| 7:34 |
: My projections have Taj first as a 4.08 ERA talent, then Framber at 4.12, and then Ginn at 4.38.
| 7:34 |
: Is River Ryan going to save my season?

| 7:35 |
: No, unless you play in a AAA league
| 7:35 |
: How much can you rely on pitching+ in short term. Rank QS league 13team Junk (healthy one) Ryne Nelson Reid Detmers Sandlin Logan Henderson
| 7:36 |
: I only examine the last 3 weeks of STUPH models; after that, results (K%, SwStr%, BB%, Ball%) are more predictive.
| 7:37 |
: Thank you for the great WW pitcher piece. Where would Ginn and Bello slide in relative to the likes of Jump and Sandlin?
| 7:38 |
: They would be right in there. I think I might go with Jump and Sandlin, hoping for upside.
| 7:38 |
: What’s your take on Jacob Gonzalez’s power burst to start the year at AAA? SSS theater, or true breakout?
| 7:39 |
: He increased his EV by almost 4 mph. That’s legit.
| 7:39 |
: I’m running comps, so give me a sec …
| 7:41 |
:
| 7:41 |
: And here they using just Contact% and EV’s
| 7:42 |
: Some good and bad, but definately someone to take a chance on.
| 7:42 |
: Is Colt Keith droppable in a deep 12team AL Only for the likes of Nathan Lukes or Victor Mesa?
| 7:42 |
: I’d hold Keith for those two, maybe drop for Gonzalez
| 7:42 |
: Taking any fliers on Grayson Rodriguez in ALonly? Stuff+ looks ok, and he was better albeit against the Tigers. Home vs Colorado next.
| 7:43 |
: He seems to be improving with each start, so I think he’s worth an add
| 7:43 |
: NL Hitters on my waiver wire (I have an opening!): Valazquez, Ty France, Jared Young, Drew Gilbert, Yaz, and this guy is the most intriguing to me: Jonah Cox Your thoughts? |
| 7:43 |
: Yaz
| 7:43 |
: Spencer Miles got lit up today, any change to your outlook on him?
| 7:45 |
: Even after getting lit up, he has an 8.4 K/9, 3.0 BB/9, 56% GB%, and 3.47 ERA (3.28 xFIP). Hell yes I’m still interested.
| 7:46 |
: Looking to pick up Ryan (LAD)…drop Prielipp? Urena? Nelson?
| 7:46 |
: Urena
| 7:46 |
: Are you more willing to gamble on Christian Scott or Jack Leiter having figured out the pitching thing?
| 7:46 |
: Scott for sure
| 7:47 |
: I’m not as sold on Leiter, I feel he’s over rostered
| 7:48 |
: I have a list of potential pickups in my leagues and Leiter would rank 20th
| 7:49 |
: Hi Jeff! For my AL Only OBP Bench Bat, do you like any of Taveras, Osuna, Cowser, IKF, Schneeman? Thanks!
| 7:49 |
: Taveras
| 7:50 |
: JJ Bleday was cut in my 12 team OC. He does the things my team is already good at, but his skills have been so strong and the results are there so I have to bid. How much FAAB do you think seems reasonable for Bleday?
| 7:52 |
: I was looking for adds from last week for reference, there were none. I’m guessing he’ll at least go for $50. If I had a team that needed his skill set, I’d go way higher.
| 7:52 |
: sure seems like Trevor Megill has the closer gig now. how much would you be willing to spend in faab in 12s
| 7:53 |
: Wherever he’s available, he’ll go for at least $50
| 7:53 |
: High was $43 last week
| 7:53 |
: Tough NL only 12 team league. Have Adrian Del Castillo thinking of switching him out for Jesus Rodriguez. Anything here?
| 7:54 |
: It’s so bad, I looking at dumping for Rodriguez for Castillo
| 7:54 |
: In must cases, I just stream the weekly matchups
| 7:55 |
: Eldridge had a good weekend in Coors. How much do we have to discount that? His statcast looks great, his Ks are under control, and he seems to be playing every day?
| 7:58 |
: He looks to be a decent platoon bat (54 PA vs RHP, 7 vs LHP) who is only Utility only. Joc Pederson clone.
| 7:58 |
: Miles appeared to be tipping his pitches today, fwiw. When Basallo was the base runner at 2B he was flapping his arms prior to fastballs being thrown. His command wasn’t sharp but that certainly didn’t help either.
| 7:58 |
: Thanks for info
| 7:59 |
: Thinking of dealing Ohtani for tatis/rice/sanchez..thoughts? (I’m in 1st currently)
| 7:59 |
: For all three, sure if it’s not a keeper league and the three are significant upgrades. at each position.
