Welcome to the Daily SP Chart, click here if you’re new to get an idea of what I’m doing with these rankings.
Comments in the AM… or early PM, but games don’t start until evening so we should be good!
- Skenes is now staring down the barrel of a 4.00+ ERA, but whattya gonna do, bench him? No. Never. Still has 162 Ks, 1.12 WHIP, and 9 Ws.
- How about my guy Sandoval?? I’ve been a longtime fan and longing for his departure from LAA to a more competent org and when he landed in BOS, I was super excited for him to get healthy (they took a shot on him during TJ). The bill will come due on that .386 BABIP if he doesn’t get it under control soon, but I wasn’t going to pass this juicy matchup.
- Pallante has had an impressive summer and really entire year when compared against expectations, but particularly nice of late. Even with a pair of Duds mixed in, he has a 3.14 ERA/1.11 WHIP in 66 IP since June 1st. Now, it comes with an 11% K-BB which does make him scary to trust in any given start as that .274 BABIP during this run & .278 on the season could regress at any moment (.287 league average). Though I say and it’s worth noting that Pallante has a strong 55% GB rate and quality defense behind him.
- Woo has a brutal home/road record, but I’m sticking with him due in large part to NYY second to only Woo’s very own Mariners in wOBA since Aaron Judge’s exit from the lineup on June 1st. He still has a 15% K-BB on the road which is still well below his 20% home mark, but above the 13% league average.
- I miiight be closer to 1.5-x for Young at MIN, but while they are a good offense in the aggregate, he is catching them at a good time given that they are just 22nd vR at home over the last month.
- Bradford’s only in his 2nd start off the IL (4.3 IP the first time) so he could still be on a tighter pitch count but I’ll take the shot at LAA.
- Snell/Lodolo both off the IL in case you want to see one before getting ’em back into the mix.

Intro
The chart includes their performance for 2026, their opponent’s wOBA versus the pitcher’s handedness, and recently added opponent’s K% (also v. SP handedness), my general start/sit recommendation for 10-team, 12-team, and 15-team (or more) leagues – essentially a shallow, medium, deep league setup – and then a note about some, most, or all depending on the day. If a pitcher only has an “x” in 15-team, it doesn’t mean there’s no potential use in 10s and 12s, but it’s a much riskier stream for those spots.
These are general recommendations for standard 5×5 roto leagues, and your league situation will carry more weight whether you are protecting ratios or chasing counting numbers. I usually won’t have much to write about aces who are locked into our rotations. If you want to discuss someone further, please feel free to leave a comment. I usually do a few sweeps of the comments before game time in case there are time-sensitive questions.
Color Coding:
- Green – Good Matchup (lower OPS output by SP opponent) – 21st to 30th
- Yellow – OK – 11th to 20th
- Red – Bad – 1st to 10th
Wind:
Sacramento – out to L at 8.
Rain:
DET – 45% to start, 12% by the end
WAS – 15-35% all day
NYY – 20-28% all day
ATL – 22% to start but 6% by mid-game (feels like it’s just a 20% chance every day in ATL)
Small chances everywhere else outside California
Feels like there’s a rain delay everytime the Mets play in Atlanta.
You’re really starting Woo on the road against the Yanks in all leagues? How much more of the extreme splits does he have to show before you and Nick bow to reality and sit him when he’s not at home?
The luck factors – .352 road BABIP and 55.2% road LOB% – are doing most of the damage. His road FIP and xFIP are not too dissimilar to the last couple years. He is giving up a bit louder contact on the road this year than prior years so his xERA is up a bit more than FIP/xFIP, but even there he has a 4.42 xERA against a 6.71 actual ERA.
Paul – BTW, love the new splits pages on the player pages. Wayyyyy more useful now with a bunch more detail.
Yanks bats have been awful for a while now.
That’s why I’m still good w/Woo on the road. They’re so hobbled and have been dead last in wOBA since Judge’s departure but yes he does have crazy home-road splits rn
I’m generally with you on that, but the Yanks just haven’t been tough at all. They might still clip him in the Bronx, but I can’t envision a sit unless I had really nice pitching top to bottom
I find it wild that Cease has overtaken Skenes this year. Not shocked, but it’s definitely why I love baseball.
