Welcome to the Daily SP Chart, click here if you’re new to get an idea of what I’m doing with these rankings.
- Zebby in for Prielipp, dropped to a shaky 1-x reco. as MIL is much better vR.
- Drohan broke his 4 QS streak in a tough 5 ER start v. COL but then immediately started a new streak with 6 IP/2 ER at LAA in his most recent outing.
- Really eager to see if Gausman can shave that .318 with one of the best defenses in baseball behind him now.
- Roki’s on another heater (2.25 ERA/1.00 WHIP/20% K-BB in 24 IP) and gets a great matchup to stay hot. Of course, his last bad outing was a 3 IP/6 ER Dud against SDP, one of the worst offenses in the league, so there are never any guarantees with him.
- Despite getting SDP today, I did drop Blanco down to 1-x just because we really haven’t seen a ton in his 3 starts off the IL.

Intro
The chart includes their performance for 2026, their opponent’s wOBA versus the pitcher’s handedness, and recently added opponent’s K% (also v. SP handedness), my general start/sit recommendation for 10-team, 12-team, and 15-team (or more) leagues – essentially a shallow, medium, deep league setup – and then a note about some, most, or all depending on the day. If a pitcher only has an “x” in 15-team, it doesn’t mean there’s no potential use in 10s and 12s, but it’s a much riskier stream for those spots.
These are general recommendations for standard 5×5 roto leagues, and your league situation will carry more weight whether you are protecting ratios or chasing counting numbers. I usually won’t have much to write about aces who are locked into our rotations. If you want to discuss someone further, please feel free to leave a comment. I usually do a few sweeps of the comments before game time in case there are time-sensitive questions.
Color Coding:
- Green – Good Matchup (lower OPS output by SP opponent) – 21st to 30th
- Yellow – OK – 11th to 20th
- Red – Bad – 1st to 10th
Looks like Zebby today rather than Prielipp.
Any idea who might get the bulk(ish) IPs for KCR today? Prob not worth knowing but What do you think Easton McGee has?
As an add on…i think thye sent Black down?
No wind at 10+ today (& no Wrigley, Coors, Sutter Health)
We have some rain on the East coast:
PIT – 74% to start, drops to 34% just after so maybe a delay
PHI – 37-60% all day
WAS – 67% before the game, 45% to start, 18% by game’s end
NYY – 38-57% all day
CHW – 7% to start, 20% by game’s end, 27% just after
BOS, KCR, STL – all very slight chances
OK, I posted this, went to edit and for whatever reason, it got blocked as spam. So re-posting now
For those tracking prospects, Kade Anderson goes tonight. They have been using him almost exclusively on Fridays (presumably to help goose the gate revenue which is almost certainly a much bigger deal in AA than the majors). He’s only made one start that wasn’t on a Friday when he started on a Saturday back in June (going to guess a rainout was involved).
Since they already have him on a once-a-week schedule, it seems like they are setting him up for a promotion next Friday and go with a 6-man rotation. That way he won’t accrue 45 days on the active roster and will still be eligible for 2027 ROY. They still would need to keep him under 50 IP as well to be eligible for 2027 ROY but you’d be talking 7 starts so that shouldn’t be a problem.
He threw 119 IP at LSU last year and is at 82.1 IP so far this year so the above (one last AA start today then 7 in the majors) would put him in the 125-130 IP range which would be fine and set him up for 160 or so next year.
Long-term, it’ll be interesting to see what Seattle does. Assuming Anderson steps in and doesn’t flop immediately requiring a demotion back to the minors, they could run back the same 6 guys next year. They have Gilbert for 1 more year after this year, Kirby and Miller for 2, Woo for 3, Hancock for 4 and Anderson for 6 and that isn’t even counting Ryan Sloan who is also putting together a very nice year at AA and could be MLB-ready by next year.
Anyway, got carried away there but there you go.
Love this breakdown! He is so damn exciting!!
Anderson’s (presumably) final AA start: 5.1 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 9 K.
He (presumably) finishes AA at 17 GS, 87.2 IP, 1.13 ERA, 0.65 WHIP, 128/12 K/BB
The M’s play the Astros on the road next Friday so we’ll see. . . .
Roki’s last start was 7 Ks in a 5 inning win vs Seattle, not a loss to the SDP.
