Need for speed: Myles straw was dropped. What do u think about him for speed. He is pretty empty otherwise

Jeff Zimmerman: He plays and steals bases. For some managers, there will be helpful.

BoB: What kind of bid are we looking at for Bobby Miller in ME leagues where he’s available now?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m having a tough time gauging the bids for Stone, Liberatore, and him. I have the feeling one might just a couple starts and back down. I think I’m under $50 but I’m sure others will go a lot higher.

Guest: Jose Siri or Lane Thomas ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: Thomas

Richie: Who are some good names to explore for deep (20 team) leagues in need of 3B or SS help?

Jeff Zimmerman: McKinstry and Maton. Not much out there for SS

Mark: need MI fill in for Polanco. Julien, Luis garcia, or dejong?

Jeff Zimmerman: DeJong, Julien, Garcia

Guest: I’m not who is closing for the Cubs right now. What is your thoughts on Jeremy Estrada eventually getting a shot?

Jeff Zimmerman: Very little, I’m not on Eno’s STUFFF train with him.

Guest: Ben Lively.  “That’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time.”  Once a semi-interesting Phillies prospect now in his early 30’s with 11 good innings for the Reds.  Is he worth kicking the tires on in NL only redraft formats?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think he is an ideal add and bench. His first game was great so let’s see what changed

Daro: A bit of a logjam with my OFs in a 12 team keepers league: Jrod, K Tucker, Eloy, Suzuki, Kelenic, J Lowe. Will you drop any of them for Laars who was dropped today?

Jeff Zimmerman: No … but it’s close with Kelenic or Eloy. I feel you might be able to get more than Nootbaar in a trade for either one.

Jeff Zimmerman: Stone for me and it’s not close right now.

Fan of Jeff: Any feel for when Hendriks might return and what his initial role might be? I’m considering adding and starting Graveman (#12 Streamonator for next week) in a H2H points league this week.

Jeff Zimmerman: I want nothing to do with him. He’s been horrible for two seasons and is struggling in his rehab.

qane: Is there a link to the methodology behind your weekly save-based rankings? If not, can you share what you’re looking at? Thanks!

Jeff Zimmerman: 100% role. There are others who cover relievers in depth so I just try to highlight some of the lower rostered guys.

Jim: Would you speculate on Bo Naylor in a 2 catcher redraft?  Would be releasing Stephenson

Jeff Zimmerman: I wouldn’t release Stephenson

SP Options: How would you rank these guys: Varland, Paxton, Senga

Jeff Zimmerman: I have Paxton and Varland in a virtual tie and then Senga

Chris: Need to replace Machado for the week. Small league with Jung, Baty, Duran, paredes and Suarez available. Who you rolling with this week?

Jeff Zimmerman: Suarez with SEA at 7 games vs OAK and PIT

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d drop Kimbrel

Jeff Zimmerman: Moncada for now. I’m worried about Baty’s playing time.

Doug: Drop Sandoval for Wacha?

Jeff Zimmerman: Drop both for some middle reliever

4seam: What should the pitching strat be if waivers are barren and era will keep going up? Prioritize elites? Or general high K, gb pitchers?

Jeff Zimmerman: You need to come up with middle reliever plan and try to get guys who haven’t throw and are being used in high leverage spots.

Jeff Zimmerman: It sucks and I’d for sure drop $15 to $20 for a newsletter that would provide me the information.

Martin: In what format is Taylor ward still ownable?

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably in 12-teamers as a bench bat

Kyle hendricks: Chris Martin, Erik Swanson or Hunter Harvey?

Jeff Zimmerman: Martin, Jansen seems to be struggling

frank: what are your thoughts on lance lynn – seemed to be better this week

Jeff Zimmerman: He was just getting hit around. That rarely sticks so regression came but it took a while

Cardinals: How do you feel about Flaherty ROS?  Do you prefer Varland and Liberatore over him?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sure Flaherty is droppable but I would prefer the other two

Wreck it Ralph: Who do you prefer ROS in a IP capped 5×5 roto between Montgomery and Smyly? I kinda believe in both of them!

Jeff Zimmerman: I had been rough on him for years, but there have been some steady gains and I was happy to add him in a league where he was available

equist: Picked up Senzel to cover some IL problems, but he’s fading.  Is it worth it to grab Vientos, Moniak, Arcia, or Owen Miller, or just stick with Senzel for a couple more weeks?

Jeff Zimmerman: I like Senzel out of that group

cb: My main rotation pieces I got at auction this year were Woodruff, Urias, and Musgrove.  Is there any hope left for me?  Deep league, nobody like Varland or anything left out there.  Any deep adds to recommend?  Smith-Sawver?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’ve got a league like this … just beat up. I think I’m just going to go for middle relievers and try to win ERA, WHIP, and Saves. It’s worked before to get 2nd and a decent pay day

Closers: What is your confidence level in Kimbrel ROS?  I’m desperate for saves.

Jeff Zimmerman: Very little but there aren’t many options.

Jeff Zimmerman: That is just how messed up leagues. Who got dropped in one league the week before, might not have in the other. Also, these leagues allow rookies to be added but they have to start for the whole first week.

Cookie Rojas: Thanks for the chat JZ.  Two questions- Dynasty pts league: Who would you rather have (long term and rest of season) Tylor Megill or Hayden Wesneski?   And would you rather roster Clay Holmes or wait on Alvarado’s return in a points format where there is value in both saves and holds?

RGM: Matt Chapman has struggled in May… Is he a start your stud and don’t think about it, or is Suarez/McMahon an option for this upcoming week?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes and I’d go with a min bid to slide him past others. Also, makes cutting easier if he gets hurt again.

Stuff +: Why do you dislike it?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think he has some uses for guys with 3 or few starts, but then other metrics are more useful.
