Chris: A boston beat reporter recently mentioned Dalbec has fallen into the short side of a platoon with Cordero at 1B. Sat vs 2 of 3 righties over the weekend. You mentioned he was buried at the bottom of the order, but didn’t note any platoon issue. You think he’s now a platoon bat and droppable in 15 teamers?

Jeff Zimmerman: It doesn’t look like a platoon but they are sharing time.

dave in slc: I have an al only keeper staff with no closers and only duran as a possible down the road. Kikuchi, Duffey and Dunning are my weakest links. available are Holmes and Thompson who could potentially get saves or starters who could possibly be good in Paddack, Otto and Bradish, what would you do? Duffey i need to swap for one for sure obviously

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go after all three of the starters. They are better than the three you have. I think you need to trade for Saves. Someone has to have a multiple closers

Jeff: NL only- thoughts on L. Gonzalez sticking in the majors with Wade coming back this week and assuming Yaz and Peterson not out long?  Maybe strong side of platoon as back-up vs. Slater?

Jeff Zimmerman: Zero to none, I ignored him in all my bids

Siri: How much playing time do you think MJ Melendez gets? How confident are you in his skills? Looks like his  slow start at AAA was mostly BABIP related.

Jeff Zimmerman: I tried to ask about the situation and no one knows for sure. If Gallager didn’t get hurt, MJ would still be in the minors. I think he’ll have to hit to stay in the majors.

Richard: Would you drop Barnes (picked up for $22 last weekend) and bid for Bender? How much would you throw at him, if so?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m guessing Bender will get 1% to 5% bids

Choo Choo: Jesus Sanchez seems to have fallen into a straight platoon.  Kepler a better choice ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes on the platoon and for now Kepler is the right choice.

Pache-on Project: Kyle Isbel didn’t make your WW piece but might play some. Him or Pache, AL OBP?

Jeff Zimmerman: Pache by a mile. The Royals don’t plan on making Isbel a full-timer. And if he on the strong side, Isbel will only play four games next week.

Aaron: 12-team NFBC OC, Jhoan Duran vs Andres Munoz vs Ryan Helsley if we’re speculating on a second SV guy?

Think Josh Winder gets more than just that spot start after his performance today, even if Sonny Gray comes back this week? Can he bump Bundy or Archer?

Jeff Zimmerman: Munoz, but those aren’t the best options. I might go Kennedy for one week and look again.

Choo Choo: Are we done with Gleyber yet?  Adames is on the wire.  Drop Gleyber for him?

InTheCards?: Should Gallegos owners have any concern about a Helsley save today?  Gallegos was well restes.

Guest: I have some open spots for prospects stashes in redraft league… among the options available are Royce Lewis, Gonzales on pitt, Busch on the dodgers. Most of the top options are rostered, but open to suggestions and how you’d rank the above.

Jeff Zimmerman: Ask someone else on prospect, I’d just make stuff when answering question on them.

More Drops: Need to drop two out of Kikuchi, Smyly and Brubaker.  Which one do you hold onto?

Chucky: Is there any possible scenario where you could convince yourself to start two start Zimmermann v KC and Minny as opposed to single starters Megill v Atl or Bieber v Toronto?

Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe with the Bieber start.

Joe: Someone inexplicably dropped Andrew Heaney in my NL only. The way the league works, I can use 1 of 3 “waiver claims” we get per season to pick him up (no FAAB). I’m not sold on him but it’ll probably be a while before there is another player worth considering on the wire. What do you think?

Seany: Hi Jeff, this past week I essentially swapped the Joes (Ryan and Connor) for Mullins and Lauer. Think that was a wise move or will I end up regretting that down the line?

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s a fine move, it’s tough to tell

Frank: NFBC bidding question. If I have a list of say 5 players as contingent bid with prices all at $10, but my last guy on my list is $30, would it still process in the order I have them and the amounts listed?

Jeff Zimmerman: Once you hit save, the $30 bid will go to the top and be the first bid. In the NFBC, all the bids will be in amount order. It’s one of the few flaws on the site

AO: Do you prefer the boringness of Cesar Hernandez or the upside of Neuse?

Jeff Zimmerman: Hernandez has games in COL this week so I’d go with him unless you need speed and then grab Neuse.

Random: Why isn’t Yandy Diaz getting more love? I get that he hasn’t barreled the ball much, but his walk (19.4%) and K (8.3%) rates are pretty spectactular. In either an OBP league or one that punishes Ks he’s top 50 right?

Jeff Zimmerman: Agree, I have him in a ton of places as a bench bat

Booth: R/SB problems!! I have Rendon and Justin Turner… is it ok to drop Turner for Myles Straw and get some R/SB help?

Patience: How long do recommend sticking with highish projected hitters who are underperforming. Week 5 at around quarter mark a good time to move on if they haven’t recovered? (Merrifield, Winker, Cruz, Muncy, etc.)
