Jeff Zimmerman: It’s not good when he’s barely toughing 90 mph but was averaging ~91 mph before getting hurt

Catcher: Would you rather have D’Arnaud over E. Diaz ROS in OBP roto? Projections are close.  Out of 12 series left, Rockies have 5 at home (1 vs Dodgers), and are away the next 3 in a row. Thanks

Jeff Zimmerman: d’Arnaud and might look to stream Diaz when possible

Mike: Roll with Belli or switch to Joe, Miggy or Schwindel? Points league.

Jeff Zimmerman: Go with Belli for this week.

Jeff Zimmerman: Joe is a decent option when he has any home games

Mike: With Bergman coming back this week, what’s the consensus on Diaz?

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s tough to know especially with Tucker expected later in the week.

Jeff Zimmerman: I don’t mind holding Diaz but he spent weeks on the bench and he’s likely headed back to it

Pops: Add Jake Meyers and drop Bader?  Harrison has done little in the last month.

Jeff Zimmerman: Meyers might only be a 3-4 day rental. I’d keep Bader or look for a more permanent solution.

Alex: Would you drop Fulmer for either Bednar, Patton, Sulser, Clippard or Floro? Chasing saves and Fulmer hasn’t gotten save ops since coming off the DL.

Vader: Hi Jeff! Thx as always for the chat! I need some pitching help in H2H and Suarez has two starts this week and qualifies of course as a reliever. His walks scare me, so would I be better off in the long run grabbing Lorenzen or Gutierrez (don’t necessarily need a reliever)?

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s such a tough call with him. Since being a starter, he has just one more strikeout than walk

Jeff Zimmerman: That matchups are great, but it could really blowup

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m hoping to be able to roster and bench

Pete: Who gets bounced from CHW rotation when Rodon comes back? Assume Lopez?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think it’s Lopez but the team could go with a 6-man to keep everyone fresh.

KCBbq: Am hanging on to last playoff spot by my fingernails. 12 team AL only 5×5 keeper using W/QS and S/H. Due to injuries down to 4 SPs, swingman (Fleming) and 2 RPs. Only $2 of 100 FAAB left. Playing top team this week who has 5 starts, I have 4 starts currently. Would you bid $1 on SPs Flexen or Eli Morgan (2 starts but one is against Bos)…..or go RP route of Tepera and Brentz to limit ratio damage from Heaney?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go for the multiple starts. Play to win

Jeff: Cal Quantrill keeps on producing on an upward trajectory. Can he keep this up the rest of the year? Is he starting to make moves up the board for next year?

Jeff Zimmerman: I have been. At best he might throw a half dozen MLB innings IMO

Mike: what are you expectations for Mateo (BLT) the ROS?  will be get some SBs?

Jeff Zimmerman: Nothing different than his projections

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s at least getting playing time.

Shanell: Piggybacking off greg, what do you think of deGrom long term. Will he always have arm troubles or is he safe for 2022?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s far from safe. 2021 injury. Over 30. Had TJS in the past. Throws hard as hell.

Jeff Zimmerman: He was an injury risk coming into 2021 but his upside is insane

Tim: Is Polanco just finally healthy, and we should expect this as the new baseline?

Jeff Zimmerman: Healthy. I have several mining the news links on this. Just go to his FG page

Jeff Zimmerman: I think he’s good, I just don’t know when/if he’ll start

Mike: Any reason to hold on to Bieber? Points league. I stream pitchers each week trying to make a run at the playoffs. Trying to decide if he’s worth dropping.

Jeff Zimmerman: I dropped him about a month ago. He might be getting to the point of adding. One option might be to add Civale who is already on a rehab assignment

Guest: Esobar likely IL need a 3B, NL only. Best options on wire are I. Diaz (will Anderson play?), Bote and Duffy.

Jeff Zimmerman: Horrible options. Diaz. You could gamble on SF’s Flores with Longoria on the IL for a few days

Al Gone Quinn: All these injuries are causing me to lean toward dropping Tony Disco. Am I mad?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sure you need to be mad, but if he’s not going to contribute this season, move on.

Jeff Zimmerman: Right now, Gray but I’d try to find a way to roster both

DH: Does Yelich’s big Saturday give any confidence that he could turn it around ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s just one game. how about 2 weeks of improved production.

