Love is a Battenfield: Drop Jose Alvarado or Abner Uribe for Jeff Hoffman or Michael Kopech? Hoffman getting more 9th inning chances and Uribe came in today in the 7th for the heart of the BAL order and struggled.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d drop Uribe for Kopech

Daro: Jordan Walker was dropped and I have the #1 ww priority in my 10 teams redraft points league. Should I pull the trigger?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, add good players to your team.

Guest: Better speculative add: Ben Brown or Christian Scott?

Jeff Zimmerman: Both of these two should be great. I’ve been adding Brown when possible because I can get stats now

Tony 2 Chains: Would you drop V.Scott for Perkins or Jacob Young (or both)?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d add Young over Scott2. Just know, Young is probably a bad baseball player

The Dude: You rolling with Michael Lorenzen tomorrow at the Tigers in his season debut?

Jeff Zimmerman: God no. There is a reason Lorenzen wasn’t signed until the season started. He sucks. Go with a middle reliever

JimmyP: Hi Jeff, in an 18 teamer. Are u holding onto Gavin Williams?, or possibly dropping him for either Y. Rodriguez/Butto/Criswell?  Thank you

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d drop for Butto

KCBBq: What kind of FAAB is needed to get Holliday and Hamilton in a 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H using W+QS? Have $84 of 100 FAAB. Last week Langford went for 44 and I was the underbidder at 43. Next highest was upper 30s. I was thinking upper 30s for Holliday and 10-13 for Hamilton. Concern for Holliday is his projections don’t show much pop.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m surprised Langford went for so little. My guess it’ll take more than $44 since people saw it as a benchmark. In an AL only with little to no talent showing up, I’d go $50+

Peter: Hi Jeff, I’m looking for an upgrade over Tim Anderson at MI on the wire. Blaze Alexander, Bryce Turang, David Hamilton and Ahmed Rosario are available.  Like any or have any thoughts on someone else? Thanks!

Jeff Zimmerman: Turang for sure. Then Alexander. The other two seem like a lateral move and just go off the schedule

Jeff Zimmerman: Depends on the WW options.

Jeff Zimmerman: I have no idea about his injury time frame. I have to go with what the teams says

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes because you might have Yates for the whole year.

Jeff Zimmerman: Tempered, I’m not as excited as the crowd. It feels like people are getting antsy to make some large FAAB bids.

Chris: Which two would you keep of Andrew Abbott, Mackenzie Gore, Mason Miller, Ben Brown and Peter Fairbanks?  SP and RP depth/needs are equal.

Jeff Zimmerman: One to check two items on it.

Jeff Zimmerman: Butto velo is fine. It was down in AAA

Jeff Zimmerman: I can’t find Butto’s Ball%. I was wanting to see if he continued to throw strikes.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m interested where he’s available.

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes on both

Guest: would data back up the idea that age 21-23 seasons (or so) are more likely to be average or worse than the market treats them?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think we only remember the greats who come up and succeed at that age and forget the missed.

Guest: Nobody in fantasy expert circle honing in on Yariel Rodriguez?  Why?  Looked great  in recent start.

Jeff Zimmerman: Before I pay a ton of FAAB on him, I want to see him go longer 3.2 IP (68 Pitches).

Jeff Zimmerman: 2.1  and 4.0 IP in the minors.

Yoyomama: Any love for Jesse Winker?

Jeff Zimmerman: Winker is streamable in most formats with other similar guys.

Ragans to Riches: Drop Mitch Garver for Luis Campesano? 12 team 5×5 OBP league. Getting nothing from my C slot but can be patient if Garver’s worth holding a bit.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d stick with Garver

Sac-town A’s: JP Sears wasn’t on your (invaluable!) WW list. Is he ahead or behind his teammate Paul Blackburn?

Jeff Zimmerman: Sears in ahead. Roster% was too high for rankings

Levels of Mistakes: My team is light on homers and RBIs in a 12 team NFBC league, and I could use a more defined OF quintet so I can use Mookie in the middle infield. How deep should I be going on Cowser? There’s just a part of me that feels like he’s early season fool’s gold but I also know heavy is the only play to get him.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not going heavy and in my 12’s, there are a ton of Steamable outfielders. Go after the COL guys. they are at home in 3 of the next 4 series and should run wild this week.

Catching Trouble: Salvy or Cal Raleigh, OBP league. Worried about the former’s groin and the latter K-rate.

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s nice to have those options. I’m eyeing Pinto as a Perez replacement in one league

Jeff Zimmerman: The hype is over but he’s still a decent option

HappyFunBall: I’m sure he’s going to stop hitting HRs eventually, but Michael Busch…how big of a league are we comfortable starting him at 1B in?

Billy Bigshot: Bradford worth a hold with the back injury? 12 team mixed.

Jeff Zimmerman: No, my 12’s had equivalent options on the wire. Now in 15s, you might need to hold.

Sammy: 13 team mixed redraft…what % of FAAB for Cowser?  Would be replacing Meadows

Jeff Zimmerman: The hype is insane. I think it’ll take 20% bids.

Guest: What percent of FAAB would you spend on Skenes if he were called up?

Jeff Zimmerman: 20% to 40%

JV: winn at Miami OR Varland 2 step at Balt, vs Det

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sure Varland belongs in the majors as a starter. I’m dropping him where I have him and moving on.

Shred: Deep league SP struggles.  Blackburn, Perez, Yariel is as good as it gets in FA.  Better to just sit on Tiedemann?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d drop any of them for Tiedermann

Boston: Hi Jeff!  Am I nuts to read Jordan Westburg’s upticks in barrels, FB%, and xslg to suggest a possible power spike?

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s a week but everyone walking around aroused so if you want him, it’s the week to pay up

Alec Lemas: When I’m King I’ll mandate fresh popcorn in all movie theaters, an end to daylight savings time, radio stations can only play music (no talk shows peddling faux outrage and endless bickering) and FAAB bidding will be moved worldwide to Mondays. 🙂

Porcho Villa: Is Alvarado a must hold in 12 team 5×5 SV only? He’s my fourth closer (E Diaz, Phillips, Ginkel) and roster is tight /  need the spot for SP depth

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d get a starter if decent. In some spots, I’m moving to an extra hitter

Jeff Zimmerman: Puk and Weathers can be dropped for middle relievers.

HOf: When do teams start the changes in roster, looking at Houston and Luperfido up for Abreu

Jeff Zimmerman: Usually two-weeks to a month. I’ve heard that some players are told this time.

Jeff Zimmerman: I added Luperfido in the ToutWars league and could see him come up at center or first.

Porcho Villa: Talked myself into Morel as a long term 3B solution with his early CT% improvement but with his 4th 0 for 4 in a row he’s streaky as ever. Would you go for Westburg, Hayes, or Chapman over him?

Jeff Zimmerman: I like Morel over those other options.

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, but it might be for just the next 2 weeks

Jeff Zimmerman: So far, yes. The main reason is that the options haven’t been great.
