Sunday Night Waiver Wire & FAAB Chat

7:30
Jeff Zimmerman: Welcome everyone to the season’s possible final chat.

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: I may do one during the Sunday games next weekend, but the main side will host one if any of the races aren’t decided

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman: Here are all the FAAB bids this week from Tout Wars

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman:

7:32
Guest: Any idea if satellite entry winners of TGFBI get to return the following season if they win their individual league in the real thing? Asking for a friend

7:33
Jeff Zimmerman: I think so, but you might need to ask Justin Mason

7:33
Maestro: Am I right to be nervous about SPs on playoff bound teams not going more than 5 innings this week as they prepare for playoffs?

7:33
Jeff Zimmerman: I think they’ll be on an 80 pitch, 5 IP limit

7:33
Jeff Zimmerman: The deal is that all pitchers are this way.

7:34
brad: any news on votto or rodon?

7:35
Jeff Zimmerman: None and I’d like info on both. Sucks

7:35
Rand: 5 x 5 roto, who do you prefer among Josh Harrison, Farmer or K. Hayes for a CI spot?

7:35
Jeff Zimmerman: Harrison for me, leading off and not sitting with Lowire and Andrus hurt

7:35
Craig: Rest of the season (1-2 starts): JA Happ or Jake Woodford? Need WHIP & IP. Thanks.

7:36
Jeff Zimmerman: Just those 2, Happ. He doesn’t provide help in ERA and K’s, but those don’t matter to you

7:36
Joe: One behind in steals going into last week. Who are the best steal streamers in last week regardless of position? Zimmer  Yonny Hernandez Gimenez? Anyone else ?

7:38
Jeff Zimmerman: I’m digging also. Isbel of KC is one. Razzball has Taveras and Anthony Alford as decent options.

7:39
Jeff Zimmerman: Amed Rosario available?

7:39
Jeff Zimmerman: Of the ones you listed, Yonny

7:39
Game 163: Anyone worth stashing for a potential game 163?

7:40
Jeff Zimmerman: If you have the space, go with relievers.

7:40
Jeff Zimmerman: One option is load up on Cards and Cubs for their makeup game

7:41
frank: urquidy is scheduled for 2 starts will the final being last of the season. think he makes that start or do i go with cobb

7:41
Jeff Zimmerman: I think he does. They won’t throw until Friday, so he’ll have plenty of rest

7:42
Playing for keeps: In a keeper league, I’m looking to stash an RP who might get a shot at a closer role next spring. Do you like any of Bender, Neris, Rainey? Other candidates?

7:42
Jeff Zimmerman: Rainey and Bender out of that group.

7:43
Jeff Zimmerman: Just look for FA closers

7:43
frank: Cobb, Baz, Ryan, Senzatela, Singer. Who are your top 2

7:43
Jeff Zimmerman: For this week: Singer and Cobb

7:43
Jeff Zimmerman: For next season: Ryan and Baz

7:44
brad: is greinke back this week?

7:45
Jeff Zimmerman: I think so, but I bet he goes a short distance into the start

7:45
Jeff Zimmerman: Same with Odorizzi

7:45
Seanold: No question from me this week, thanks for all the help throughout the season. Enjoy the offseason!

7:45
Jeff Zimmerman: Thanks for showing up.

7:46
Jeff Zimmerman: We are 15 minutes into the chat and there are no more questions. If that’s it, I’ll shut it down

7:47
Jeff Zimmerman: BTW, if you haven’t yet, read this article on Phill Dussault by Travis Sawchik

7:48
Jeff Zimmerman: Phil is having one of the best fantasy seasons ever.

7:48
Rand: Which two for this week do you like among Otto vs LAA, Hendricks at Pitt, Morgan at Texas, Wood vs. Arizona?

7:49
Jeff Zimmerman: I debated these already today. Wood, Otto, Hendricks, Morgan.

7:49
Joe: Would love to get a hold of his “system”

7:50
Jeff Zimmerman: The key with the system is then believing and following it. Most people will add their own 2 cents and break it

7:50
Joe: Ober Singer or Gilbert this week?

7:50
Jeff Zimmerman: Singer, Ober, Gilbert

7:50
Rand: Thanks for all your thoughts this season

7:50

7:50
Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, yes he is

7:53
Jeff Zimmerman: Rodgers (week’s 1H) and Meadows (2H) for one player

7:53
Jeff Zimmerman: Escobar for the other one

7:54
frank: whip, wins, Ks…Rodon, S Gray, Singer, Cobb, Urquidy, Ynoa.Top 2 for the week.. Thanks for all the work this year helped me have another big year

7:55

7:57
Tommy: And a huge thank you for all the work this year!!

7:57
Jeff Zimmerman: Thanks

7:58
Jimmy: Need wins and not to tank era and whip. Pick 1: Stroman, Cobb, Baz, Singer, DeScalfani or Ynoa?

7:59
Jeff Zimmerman: There is no one perfect for this combo. I’d go with Singer and Stroman with the decent 2-start weeks

8:00
Julio: Stephenson top 10 catcher next year?

8:01
Jeff Zimmerman: Possibly. Barnhart is loved by the pitchers, so he might start half the time

8:01

8:01
Jeff Zimmerman: Stroman, Wood, Walker

Jeff Zimmerman: Solak, Urshela ……. Gosselin

8:04
Jeff Zimmerman: Well, the queue has dried up again, so I’ll close down the chat.

Thanks for the article on Phil Dussault. I’m intrigued at how he landed on Robbie Ray and Kevin Gausman. I landed on those two in an AL only (where I’m in first place) and an NL only (where I’m in second place) purely by trying to price enforce in both cases. The league undervalued the two so severely that I wasn’t even trying to get them, I was just trying to elevate their prices a little bit.
