KCbbq: In 12-team AL only what order would you put Vavra, Thompson, Massey, Siri, Isbel, Eaton? And are any of them better than my Josh Smith and Bolt?

Jeff Zimmerman: Might not be yours, but he’s one of the top-10 to 12 catchers in the league right now

Jake: So my team really sucks, bad enough that I’m starting to think I might want a catcher for my utility spot even though they only play like half the time. Is it worth it to put Carson Kelly or Jose Trevino at utility over a Candelario or Victor Robles type player?

Jeff Zimmerman: No, that is a horrible idea

The 6ix: 5×5 Ultra Roto, IP not Ks, 12 team AL-only, $100 FAAB. How much would you bid on Jose Quijada of LAA? Top 5 get paid, places 4-8 are super tight, I am in that group and 6 saves behind snagging a point in that category.

Jeff Zimmerman: $0, I doubt Quijada will be able to make up a 6 Save difference

Ryan: what’s more realistic in a basic 5×5 roto? making up a 10hr deficit or a 5 point .avg deficit?

Jeff Zimmerman: Not sure, might be average at this point. The key is to check the approach the people ahead of you are doing

Jake: Re: Josiah: he plays the cubs like twice in a row now, and Brubaker and Keller get the DBacks. Would that impact the decision?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think Gray is the worst pitcher, that is all I was given in the question. Now, do you want what to do over the next week or so?

Jeff Zimmerman: No, but I could be wrong

Jake: So a guy in my league started streaming hitters based on platoon splits and matchups, and the whole league got rly mad bc we’re all busy ppl and we don’t have an hour a day to look at all that stuff… so he’s killing us with by switching out Vogelbach and Naquin with Ruf and Tyrone Taylor… even though his team is horrible. Do we have a right to be upset? What rule changes can we make to close this loophole but still reward smart claims?

Jeff Zimmerman: You’ll are being whiny punks. He’s playing by the rules and they can’t be changed mid-season. Just go to weekly lineups to stop that from happening

I had thought of keeping for next year (SP has been getting bid up last 3 seasons since we switched to W+QS and SP getting pulled after 5 innings). I also thought of just dropping him and trying to pick him back up for less since he’s out for another 3-5 weeks.

Jeff Zimmerman: It comes down to the league. In some, both will start as I need W and K. In others, they might head to the bench
