fn: Do you see Houser pitching 5+ innings during his starts normally or is Counsell going to use some bullpen shenanigans to limit his win opportunities?

Jeff Zimmerman: Houser’s GB% should help to keep his pitch count low. As long as he’s effective, he should go 5 innings

RMR: Current RPs: Melancon, Doolittle, joe jimenez.  Thinking of dropping Doolittle due to velo drop and role questions.  Available: kim, burdi, kintzler, hudson, givens, Shane greene (if Melancons back issue continues).  Thinking drop doolittle for kim (he at least has job for now) and keep watching all these closer situations.  Thoughts?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yep. The lineup without Soto doesn’t worry. The chances for a Win are low since he’s facing Scherzer

chad: Kwang-hyun Kim or Chris Bassit worth putting a bid on in a 12 team?  if so, how much?

Jeff Zimmerman: Sure, 5%. I’m dropping around 10%+ per period. I want to keep the pressure on while still having some money for the end.

AJ: Raisel Iglesias just got dropped in my league and I’m not totally confident in my relievers to pick up saves (Nick Anderson, Hansel Robles, Kwang-Hyun Kim). I have the #1 waiver priority in my league and I was planning on sitting on it until a stud gets dropped, is it worth using on Raisel?

Wisco: Any thoughts on Mengden? Supposedly changed his mechanics and looked good, but also coming off injury. Will he go 5 innings any time soon?

Jeff Zimmerman: Don’t do it. Just see how he does against the Astros who have seen him several times.

Eds: Is it crazy to consider 25% of FAAB on Kike in a 15 teamer where he’s by far the best option on the wire and you’re currently rostering Dubon at MI?

Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe but I wouldn’t for him. Kike is not a difference maker and Dubon could be OK
