Hi Paul and Eno/Jason. Since you’ve said we can ask questions here, here’s mine: 12-team roto 5×5 but with OBP instead of AVG, and I have 8 outfielders but can only start 5 in the OF+UTIL slots. Would you get rid of one, or try hard to sell someone here? What if you had to drop one for pitching, who would it be?
Jose Bautista, Justin Upton, Lorenzo Cain, Yasiel Puig, Michael Brantley, Manuel Margot, Keon Broxton, Carlos Gomez
I would try to trade Margot or Puig, and drop Broxton if there’s something interesting on the wire.
Brantley. He doesn’t have his strength back and probably won’t all year…check his Exit Velocity/barreled balls
Not enough BBE. His profile isn’t great so far (too many weak grounders), but he’s hitting the ball plenty hard on liners and fly balls (over 95MPH). No reason to think his strength is gone.
Brandon Finnegan! I am in an 11 team roto with OBP instead of average. When Rich Hill comes off the DL (and I lose a roster spot until his next blister), am I holding on to Finnegan and dropping Solarte, Owings (or Schimf . . . ? Not Schimf, right?)? Assume team is fairly balanced on both sides so value, not pitching versus offense, is the issue.
After today I might drop him and steam guys
11 team mixed roto (7×7, w/ OBP) Would you trade Cobb/Pedroia for DJ LeMaheui? Or is the difference between Pedi & DJ too small?
What about Tony Barnette? It has been inferred that had Texas not tacked on additional runs in the top of the 9th, Barnette would have been called on to close out the game Wednesday. It sounds like we will learn about Bush later today, if DL bound, who you got between Jeffress, Leclerc, and Barnette?
Any thoughts on Thames? Preseason projections were very optimistic. I was skeptical, but still took a shot late in a lot of leagues. He sits against tough lefties, but other than that he’s put up good numbers so far.
Small sample or are you starting to buy the preseason projections?
Also, segment idea for your version of buy/sell can be: “I think so Tim/I don’t think so Tim”
With JGray out for at least a month, here are my waiver wire options (12 team mixed; H2H Categories; 6×6; my very Sleeper and the Busty staff is deGrom, Archer, Duffy, McCullers, Paxton, Gray): Snell, Estrada, Davies, Folty. Who you takin?
Is there any need for me to keep Garrett Richards in a 13 team roto 5×5? We have 2 DL slots occupied by beltre and Holland he is hogging a roster slot

I drafted Gausman and Shoemaker and they are off to bad starts. I am thinking about dropping one of them to pick up someone on the waiver wire. McCarthy, Shields, or Sabathia are available. So are Triggs and Senzatela. Would you pick up a veteran off to a good start but know what their weaknesses are are or would you pick up a newbie who is off to a good start. I just heard you say neither of you are impressed with Triggs and Senzatela. Or should I just stick with Gausman and Shoemaker?
