Starting Pitcher Chart – April 15th, 2024

Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

Daily SP Chart archive

Pitchers drafted in 150-250 range in the Main Event that I’m really looking to hold through this early storm:

You can find that ADP here and then select Main Event. I think I want at least 5-6 starts before moving off this group if I bought in on them at the draft table. League size and who is available of course plays a role as these are mostly for 12s or more.

Starter Notes April 15, 2024
Tyler Glasnow LAD v WSN x x x 120 3.53 1.08 26% 8th I so badly want to see a full season of this, pleeeease stay healthy!
George Kirby SEA v CIN x x x 190 3.35 1.04 20% 14th It’s undoubtedly been brutal these last 2 and yet I just can’t take him out
Sonny Gray STL at OAK x x x 184 2.79 1.15 17% 29th Great tune-up to open his season as he needed just 64 pitches for 5 IP
Zach Eflin TBR v LAA x x x 177 3.50 1.02 23% 23rd 2 duds and a gem so far; I’m not concerned at all
Aaron Nola PHI v COL x x x 193 4.46 1.15 20% 5th 2 ER over his last 11.7 IP is nice, but still just 7 K and 7 BB
Kutter Crawford BOS v CLE x x x 129 4.04 1.11 19% 16th Dodging trouble of his 13% BB rate thanks to a .189 BABIP/88% LOB; hopefully BB% regresses before the other 2
Joe Musgrove SDP at MIL x x x 97 3.05 1.14 19% 2nd Was hoping the STL gem would be the start of something, but CHC hit him for 4 ER in 4 IP
Seth Lugo KCR at CHW x x x 146 3.57 1.20 17% 26th Results have withstood K% and velo dips so he’s hard to pull out of lineup
Merrill Kelly 켈리 ARI v CHC x x x 177 3.29 1.19 16% 12th Off to another strong start
Kyle Harrison SFG at MIA x x x 34 4.15 1.15 16% 30th 2 gems and the 1 dud is at LAD which is excusable since he should’ve been sitting anyway
Chris Bassitt TOR v NYY x x x 200 3.60 1.18 15% 7th Better last time out except the 4 BB which has been part of an uncharacteristic 12% BB
Luis Gil NYY at TOR x x #N/A #N/A #N/A #N/A 24th Cost himself a bit last time w/pitch count run up by 4 BB resulting in just 4.3 IP
Frankie Montas CIN at SEA x x 1 0.00 2.25 0% 30th Hit a bit v. MIL, but just 1 HR in 3 starts is encouraging (6% HR/FB will regress)
Louie Varland MIN at BAL x x 68 4.63 1.22 19% 10th Still bought in and think this 2-step could get him on track (v. DET this wknd)
Joe Ross MIL v SDP x #N/A #N/A #N/A #N/A 11th I feel like he could be sneaky deece for mixed leagues
Martín Pérez PIT at NYM x 141 4.45 1.40 7% 1st We saw his run-hot last an entire season in 2022 so I can see some deep lg stream appeal
Reese Olson DET v TEX x 103 3.99 1.12 17% 4th Tough matchup, but I’d roll w/him in weekly lineup lgs to get the 2-step (at MIN this wknd)
Michael Lorenzen TEX at DET x 153 4.18 1.21 10% 25th Great matchup, but what’s he going to bring in this debut? Temper expectations.
Ben Brown CHC at ARI #N/A #N/A #N/A #N/A 15th 1 of 3 notable prospects I’m keeping tabs on, but not starting today
Adrian Houser NYM v PIT 111 4.12 1.39 13% 13th PIT isn’t 1 to pick on right now and at LAD looms this wknd
Patrick Sandoval LAA at TBR 144 4.11 1.51 8% 22nd I’ve always liked him, but at TBR/at CIN is a difficult 2-step
Cole Irvin BAL v MIN 77 4.42 1.28 14% 23rd Hasn’t looked great and I’m not really looking forward to MIN/at KCR this wk
A.J. Puk MIA v SFG 56 3.97 1.18 27% 9th Only 1 ER at NYY, but still 5 BB… my confidence is non-existent
Ross Stripling OAK v STL 89 5.36 1.35 14% 22nd I miiight run this in 18+ teamers for the 2-step (at CLE this wknd)
Xzavion Curry CLE at BOS 95 4.07 1.35 9% 21st No thanks
Cal Quantrill COL at PHI 99 5.24 1.46 5% 27th Alllways a big risk for the blowup start
Nick Nastrini CHW v KCR #N/A #N/A #N/A #N/A 9th Intriguing prospect, but I wanna see something before diving in + KCR is scary these days!
Patrick Corbin WSN at LAD 180 5.20 1.48 8% 11th And he gets HOU this weekend!
Spencer Arrighetti HOU v ATL #N/A #N/A #N/A #N/A 1st Interesting prospect drew white-hot KCR for his debut and now ATL… rough!
Darius Vines ATL at HOU 20 3.98 1.08 8% 6th Nope
