Waivers: Someone in my dynasty league dropped Domingo German today. Would you pickup if you were contending this year?

Jeff Zimmerman: Are you trolling? He’s producing like top-10 to 20 starter this year and he’s just 26. Everyone in the league should be trying to pick him up.

PB: How much FAAB you dropping on Mitch Keller?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not. I think it’s just one start and I’m grinding for more help. I’m thinking a bid of around $100 is going to be needed to roster him.

Waivers: No not trolling…guy is very reactionary. Today’s 7 run outing and next weeks Boston start scared him…I guess?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think stream. Maybe hold for a couple of weeks to see if he “gets it” as Vlad did. If not, move on.

Mixed FAAB: Interested about the Alex Reyes bidding. Is that purely speculative or is there a chance he’s starting soon?

Jeff Zimmerman: He is in the minors doing his rehab starts. He should be in the majors in a week or two.

Jeff Zimmerman: He could be. Or not. Injuries can really mess with a pitcher or the rehab can really help. Just follow the reports from his rehab starts

CubFan: Lourdes Gurriel, Biggio and Broxton are available in my 12 team AL only 5×5 league (OBP). In waht order would you go after them and how much FAAB do you throw at them (I have $21 of $100 FAAB left).

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go Biggio, Gurriel and Broxton and if min $1 bids, it’s $1 each. If $0 are allowed, it’s $5, $1, $0

Jeff Zimmerman: Peraza should not be on a 12 team roster. He’s available in a couple of 15’s.

CubFan: Is it worth replacing Jared Walsh with Thairo Estrada (I’d just bid $1)? Really don’t have a feel for who has the longer shelf life. Thought WQalsh would play more and guessing Estrada goes back down when Didi comes back. I have limited FAAB left ($21 of $100)….spent the bulk to get Vlad.

Jeff Zimmerman: Save your FAAB, you’re re-arranging deck chairs.

Jeff Zimmerman: Depends on league rules. In four of mine, I can bid on them until in the majors.

John Oleruds Helmet: I have $95 left of my $125 budget, how much would you bid on either keuchel or kimbrel when they sign

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d ignore Keuchel or maybe $2. Kimbrel comes down to if he becomes the closer. Probably $40 bid would get him in my leagues

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably not. It’s a bad weak for Saves. I’d dip into the Balt situation as Givens is a dumpster fire

CubFan: Ryan Yarbrough is available in my 12 team AL only 5×5 (use W+QS and H+S). I have Verlander, Happ, German, Chironis as SP with Glasnow and Eovaldi on bench. Worth bidding $1 or $2 to replace Chaz Roe? ($21 of $100 FAAB left). My RPs are Barnes, Kelley, Parker and Buttrey. Figure they can get me my S+H.

Jeff Zimmerman: Both of them over Ruiz at this point. I’d gamble on Broxton

MC: Is there any strategy to try & consolidate your roster (5X5 10tm), only 4-5 of my league mates like to trade. Currently in 1st by a while but it means I’m pretty stuck making moves as I risk losing the guys at the back end of my roster (Chavis, Franmil, Braun, Moustakas). Is there a specific way to go about this? I tried to offer Soroka, Chavis & Franmil to the guy in second for Marte but to no avail.

Jeff Zimmerman: It sucks trading out of the #1 spot. Some owners won’t do it. Just accept the old guys need to go at some point

Rosscoe: Is Simmons a drop with the injury? 15 team NFBC.

Jeff Zimmerman: Possibly.

SPs: Why are most SPs, outside of a few, having blowup outings? Makes it easier to not have the studs right now, but it can’t just be the ball, can it?

Jeff Zimmerman: Pitchers have always done had blowups. Also, besides maybe 10 guys, not everyone is set and forget. The matchup matter with so diversity.

Jeff Zimmerman: In AL LABR with just $100 bids, I thought I was bidding on Tim Beckham but bit a ton on Gordon Beckham

Jeff Zimmerman: Also, I misread some news at my son’s soccer game and bid over 20% on Neris when the next bid was nothing. It’s worked out but horrible process, good results (= blind luck)

Pickin’ Dude: What to make of Renato in very deep redraft? Had him early and then his numbers died a long, cold death. But  like Lazurus….
