PITCHING ROS: Have 2 spots….keep montas, Richardson woods, or paddack.. need wins and Ks.

KCBBq: Who would you prefer throwing $1 FAAB at between Flexen and Manoah in a 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H league to replace Javier? I’m thinking Javier is still feeling theeffects of that nerve issue in his neck.

Jeff Zimmerman: I have no preference, maybe target a safe middle reliever

Guest: Christopher Sanchez is available in my 10 team NL only 5×5.  What % of FAAB would you bid for him?

Jeff Zimmerman: 10% to 20% in an NL only

Steve: Schneider or McCormick ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: schneider at this point

Bill: Drop Melendez for L Taveras?  13 team mixed redraft

Jeff Zimmerman: Sure … I think both can be streamed at this point

The Batman: Is CES a cut in a 12 teamer 5×5 for a Manzardo or Jon Singleton type? He was bad before the injury and no IL spot is making me lean towards a cut.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m moving on in the two spots I have him. Singleton might be an improvement

Kut Me: In the new Player Rater (nice tool!) the various ROS projections have have Kutter rated between 80 and 120 – a lot lower than he’s rated for the start of the season. Do you see underlying metrics that justify that drop or that concern you? Is it time to sell high?

Jeff Zimmerman: The projections now see him as a full-time starter so his ratios got worse. His preseason projection was too ambitious.

Fake Cronenworth: Deep OBP league…feel like it’s time to move on from Jorge Polanco. Please rank Neto, Julien, Toro, Gorman, Drury, J Ortiz, B Lowe as MI replacements.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d prefer Polonco over all of them. If I squint hard enough, maybe I’d add Neto

KCBBq: Seriously considering playing for 2025 due to poor roster management and major under performance. 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H keeper league using W+QS and S+1/2H. $260 team salary. Pick 2 to throw $1 at between Hendriks (may be closing in Aug), Felix Bautista, Bieber (FA in 2025), Drew Rasmussen (3rd TJ), Story and Alex Manoah.

Jeff Zimmerman: Manoah and Rasmussen. With both, you will know this season how they are doing. If horrible, you can then move onto your other choices

Matt: 12 team league. I have 738 left in FAAB how much would you for Friedl? 8th in runs, 6th in homeruns and stolen bases.

Jeff Zimmerman: I feel it’s going to take $100 but he didn’t go for that much last week in the NFBC. One sec …

Jeff Zimmerman: All rookies seem to be struggling (THE BAT was right). The days of every rookie just taking off is on pause.

KCBBq: So many highly touted rookies who’ve been called up have struggled once brought up. Manzardo is available tonight and he’s not playing everyday plus struggling so far. How much FAAB do I need to bid to get him? We use $100 FAAB and have $31 left. Last week Loperfido went for $9. 12 team AL only keeper league.

Jeff Zimmerman: If it’s keeper, you need to go $10 to $12 dollars.

In 4th & Confused: Hi Jeff, thank you for these weeklies.  I am in fourth place and have a fall IL squad consisting of Dominguez ($1 keeper), McLain, Baz, Devin Williams ($3 keeper) and Pepiot.  I have an opportunity to trade for Austin Riley, Fairbanks or Hader + Jazz.  Should I wait it out or should I pull trigger? I also have Caminero in NA just waiting to be called up

Dan: When you look at newly released bat tracking data (hooray!) and see that Morel has outstanding bat speed, does it change your perception him as a hitter at all? Or are his swing decisions poor enough that you think he’ll always struggle to live up to his physical tools?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’ll go on a small rant … 95% of the info on Savant already tracks hard-hit balls and now they have another source to verify if someone is hitting the ball hard. I think the info will be noise and plan on having others figure out if any of it will be useful.

Guest: I know you’ve probably been asked before. But can you set the record straight give me your “great, good, fine, okay, etc” rating structure when it comes to relievers in your FAAB articles (ie is okay better than fine?)? I think I have it right but just want to be sure. Thanks!!

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m normal looking at the FG bullpen depth chart and need a way to differentiate the pitchers. This week, everyone ran together with good or great setup men getting added.

Bomo: Do you look at Statscast X stats as the real performance when deciding to cut or keep a player?

Jeff Zimmerman: Almost never. The only x stat I use is to see if a hitter’s low BABIP is deserved with xAVG.

GP: Is Conforto worth a hold in 15 team NFBC? Would look to add an OF like E Rosario or J DeLuca.
