Jeff Zimmerman: Right now, I have Woo as a 3.53 ERA talent.

Jeff Zimmerman: Gonzalez will be a strong-side platoon bat, so streamable when the Pirates faced a bunch of righties.

KCbbq: 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H keeper league using W+QS and S+1/2H. Last week you preferred Sandoval and then a decent RP by a wide margin over Bieber. After seeing what the 2 SPs did has your opinion changed? Sandoval’s first game back was an adreneline rush. Bieber looked much better. Or woul dyou opted for a RP like Okert, Headrick or Morris? My SPs are Bradish, McClananhan, Baz, Gray and stream Martin for home games.

LenFuego: In a keeper league of mine, a FABed player cannot be kept for next year unless he reaches the major leagues this year.  I FABed Franklin Arias and Mike Sorota last week, just in case … any thoughts on whether they might reach the majors this year, even just for a cup of coffee, or would it be prudent to churn those roster spots for other players?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d try to churn elsewhere. As I mentioned at least once already, keep an open mind and roster for the trade deadline

Jeff Zimmerman: The news is that Carroll is day-to-day, so I’m not adding Waldschmidt over that news

Doug Drabek: Thanks for the chat Jeff! 20-team 5×5 OBP keeper league (max three years on roster), rebuilding and am sitting near the top of the waiver order. We have three-player Minors rosters so many prospects are unavailable. Some available guys on my Watch list for a potential pickup if they were to get promoted this year: George Lombard, Michael Arroyo, Ethan Salas, Hector Rodriguez, James Tibbs, Karson Millbrandt, Quinn Matthews. Any of these guys in particular that you’d save that waiver claim for in hopes they make it to the bigs this year, or burn it on if they do get called up?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d burn it on any of them … throw as many darts as possible. Also, I suspect the priority to change a bunch once trades start

Another Old Guy: Bolte or Butler of Oakland rest of the season?  Neither great choices I know.

Jeff Zimmerman: It would be Butler if he played every game, so I’ll lean Bolte for now

NicklePickers: Would you start Ryan Weathers tomorrow vs. the Pirates? They’ve been hot, though less vs. lefties, lately.

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably. It all depends on my other options.

Ragbrai: In an NL if traded out of the league I lose them. Chances King or Alcantara get traded? Not specifically to AL , just traded.

Jeff Zimmerman: For now, I think the chances are low.

Jeff Zimmerman: One note on trades, try to follow some of the most traded likely to be traded lists, especially if MLBTR has one. Generally, if a player is not on the list, they don’t get traded.

Person: does Cole Young have what it takes to be a 25/10 bat at that park long-term, or is 18-20 HR more his upside still

Jeff Zimmerman: 25 HR is a reasonable outcome.

Jeff Zimmerman: He has 8 HR in June and July. The 1 HR in May is keeping down his total

seymour114: Would you consider Tolle and Teoscar relatively even in value ROS? Average might be a lost cause at this point but could use  RBIs and have an offer on the table

Jeff Zimmerman: I might have Tolle higher, but it’s so tough to know how your league is playing.

Scotty Mac: AL only, who are some under the radar SOLDS targets for the stretch run as I build a lead in K’s and QS’s?

Jeff Zimmerman: I don’t have any under-the-radar guys. It’s the same guys for me, good pitchers used in high-leverage spots.

NicklePickers: Do you trust the new k-bb stud Jordan Hicks or is he the same destroy-your-ratios Jordan Hicks of old?

Jeff Zimmerman: His 1.54 WHIP is doing as much ratio damage as a 5.75 ERA. Ignore

Greg Lane: Is Jackson Jobe someone to pick up or just monitor in a 16 team league? Could be a sneaky guy for the last two months to have.

Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe. I’m focusing on the guys coming back right now. Two I’d consider are Jordan Mongomery and Hayden Wesneski. Add, see if there is anything there, then dump if not and then add Jobe

Greg Pope: News on Palencia is mid-August at best, would you hold in a 15 teamer if desperate for saves?
