Jeff Zimmerman: No on Cruz, possibly on Turner depending on the replacements.

John: Did Trevor Rodgers and Charlie Morton look better today?

Jeff Zimmerman: No idea, I didn’t watch them throw

Kingpin: Arizona’s offense seems to be better the the week or two. Is this just anecdotal, or should we be more careful streaming pitchers against them?

Jeff Zimmerman: They either hit a ton of homers or nothing. I’m not worried knowing that any start could get out of hand.

Battered and Old: I always appreciate your insights, Jeff.   What percentage FAAB would you spend on George Kirby in a 15 team keeper league?

Jeff Zimmerman: Kirby’s going for a ton (IMO). In Tout, it was 10% to 20% but I could see teams desperate for pitching go up to 50%.

Zach: Yepez up for good?

Jeff Zimmerman: As long as he hits but might be on the strong side of a DH platoon.

Kingpin: Streaming my 2nd catcher spot in 8-team NL-only standard 5×5 league. Lineups set on Tuesday. Looks like AZ has 4 games vs lefties. That makes Cooper Hummel an OK streamer for me, no?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, if he’s qualified at C

Barney: 15-team NFBC format. What % FAAB are you dropping on Jhoan Duran & George Kirby?

Jeff Zimmerman: Duran is a tough call since he was demoted. I could see him go from 3% to 10% for teams needing steals

Jeff Zimmerman: Kirby I expect in the 10% to 50% range

Seth: Kevin Smith–seems like the ingredients are there (good chase rate, good max exit velo), he just hasn’t strung it together. Any hope beyond streaming him for the 9 game week?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think he closes if the team can use him that night. He had arm issues last year so he seems to be getting plenty of rest.

Chucky: How long do you generally wait before the box scores matter more than the back of the baseball cards? At wait point do you come to the realization that it ain’t gonna happen’ for this guy this year? i. e. Trevor Story

Jeff Zimmerman: I start caring now. For pitchers it’s possibly a cut or to the bench. For hitters I want to see improvements.

Jeff Zimmerman: 20% to 30% and don’t work about paying the over bid. Play to win the league

Owen: Cutting Sale? Do you mean based on his recent setback (sounds non injury related)? Or are you just not willing to hold a red suitcase that long?

Tom: In an “average” league for you, how much time “on average” do you spend making your FAAB selections.  Then do you “last minute” make changes, or just stick with initial thought

Jeff Zimmerman: I have two parts. First I pull in all my info I will use for every league (bullpens, projections, rosters, etc). That might take an hour. Once there, I spend about 5 minutes on my own leagues. I share a few and those take much longer
