Jeff Zimmerman: It’s close in a 12 team, 3 OF league. I drop Garcia

BJ: Is Gurriel Jr. droppable in 11 team roto redraft?

Jeff Zimmerman: Possibly. I just don’t have a clue on the depth of that league

Jeff Zimmerman: Bell

Benny: Tellez worth a pickup in 12 teamers?  Need some kind of spark. Also, would you drop France for Brandon Crawford, Miguel Rojas or Profar?

Jeff Zimmerman: Hold France, Tellez could be OK, but I don’t see him as a difference maker.

JimR: Deep league (18 teams, 40 players each). I need a replacement and M Duffy, Y Hernandez, and Mazara are the best out there.  Should I grab one? or is there someone better that will be promoted soon?

Jeff Zimmerman: Hernandez for now, but all could be out of playing time next week.

Waka Waka: Elieser or Sixto, which would you stash?

Jeff Zimmerman: Sixto but it’s close

vader: How long can Mariners go without calling up Gilbert, and will he be worth stashing?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think he’ll need three good starts before getting called up.

Jeff Zimmerman: I don’t think any minor league pitcher is worth stashing. very few become difference makers.

Waka Waka: Ynoa, how long can he keep it going with only two pitches?

Jeff Zimmerman: Fairbanks has the floor for 8-10 saves while Gallegos could be the closer in a week and get 30 Saves.

Jeff Zimmerman: Castillo

Feddy: Really want to add W Calhoun but his DH only elgibility is really a turn off. Can I add him to drop Belt, Wendle, or Tauchman though?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s been playing in the OF with Davis back. Drop Wendle for him

Feddy: Brad Miller, Pavin Smith, Brian Anderson, and Asdrubal Cabrera are all available in my 12 team OBP. Are any of them worth taking a look at at all?

Kate: Has there been any talk of how long springer will be out?  I’m guessing tellez starts losing PT again whenever he comes back.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not for sure but just look up the lastest news at MLBTR or Rotowire

Sporty: Avisail Garcia is hitting great with some power close to stats from a few years ago. Someone dropped him in a deep league with shallow bench. Is he worth 4% FAAB?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes for sure

Owen: Sorry Jeff, I have sent three messages without a question because I’m a dumbass pressing “enter” too early. Basically – please rank Vaughn, Bader, Larnach, Tyrone Taylor and Mazara, for an OF in desperate need. (I’m ready to spend big on these scrubs, too!)

Yankee: Are you stashing any pitchers? Mikolas, Carrasco?

Jeff Zimmerman: Carrasco and E Hernandez since the start of the year in my NFBC ME team. F Valdez on another early draft.

SRB: My pitching is weak in a deep dynasty league. Is Daniel Lynch worth targeting? Alternatives look like Josh Fleming, Tyler Anderson, Merrill Kelly, Garrett Whitlock for ratios? Thanks!

Jeff Zimmerman: Not right now on Lynch. I’d target Anderson

Jeff Zimmerman: The power yes, everything else, no. He might turn into a poor man’s Joey Gallo.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m getting a ton of questions on Gurriel Jr and Soler. I would hold in my deeper leagues but I should do a deep dive. Expect an article from someone on them this week.

Tired of my DH: Can I reasonably drop Mitch Moreland as my DH (AL Only Roto League) for Khris Davis, Andujar, or Seth Brown?

Jeff Zimmerman: Careful with Davis this week. I think Texas is at an NL park

Jeff Zimmerman: But I like to see if he can turn it around. The other two are only playing part-time.

Mathews: Time to drop Lux for L.Garcia or Hoerner?

Jeff Zimmerman: If you can trade, someone might like Lux. As for pair, add Garcia since he’s not on the IL

Shaun: take a chance on Brad Keller, Davies, M Kelly or Yang or just quit now?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yang knowing you might not have the volume yet.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d give Paddack a few starts after this DL stint.

Matt: What guys aren’t you currently targeting for trades?

