The 2025 Edition of The Process Available (Digital-Only)

The 2025 edition of The Process is now available. Like last year, only the appendix will have new studies and research. I wrote several studies with additional contributions from Jenny Butler, Patrick Davitt, Bryan Fitzgerald, Jake Maish, Carlos Marcano, Roger Strong, and Adam Warner.

The new appendix includes over 20 new research studies and analyses were performed. The research falls into the main categories of player evaluation, draft research, and FAAB research.

  • The player evaluation research looks at the effectiveness of the new bat speed metrics, projection error by player position, how many plate appearances are needed to return from injury, starting pitcher injury grades, using fantasy analyst rankings in addition to projections, and much more.
  • The draft research section looks at the effect of draft slot on reaching, how ADP changes across different NFBC formats, stashing players, and what factors contribute to hitter draft busts.
  • The FAAB research also looks at how various overall rankings allocate their FAAB during the season, stashing injured players during the season, and a unique group think bidding experiment to guide FAAB bids.

We will continue to offer two editions this year. More information on the Full 2025 and the Appendix 2025 Editions are available on the website.

For example, here is the work on how much a rookie or rehabbing pitcher’s velocity changes when going from the minors to the majors.

I definitely endorse purchasing the Process (or the appendix if you are a repeat purchaser). A lot of hard work goes into this for sure and it has definitely added to my fantasy tool kit.
