I think Yamamoto is a special case with Japanese pitchers. This is the guy who has this incredible stretching routine with great flexibility. His shoulder injury was caught early by the Dodgers, described as minor, and at this point is just the team being overly cautious about their multimillion dollar investment on his first year.
If Yammy is falling because of this perceived injury seriousness, I’d be into that.
I think that’s a very reasonable take. I’d be open to exploring a discount Yamamoto for sure. A hot playoff would get a lot of folks back in, I bet, so his best price might be between now and end of regular season but how many drafts are actually going to happen lol?!