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s more of a type. I just don’t need low AVG, no SB bats. Those skills can usually be found on the wire

Guest: Drop German Marquez for Logan Gilbert? QS league 12 team auction keeper (4 years)

Jeff Zimmerman: Dropping Marquez is fine, but you can probably do better than Gilber

Luis CastiNO: Any thoughts on why Castillo has been a bum thus far?

Jeff Zimmerman: Several articles have been written on the subject with no clear answer. I’m sure I can add anything.

Feddy: Larnach or Tauchman?

Tauchman for me, I'm not sure on Larnach playing time.

Seth: Cut L. Robert in redraft with no IL?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, it sucks

Right: Trevor Larnach FAAB amount? Or too risky with Alex K waiting on wrist updates?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m guessing he’s near triple digits. I think the talent is fine. I’m just worried about him staying in the bigs

Sean: Do you think Eaton is worth dropping for one of Avisail Garcia or Bader?

Jeff Zimmerman: I would for Bader. I went into depth on Bader in the WW article and he is showing some plate discipline improvement in a small sample

1st Baseless: I have Aguilar, Moran and Cron in a 16-team daily? Drop Cron or Tyrone Taylor for Choi?

Jeff Zimmerman: I guess Taylor if you need another first baseman. It’s not a talent improvement.

Jeff Zimmerman: Eflin, but I could be wrong. It feels like 60/40

Guest: Seems like reds closer is still clear as mud.  NL only 5×5 I’m fishing for saves, someone dropped Lucas Sims.  I already have Antone, is it worth dropping either of my Jordan Hicks or Feyereisen for Sims?  I could also make a play for Coonrod instead.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go Coonrod.

Eric: Is Mountcastle worth an add for Eaton/M. Taylor?

Jeff Zimmerman: yes for Taylor

Greg: Time to give up on Tommy Pham? Looks to only be playing part time now and wasn’t doing much when playing.

Jeff Zimmerman: There are several Pham questions. I’ll add him to Gurriel Jr and Soler

Jim: Any value in Aaron Sanchez? Or is that a mirage?

Jeff Zimmerman: It was always a mirage.

Jimbob: what % that Alex Reyes will be closer ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: Historically, 40%

I Used to be Mel Clark: My outfield is loaded in a 10-team OBP. Have flexibility to move Stanton. Is Wheeler enough, or do I need more?

Jeff Zimmerman: Seems fine if the manager will do it.

Guest: Am I wrong to think Jared Walsh is being overrated due to a few cheap homers? He has pretty terrible stat cast numbers

Jeff Zimmerman: Which Statcast numbers. Only a couple are predictive of future performance. They mainly just describe what happened in the past.

Guest: Do you think Dom Smith will turn things around? If not, who is a buy low or buy high first base trade target?

Jeff Zimmerman: Voit could be cheap and is about back

Guest: What would you do with Ian Happ in a 12-team OC?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m holding and hoping he comes back Friday. He was just starting to hit and got hurt.

Jimy 2.0: any AL backup catchers worth FAAB $?

Jeff Zimmerman: Both in Tampa, and NYY. LAA is bad. MIN with Garver and Austillo

Dan: Giolito seems a little off.  Not putting hitters away as much in 2 strike counts.  Any concern?

Jeff Zimmerman: Sure, but there is no action so I just have to hope with him

Guest: You seem to be really down on wainright   K rate seems strong and has been pretty good since bad opening day start.  Is there something in the deeper stats you are seeing that makes you value him so poorly?

Jeff Zimmerman: A home run rate that has increased for 6 straight seasons. He’s gotten too easy to hit

Smokey: With Yasmani Grandal being utterly worthless right now (.121 BA w/2 HRs) and C being a wasteland, is it best just to bench him and run with no catcher until he figures it out? (12-tm, H2H categories)

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s only hurting you in AVG, when the other four hitting categories. Or find a fill-in catcher with a decent AVG.

duderson: If Suarez puts up another bad week with 7 games (4 in COL), I will be sad. Underlying stats are bad too.  Yikes.
