Intro
The chart includes their performance for 2026, their opponent’s wOBA versus the pitcher’s handedness, and recently added opponent’s K% (also v. SP handedness), my general start/sit recommendation for 10-team, 12-team, and 15-team (or more) leagues – essentially a shallow, medium, deep league setup – and then a note about some, most, or all depending on the day. If a pitcher only has an “x” in 15-team, it doesn’t mean there’s no potential use in 10s and 12s, but it’s a much riskier stream for those spots.
These are general recommendations for standard 5×5 roto leagues, and your league situation will carry more weight whether you are protecting ratios or chasing counting numbers. I usually won’t have much to write about aces who are locked into our rotations. If you want to discuss someone further, please feel free to leave a comment. I usually do a few sweeps of the comments before game time in case there are time-sensitive questions.
Color Coding:
- Green – Good Matchup (lower OPS output by SP opponent) – 21st to 30th
- Yellow – OK – 11th to 20th
- Red – Bad – 1st to 10th
Assuming the Kay recommendation is purely matchup-based, given that he hasn’t made it to the fifth inning in his last four starts while allowing 17 ER in as many IP.
Ya, entirely. CLE is 27 in wOBA for the year annndd the L30 days. So he’ll promptly give up 5 ER, I’m sure 🤣
Wind:
Wrigley – in from L center at 8 at the most wind affected major league park
Rain:
CLE – 20-25% all day
STL – slight chance toward the end
CIN – sligh chance all day
PIT – 35-50% all day
Wrigley – 20% during the game, 31% just after
Coors – 35-40% all day
My takedown of the Giants’ lineup yesterday turned out pretty good. . . .
The number of times that’s happened to me, lol! Process v. results, though. I agree w/you that SFG is very poachable and it led to a stronger Libby reco today
Was debating a stream of Libby – the Giants are worse against LHP than RHP. Got busy with work though and ran out of time before the game started so I guess I’m not streaming him. Clean through the 1st 2 innings so far, but no Ks and 3 baserunners isn’t ideal.
Movable object (LAA last in wOBA) vs stoppable force (Kirby 5.53 ERA on road) – who wins?
i try not to get too hung up on home/road splits (outside of extreme parks like Coors/Sac) but i’ve been super skeptical with Kirby on the road for a while
