55%, which is about two months too late.
- Jon Berti and Tommy Edman: Both have been hitting at the top of their respective lineups (Marlins and Cardinals) with decent speed (8 SB and 9 SB) and some pop (6 HR and 5 HR). The pair’s ownership should have jumped weeks ago.
- Nick Solak: I had my doubts the Rangers would sit Roughned Odor for Solak, but Solak has started nine straight games.
- Seth Brown: Started four of the Athletics last five games. His results have been great and supported by a .556 BABIP.
- Sam Hillard: He’s been crushing balls for Colorado (.333/.385/.833). He could go for a nice penny in some leagues.
- Jake Cave: Cave has heated up hitting (.367/.424/.717) this past month.
- Mike Ford: He’s only playing half time for the Yankees so probably not startable.
- Josh VanMeter: He’s the right-handed part of a platoon with Phillip Ervin.
- Gavin Lux: If the rules allow, pickup Lux as soon as possible, especially with Max Muncy lost for the season.

- Adam Plutko: With a month of games against the AL Central, Plutko is a perfect addition for owners needing Wins.
- Adrian Houser: His ownership is slowly creeping up since his stats remain decent, especially the 55% GB%.
- Sean Manaea: The minor league results have been great but his fastball velocity is down at least 1 mph from last season.
Relievers (Saves focused): Only three closers making ownership jumps. I wonder if teams are set with Saves and are focusing more on starters.