Fred: How have we arrived in a spot where Wade Miley is a set it and forget it?

Jeff Zimmerman: He has been for about 3 months.

Alex: Does Gil have a rotation spot ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: What a mess with the off day. It looks like a couple guys could get skipped (or piggyback) to keep Cole on schedule

AL Only: AL Only – Haasa & Grandal both on my IL and both projected to be back for the weekend series. Prefer 2 games of one of them or pick up Yohel Pozo for the week?

Jeff Zimmerman: Pozo for the week. 7 games and he continues to DH every day

Johnny5Alive: A couple weeks ago you thought that polanco was maybe coming out of it and getting healthy. Surprised that the pirates dumped him? Change of scenery candidate? Or is he cooked?

Jeff Zimmerman: I thought he was better but it seems the Pirates are ready to move on. I expect someone like SF or TB to add him to see if they can fix him.

Guest: Is Willi Castro worth picking up for the stretch run, hoping he heats up with some SBs and maybe a few HRs?

Jeff Zimmerman: No, not really, There are better SB options.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m biased against him. He played locally in Juco and was a mess as a hitter. I never got the hype, but he turned into a good pitcher.

Jeff Zimmerman: I doubt it. Each team only gets two adds and at least one will be a bullpen arm, maybe both.

Jeff Zimmerman: Add him for $1. And someone will likely trade for him

Jeff Zimmerman: Two major disappointments, especially with Yaz in a platoon

Jeff Zimmerman: I was high on him with the new park, but he’s now in a platoon. He’s fine where there are no better options.

Jeff Zimmerman: Not at all. I expect him to fill in when the team needs 2+ IP

Jim: In an AL Points League, I’m replacing Patrick Sandoval. Could you rank Brad Keller, Eli Morgan, and Tyler Alexander?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s going to play every day and that more than a lot of guys will get

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably

Jeff Zimmerman: Just some weeks it might be worth streaming

Bart: Sanchez (MIA) seems to be getting more comfortable at plate.  Do you see decent power rest of season?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s looking good. If the price is right, I could see myself adding him as a 5th OF in drafts next season

Marnell: Will Wick be called on in the 9th for saves anytime soon?

Jeff Zimmerman: That would require the offense to score enough to have the lead

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d gamble on Saves elsewhere

King Donko of Punchstania: Frankie Montas looked good today even as he got a bit squeezed later in the game. Do you feel he’ll develop into a reliable SP2/3?

Jeff Zimmerman: No, not really. It’s going to take more than one start for him to be relied on

Chris: Hi. I have a similar question with Escobar possibly headed to IL. Playoff matchup next week. My options are Toro, Candalerio, Gosselin, Arraez,Dalbec or Dozier?  Thanks for your input.

Broken Bat: Why wouldn’t Rangers promote Taveras now? I mean isn’t now the time to get another and maybe final look?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think they want to get him at bats every day and he can do that in the minors

ryan: what’s your greatest roto comeback story? did you maximize IP to get the win?

Jeff Zimmerman: The only one that comes to mind was an NFBC 2nd chance league that the team only led on the 3rd to last and last day. We need a ton of Wins and K’s and threw the kitchen sink including pitcher against each other in Colorado

Jeff Zimmerman: He needs to be added now to see if he can pull it together

Broken Bat: No argument on Taveras comment, but they could if they wanted give him the At bats in mlb as well. Why not?

dave in slc: al only keeper would you drop kopech for lynch? need innings and ks and thought kopech might crack the rotation at some point but seeming less likely now. also dont want to destroy my ratios though. which is the better option?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go with Lynch as a keeper and maybe just not start him

Drew: In a 16-team keeper that counts NSVH, who do you like: Ashby or Merryweather?

Jeff Zimmerman: Really, they are the best keeper options? Ashby, but I’d immediately be looking for an upgrade

frank: With Tucker coming back this week, is Meyers still a viable start?

Jeff Zimmerman: Not really for the whole week

Kevin: How sure is it that Bregman comes back this week  I read conflicting reports?

Jeff Zimmerman: Pretty sure. I go with MLBTR

King of the Hill: Need speed and obp. Dump Derek Hill for Zimmer, Wade or Meyers? (Hill leading off since dl, but might not against righties)
