Jeff Zimmerman: Since it’s early in the season, I’ll ignore the COL vs WAS games and go with Grossman, Wiemer, Bae, Daza.

Jeff Zimmerman: Daza has a nice projection for the week.

Kelly: Drop Turnbull for Megill or Grove?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, but I’m not going to like it.

Greg: So…is Kyle Stowers rosterable in a 15 teamer right now? Surely they won’t keep giving Vavra and McKenna ABs over him

Jeff Zimmerman: He might get there but isn’t right now. He could be a stash of a team has extra bench space.

Steve: How close to the ‘streamer’ line is Edward Cabrera in 12-teams? Trevor Rogers? Clarke Schmidt?

Jeff Zimmerman: They each may end up there. It comes down to the available options.

KCbbq: What % of FAAB should I be looking at to spend on Volpe and Colas? 12 team AL only 5×5 OBP. We start with 100 FAAB. Replacing Story and Baddo.

Jeff Zimmerman: 40% for each, probably more for Volpe. I could see someone go 80%

Carlos: Thanks for advice – 12-tm ESPN H2H pts. league – HS Kim on the wire. Drop E. Tovar for him? Also, for this week in 12-tm cats league, add Grossman or Andrus?

Jeff Zimmerman: In this format, you need to spend the $25 or so dollars and get the Razzball weekly projections. For $1 per week, it will pay for itself in time saved.  In ESPN, you can probably grind two to three spots each week looking for the best matchup

RP Heavy: In a 5×5 S+H league, do you agree with starting 4-5 RPs the first couple weeks while SPs build up their innings? Esp. those marginal starters…yuck. RPs seem to be more reliable this early and you can build up a ratio and S+H lead.

Jeff Zimmerman: Complete opposite for me. Maybe 2 at most. SP’s are so hard to find I’d be taking as many darts at them as possible and once everyone has stabilized, go and worry about RP’s.

Jeff Zimmerman: Also, scoring is always down in the spring (cooler) so scoring will only so up as the season goes on.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not, I didn’t like the lack of playing time

KCbbq: Looking at stashing either Royce Lewis or Drew Waters. How much of 100 FAAB would you throw at them in 12 team AL only H2H keeper?

Jeff Zimmerman: As little as possible

Hill: Would you drop Haase for O’Hoppe. How much FAAB?

Jeff Zimmerman: No

MC Slim Ps: I have almost equal bids on these guys in 12 team 5×5 – would you boost any to the front of the queue?  Ashcraft, D. German, Falter, Matz, Quantrill, Boyd (that’s my approx. order).  And would you rather stream Kutter C. vs PIT & DET?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d focus on Ashcraft and Matz. Then Kutter for the stream. The rest seem streamable when they have a Kutter like two-step

Stech: SP seems thinner this year than most. Who is someone not on many peoples radar who after a couple starts will be a must add?

Jeff Zimmerman: There isn’t. I’m interested to see if someone follows Strahm for the W

Jeff Zimmerman: I think managers saw how tough it was to stream from the wire last year so they sucked up all the starters.

Greeto: Would you drop Mahle for Brito? Or pick up Civale or Megill over Brito? Any major takeaways from that Brito start? (Shallow league I know)

Chili Beans: In a deep league, my draft went well except for 1B and backup MI (for Polanco while he’s hurt).  Plenty of MI options, but only Harold Castro at 1B.  Currently I have the choice between Aguilar and Wilmer Flores at 1B.  Is Castro any better than those two?
