RealHumanBeing: Corey Seager was dropped in my 15 team NFBC. How much of my $640 FAAB should I spend?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think it’ll take around $300, now I’m 100% sure if that is the best use of your resources.

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s a tough call. If it was me, I’d go with a $150 keep’em honest bid

CD: Do I waive either of Austin Nola or Christian Vazquez for Wilson Ramos?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think it comes down to needs

Jeff Zimmerman: Vazquez can provide some speed

Jeff Zimmerman: Ramos volume

Jeff Zimmerman: Nola AVG

Jeff Zimmerman: They are each decent, but provide a different skill set

Feddy: Have to drop either Hoerner or Hays, OBP league, which one gets the boot? if it helps, i think hays has 7 games this week and hoerner has 6

Jeff Zimmerman: Hays is the drop, he’s shown no upside, very blah

Feddy: apparently cavan has been playing through a neck injury all year. when he returns from IL are we gonna see a different cavan?

Jeff Zimmerman: That would be great, but we’ll see.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’ve not been impressed with how the Jays have been handling injuries.

Feddy: Since William Contreras and Mike Zunino are still on my waiver wire, would it make sense to try to trade christian vazquez for a quality hitter, and then drop some other vegetable for contreras/zunino?

Jeff Zimmerman: If you can, sure.

Samantha: If you had to guess, what are your estimated call up time-frame for Alek Manoah and Vidal Brujan? Sooner or later?

Jeff Zimmerman: After June 10th:

Santana: Does Santana play when Arroyo comes back? Him or Taylor Walls?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think Santana has several options to keep playing with several bats not hitting (Franchy and Marwin).

Jeff Zimmerman: If someone needs a shot to get their team going, Santana is it if he returns to the 20/20 production of 2019

Writing on the Walls: Been enjoying Harold Castro, but he’s not playing every day. Drop for Taylor Walls? OBP league.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sure Walls is actually a good hitter, just average.

Jeff Zimmerman: That said, add Walls. Castro’s skill set is replacement and I could be wrong about Walls

TLR’s next DUI excuse: Eno has an eye for Wil Crowe based on his “stuff”. Are you seeing anything special worth adding to a deep league, pitching starved roster?

Jeff Zimmerman: I have my own “stuff” metric and his around the top 1/4 to 1/3 of starters

Jeff Zimmerman: The issue with him is the walks (5.6 BB/9 in the majors).

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s missing some tools

Guest: youd take santana over mazara right? where would you have mazara in your waiver list? seem like you are not a fan

Jeff Zimmerman: Santana way over Mazara. Mazara has never been a good player. Why would he start now

Catcher: William Contreras, Haase, or Meija? There seems to be lots of catchers this year that can hit ok!!!

Jeff Zimmerman: This going to be a controversial take, but it’s Haase especially if he keeps hitting and playing in the outfield

Jeff Zimmerman: Haase is a must add in all 2 catcher formats

Jeff Zimmerman: Just watch those K’s

Me: Pham or Bader ROS

Jeff Zimmerman: Bader if he keeps the K% down

Guest: where would larnach rank on your pick up list? have him currently in al only but wondering if santana or walls or any of these guys would be better?

Jeff Zimmerman: Larnach hasn’t been the best and not playing all the time.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d add Santana and Walls

Guest: adames or tauchman ros for you?

Jeff Zimmerman: Tauchman and it’s not close

CJ Kaltenbach: Chavis also a candidate to get demoted to free up some time

Jeff Zimmerman: True in Boston

Pitching: Bubic, Kelly, Gomber, or Perez? Any interesting streamers so I can replace Duffy?

Jeff Zimmerman: Bubic has the combo of potential upside and two-start week.

Jeff Zimmerman: Gomber is a reasonable stream, but don’t bust the bank. He’s back to the wire next week

Adam: I’m in a 14 team head to head points league. With Kirilloff coming off the DL, I need to cut one of the following: Bader, Naylor, Mountcastle or Kiriloff. How would you rank those 4?

Jeff Zimmerman: Bader, Kiriloff, Naylor, Bader.

Jeff Zimmerman: Now, Naylor could move up in the 1B eligibility helps.

Rick: Do you think Adames will be the long-term Brewers Shortstop?  He’s shown flashes he can hit, but at other times seems weak as a hitter.

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s a fine bat who is fine. I didn’t see any change in his value because of the trade.

Guest: Garrett Richards available in 15 team. Could use a starter but is he worth?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, he made some mechanic adjustments and he’s been lights out over his last few starts.

John Olerud’s Helmet: Danny Santana or Chad Pinder? AL only league and I need to replace Hicks

Jeff Zimmerman: Both … Pinder is a sneaky add this week. He’s been playing quite a bit

Steve: Jorge Alfaro appears to be returning this week. 2 Bombs yesterday AAA. You take him over Ramos and Stephenson?

Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe Stephenson. All three should be rostered

Jeff Zimmerman: If there is FAAB involved, go with a min bid. Your current options are fine.

KCCubfan: Are you a Dobnak or Fleming buyer? Both available in my 12 team 5×5 AL only league. If so, are they worth more than a $1 bid? We use $100 FAAB

Jeff Zimmerman: In AL-only, for sure. maybe $2 each but I don’t know your league dynamics.

Chucky: Owen Miller a viable option in a less than middling Cleveland lineup?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m trying to get a read on this move.

Guest: luis castillo dropped in my nl only league. do you have faith in a rebound? I cant imagine he isnt better than some of my other options like davies, martin, keller but his performance so far has been awful

SCOTT TINSTAAPP: how much should we bid for Brendan Rodgers in 15-team NFBC (optimistic about his rest of season viability)

Jeff Zimmerman: I think it’ll around $100, but it could be even more.

Jeff Zimmerman: My issue is that I’d prefer to wait on some of the other prospects about to be called up

Bart: Adell has been heating up. Is he an add in most formats?

Jeff Zimmerman: Watch the strikeout rate. That was his issue in the majors.

Jeff Zimmerman: No idea, but I’ll go with the safe bet of Taylor

Jeff Zimmerman: That bullpen is the black home for FAAB. It just gets sucked away an never useful

Feddy: ok so for some reason enrique and danny santana are both available in my 12 team obp league and i want to snatch them but i’m a little hesitant because i already am starting 3 red sox hitters, and i’m worried that i’ll be putting my fate into the hands of a single team. so basically my question is when does stacking become too dangerous?

Jeff Zimmerman: The only issue I’ve seen is if the team gets hit with a COVID shutdown (or several players out)

Jeff Zimmerman: Just keep adding good players

Kate: How are you feeling about Bader?  Last week was pretty rough.  Still think he’s worthy of a roster spot in 12 teamers, over guys like Profar, Brian Anderson, Dom Smith and Tapia(playing time)?
