Jake: I’ve held onto Quintana because of the years of good performance. Projections seem to think he will do well rest of season. My biggest concern is the 2 pitch pitcher he seems to have become and the walk rate not falling. I have him in a 12 team and a 14 team league. Both teams rank fifth. Should I hold in both, drop in one?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d hold in both. Who’s better on the wire?

Keep: Which of the following 3 would you keep: Snell, Knebell, Jack Flarety, and Jesus Aguilar?

Jeff Zimmerman: Whoa, shallow league. Flarety or Aguila depending if you need pitching or hitting

Seth: Do you think any all stars get moved before the game? Is that something teams actively delay a trade for?

Jeff Zimmerman: They could trade early if a deal is in place. Now, I could see Balt. wait on Machado to have him as their All-Star

Marco: Is Gurriel 10 team relevant?

Jeff Zimmerman: Which one?

Jon: Drop K. Hendricks and/or Pivetta for Gausman, Weaver, J. Zimmerman, Harvey, and/or Wheeler? (12 team H2H 6×6 w/ K/9)

Jeff Zimmerman: With these decent arms on the waiver wire, I’d turn on pitching slot into a streamer and keep going with the best matchups.

Steve P: Absolutely desperate for a 3b in 12-teamer (OBP) w/Gallo starting to sit regularly vs. lefties. For context, Brian Anderson is highest ranked 3b avail. Any decent dart throws out there? Should I just platoon?

Jeff Zimmerman: Miller of the Brewers may be worth a shot. Anderson is a decent option

Big Tuna: Is Jordan Zimmerman’s recent performance for real? In what leagues are you adding?

Jeff Zimmerman: 12 or larger leagues but to the bench. I don’t believe the recent results.

Big Tuna: As waiver adds, how would you rank: Suarez, Kingham, Eovaldi, Weaver?

Jeff Zimmerman: Eovaldi, Kingham, Weaver, Suarez

Steve P: Cervelli or John Hicks ROS (OBP league)?

Jeff Zimmerman: Cerveilli but Hicks should be owned in every format. Try for a trade

Michelle: Out of it in an NL only keeper. Looking for mid-tier minor leaguers that could make an impact next year and would be good to stash. Assume the top 50 or so in AA or AAA are retained.

Jeff Zimmerman: There is no way to know beyond the obvious choices. Too many variables. I’d just comb the top 100 lists

Brad Penny: How much are we spending on Kyle Tucker?

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s probably going to take $100 of $1000 FAAB. Not much FAAB is left but owners will need to pony up for him.

Lost Season: Speaking of trading Tucker, if I’ve got him for $1 in dynasty, what tier of SP do you think I ought to target for him?

Jeff Zimmerman: jump now and aim for a guy in the 5 to 20 range

Sanity: For all the love Willans Astudillo is getting, he doesn’t really have a path to playing time, right? Should he be a FAAB priority in deep 2-catcher leagues?

Jeff Zimmerman: $1 at best

Vegan Man!: Have a great offense and SP in a 12 team h2h with Doolittle, Soria, and Rondon as my closers. I’m worried both Soria and Rondon aren’t long for the roles. Would you look to punt saves, trade the closers while they have value, and maximize offense / SP for the playoffs in this situation? Thanks!

Jeff Zimmerman: I don’t think you can punt Saves as you’ve already invested in them. Jobs will open up as trades go down. Be ready to pounce and aim for three closers.

Garret Hampson: Think Garret Hampson gets a legit shot in Colorado? This year if DJ is traded. Next year to begin the year before Rodgers is ready.

Jeff Zimmerman: Robles is faster. More in the Trey Turner mold. I saw him in the Fall League and his tools just stand out

Need a Break: Currently in 1st place 10 team H2H Keeper.  Got Kyle Tucker (bench) and Juan Soto. Vlad Jr is on the wire. Do you drop Inciarte to stash Vlad or is it too many lottery tickets?

Jeff Zimmerman: Grab Vlad, he could be special. Possibly try for a trade as team may want Vlad or Tucker

CubFan: For context on your $50 Tucker in a 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H keeper league using $100 FAAB, when Trout first came up I got him for $32. We also have a $310 in-season salary cap. Do you think it’ll take more than $25 to land him. BTW, Palka has been owned since he was called up.

Jeff Zimmerman: I think it will take more but you can play the low side. Also, why have $100 in FAAB with only a $50 increase? Why not just have $50 in FAAB?
