- Imanaga is rolling to the point where I’d probably start him against a fully powered Yankees team, but it’s super easy to feel confident in him against the hobbled version of NYY.
- Could this be Greene’s final start as a Red? They’re getting a lot of heat on him and it wouldn’t be crazy to trade him now that Burns has emerged as the heir apparent ace.
- Suarez was limited to just 64 pitches off the IL, but dropped 4 scoreless with 6 Ks, 0 BB; should be able to get through 5 if he’s pitching well v. LAD.
- Leahy has been electric lately so maybe I should’ve given him a 3-x today: 1.70 ERA/0.92 WHIP/19% K-BB over his L7.
- Young has allowed more than 3 ER just 2x this year and both times it was just 4. The skills don’t scream low-3.00s ERA with just an 11% K-BB and a 1.29 WHIP.
- I’m fine if you don’t even want to start Peralta in 15s. He’s just been so bad.
- Peralta/Mize scratched due to trade interest; Yamamoto moved to tomorrow

Recommendations for Roto 5×5 Leagues
Intro
The chart includes their performance for 2026, their opponent’s wOBA versus the pitcher’s handedness, and recently added opponent’s K% (also v. SP handedness), my general start/sit recommendation for 10-team, 12-team, and 15-team (or more) leagues – essentially a shallow, medium, deep league setup – and then a note about some, most, or all depending on the day. If a pitcher only has an “x” in 15-team, it doesn’t mean there’s no potential use in 10s and 12s, but it’s a much riskier stream for those spots.
These are general recommendations for standard 5×5 roto leagues, and your league situation will carry more weight whether you are protecting ratios or chasing counting numbers. I usually won’t have much to write about aces who are locked into our rotations. If you want to discuss someone further, please feel free to leave a comment. I usually do a few sweeps of the comments before game time in case there are time-sensitive questions.

Gonna be messy for Dodgers – Edgardo Henriquez listed as the opener but he pitched 19 pitches last night; Will Klein I think will get bulk of innings as it appears to be a true pen game with Yamamoto and Sheehan pushed back to the weekend starts
Meanwhile, in San Diego, Bradgley Rodriguez is now listed as the opener and I can imagine Matsui, Hart and Morejon getting stints today

Wind:
Wrigley – in from R at 11 in the most wind-affected major league park
Coors – only 6 in from R but always keeping tabs on Coors
Sutter Health – out to L at 6 in a minor league park, hot too – 94*
Rain:
Wrigley – 7% to start, 27% by game’s end, 44% after
Coors – 20-34% all evening
CIN/NYM/CLE – tiny chances of rain
Sounds like Tigers holding Mize out of start today in case they trade him; if he is not traded will go Tuesday in Seattle; today’s a bullpen game…

Really eager to see if we trade Mize & Skubal. Returns would be major to move both. Heard some Luis Pena for Skubal rumors from the Brewers!
Projections have all of the Guardians, White Sox, Tigers and Twins between 79 and 82 wins and the wild card at 81.5 wins. Boy would it would suck to give up on the season now.
OTOH, the Angels didn’t trade Ohtani in 2023 and ended up with the rejected QO compensation pick that has became Ryan Johnson. Skubal obviously isn’t Ohtani but you’d kind of like to get back more than that for him.
Ya it’s sooo tough for Harris & Co. Does a Skubal trade demoralize the team to where even if they get MLB-ready returns, the team just collapses on itself or can it be similar to 24 w/Flaherty where they trade for pieces that help spur a run. Skubal is better than Flaherty so he’s a bigger loss, but he will also return more. Moving Skubal AND Mize makes it hard to see how a run could still happen after that