| 8:00 |
: Is Braxton Ashcraft a sell-high or are we holding?
| 8:02 |
: I think he was way undervalued coming into the season and nothing he’s doing feels out of place. Bad preseason analysis
| 8:03 |
: Turning things around? Worth a dart in a deep enough league?
| 8:04 |
: Strong side platoon bat with a 32% K% in May. If those types of players are useful, add him.
| 8:04 |
: I’m in huge need of power hitting. Stuck with the likes of Machado, Tatis, Greene and Neto. Have pretty solid pitching led by Schlittler. Trying to maybe unload him for a bat. Any advice? Possible sleeper adds for power?
| 8:06 |
: I’d go another month before unloading Schlittler. As for sleeper power souce …. Ezequiel Duran
| 8:06 |
: Tyler Walls or Jake Meyers, if you had to lose one? (In a league where this matters, obviously….)
| 8:07 |
: Keep Meyers
| 8:07 |
: Christian Scott would easily top this week’s WW list, yes? Acquired on your recommendation to fill a back-end slot, and zero regrets! Could you pls rank Gore, Lugo, Kelly, Grayson RoS with weighting toward WHIP? Thanks, Jeff! |
| 8:09 |
: Gore …. and the other three. The three I have valued within 0.10 ERA
| 8:09 |
: Who would you rather have ROS in 5by5 10 team roto? Bregman or Jung?
| 8:09 |
: I have them dead even in talent, pick the one you like best
| 8:10 |
: Meyer, Early, Leiter — who ya got?
| 8:10 |
: Meyer and it’s not close
| 8:11 |
: Should I Matt McLain for a pitcher? I have Gelof and Antonacci on my bench. 12 team NFBC
| 8:12 |
: Yes. It’s not so much based on talent but the lack of playing time.
| 8:13 |
: Bubba ! Rank ROS 12 Team Redraft : K Anderson, D May, E Cabrera , T Rogers (Bal), C Prielipp. Thanks !
| 8:13 |
: You had your week of fame at Rotographs
| 8:14 |
: That’s the order by swap Rogers and Prielipp
| 8:15 |
: Are we cutting bait on Cags yet? I’m still hanging on, but it’s not fun. 10 team, with Varsho and Soderstrom (yes, someone gave up on him) out there.
| 8:15 |
: I think he’s very blah with his Contact% down 6% points.
| 8:17 |
: Here are his talent comps. The great can give people hope
| 8:17 |
:
| 8:17 |
: Should I start Randy Vasquez (@PHI, home vs NYM) or just sub in Grant Taylor for ratios and maybe a hold?
| 8:18 |
: I’d use him but I use just about anyone
| 8:18 |
: Of the guys expected to go for big dollars tonight, who will provide the most value per dollar spent, Jones, Melton, Jump, Sandin
| 8:19 |
: With just their MLB starts, I have Sandin first, then Jump and Jones tied with Melton a distant fourth
| 8:20 |
: Any renewed interest in Imai after a couple decent starts? Surely at least better than Steven Matz?
| 8:21 |
: I usually don’t move that fast on changing my opinion of Imai. I have him around a 5.50 ERA talent with his recent performance even worse
| 8:22 |
: On the 25th, he walked twice as many batters than he struck out.
| 8:22 |
: Any thoughts on these aging veterans or failed prospects in an AL-only? Goldy, Joc, Grissom, Manzardo, Peraza, Leody. Any of them you think would be worth an active spot RoS? Or just “hot streak” it?
| 8:23 |
: Goldschmidt is the only one
| 8:23 |
: Hi Jeff,
Would you still Miles over Jones after today’s start in a deep league. Also, are you holding Susac over the likes of Crooks, Gasper, Quero, and Vazquez. |
| 8:25 |
: They both shit the bed in the last two days. Pick your preferred pile of poo
| 8:25 |
: As for the catchers, I’m just streaming that week’s best projected guy hoping some of the depth at the position comes off the IL
| 8:25 |
: Curtis Mead or Isiah Kiner-Falefa?
| 8:26 |
: Mead and not close
| 8:26 |
: Do you see Jacob Gonzalez having any staying power or simply an IL fill in?
| 8:27 |
: They effectively have the DH open
| 8:27 |
: Who’s the Reds closer this week?
| 8:27 |
: Bubba
| 8:28 |
: I would try depending on your team’s needs.
| 8:28 |
: That’s it for this week. Good luck with the rest of your season.

Jeff – Who’s Bubba as the answer to Reds closer question?
Will Venable said this weekend that the plan is for Jacob Gonzalez to start at 1B against righties, as he did Sunday. So he should gain that extra eligibility relatively soon.
