Sunday Night Waiver Wire & FAAB Chat
| 7:31 |
: Welcome
| 7:32 |
: Here are the winning bids in the two 15-team, Tout Wars redraft leagues.
| 7:32 |
:
| 7:32 |
: c. pratt near the top of the list?
| 7:32 |
: I’m not that sure Pratt will be good.
| 7:34 |
: Normally, hitters take a 200 OPS point hit going to the majors; he’s at .745 OPS in AAA, so a .545 OPS is the median outcome.

| 7:35 |
: He was 10th in the org and not a top-100 guy. Again, those guys are rarely productive. https://fantasy.fangraphs.com/evaluating-rookie-hitters/
| 7:36 |
: I’d only be looking at him as a Jacob Marsee clone
| 7:36 |
: AL Only – Drop Preilipp for Brandon Young?
| 7:36 |
: Yes
| 7:37 |
: Have you seen enough of Edwin Arroyo? What’s your take?
| 7:37 |
: Playing six days a week with a .000 ISO is not going to win many fantasy leagues.
| 7:38 |
: redraft – Royce Lewis, B Montgomery, D Guzman (please rank)
| 7:38 |
: You got it
| 7:38 |
: I noticed River Ryan is no longer amongst the top SP prospects. Is that just list criteria thing? Or do you rank hom
| 7:38 |
: I’m pretty sure he’s over the 40% mark like Kade Anderson
| 7:39 |
: Is Austin Riley a drop in 12 team Roto?
| 7:39 |
: I need to find a Jose Ramirez replacement in a 12 and it was not good. Who do you plan to replace him with?
| 7:40 |
: If you just lost Judge and need HRs in a 15 team NFBC, would you be all in on Braden Montgomery? Are we thinking triple digits in FAAB?
| 7:40 |
: I would
| 7:41 |
: Trea Turner continues to struggle with brief flashes of who he should be. Hang in there with him, or drop him in favor of others who have performed better? 12-team points.
| 7:41 |
: I have him in a league and I’ve been treating him like he’s hurt. Starting others and only using him as an injury replacement.
| 7:41 |
: Melton staying in DET rotation w/Skubal, Mize, Verlander returning?
| 7:43 |
: I don’t think there is any way he can. No talk of a six-man rotation
| 7:43 |
: Thanks for the chat, Jeff! 11 team mixed have to drop two of Seiya, Jung, J Dominguez and Nootbar. Which two to drop?
| 7:44 |
: Nootbaar (platoon issues) and Dominguez (worst talent)
| 7:44 |
: Still liking walker Buehler more than you should after his outing today?
| 7:45 |
: Yes, it’s nice for him to have the walks under control
| 7:45 |
: I’ve got a 2nd-half league draft coming up. 5×5 roto with keepers for next year. What current non-closer relievers have the best shot at being capital-C Closers to start 2027?
| 7:45 |
: Grant Taylor
| 7:46 |
: That’s it for now
| 7:46 |
: Manaea becoming permanent part of NYM rotation?
| 7:47 |
: It seems that way after adding the cutter ??? ….
| 7:47 |
: Yep, a cutter
| 7:47 |
: Thanks for doing these Jeff…14 team OBP league. which of Francisco Alvarez, Alejandro, Kirk, and Gabriel Marino would you roll with at catcher? I’ve got Rushing now but guessing he’s a good time / not a long time solution.
| 7:48 |
: I’d go Alvarez for now to see if he can get is power back, If the K’s continue move on. With these WW options, it seems like others will pop up.
| 7:49 |
: Names like Pallante, Buehler, Assad, and Andrew Alvarez are available in my 12 team OC. Would you cut Taj, Roupp, or Zebby for any of them? I’m finding those guys hard to trust right now as they trend in the wrong direction. Thinking of a line change.
| 7:51 |
: Taj and Zebby are clear cuts, especially Zebby. Of the guys to added, Assad and Buehler would be the two I’d target.
| 7:52 |
: May have to activate Woodruff this week. Would you drop R Nelson, T Melton, or just Woody himself?
| 7:52 |
: Melton – he’s likely headed to the bullpen
| 7:52 |
: Is Samad Taylor better than Jake McCarthy in a roto that counts BB’s?
| 7:53 |
: I would stick with McCarthy for now.
| 7:54 |
: Just a note, in three weeks, the Rockies will be home for seven games (MIA and SF), so four of their next six series are at home. If you are considering to add or keep a Rockie, it’s that time.
| 7:55 |
: Who do you prefer at 2B ROS (12tm standard roto): Matt McLain or Antonacci
| 7:56 |
: Antonacci barely ahead on talent. I’m showing McLain with a weak schedule coming up.
| 7:56 |
: Thoughts on the Elvis sighting in Vegas? Odds of him being the sole closer for the A’s? Stuff seems phenomenal if he can maintain control.
| 7:56 |
: I think they have several guys they will go with and they won’t change.
| 7:57 |
: One C Roto ; starting Sal Perez ( by default) if & when healthy any of these better : Teel, Jeffers , F.Alvarez , Yainer Diaz or Kirk.
| 7:57 |
: Jeffers, Alvarez, Diaz and possibly Kirk
| 7:57 |
: ok to drop roman anthony in 12s?
| 7:59 |
: If you need a roster spot, sure. I about needed to T Herenandez
| 7:59 |
: Muncy A’s or Lawlar as a backup in a 12T daily roto ? TY
| 7:59 |
: Muncy
| 7:59 |
: Cole Carrigg for auction in my league presently. My OF is young, but decent. But now Delauter is ??? & I’m still waiting on Beavers to return. Push how hard to get Carrigg??
| 8:00 |
: I would, the Colorado boost should help him
| 8:01 |
: What percent would you bid on Denzer in a 12 team AL only keeper?
| 8:01 |
: ~10%
| 8:01 |
: Drop Springer for B Montgomery, Carigg or Marte?
| 8:01 |
: No, hell nah.
| 8:02 |
: Where would Jake Meyers fit if he were on this weeks list? (Would he at all?)
| 8:03 |
: Meyers and Jacob Young seem to be my injury replacements in the outfield. I know they’ll play, but are barely productive.
| 8:03 |
: Meyers would be just ahead of the platoon bats.
| 8:04 |
: Rank FA rank for Cowser, Dominguez, Royce and B. Montgomery
| 8:04 |
: I want your waiver wire
| 8:04 |
: You have them backwards.
| 8:05 |
: jo adell has a sub700 ops for the year. time to drop him for cags or nootbar?
| 8:06 |
: Adell’s OPS projection has dropped 35 points from the start of the season.
| 8:06 |
: Sure on dropping him for those options.
| 8:06 |
: QS league ROS – Bibee or Kolek?
| 8:07 |
: I have bibee barely ahead
| 8:07 |
: Where would Spencer Steer (good statcast page despite recent slump) and Luke Raley rank in your waiver hitter add rankings? Thanks!
| 8:08 |
: Raley will be with the platoon guys. Their value is based entirely on their matchup. I have Steer as a much roster in all formats
| 8:08 |
: NL Only – Rostering Drohan and McDonald. Either of them a drop for Buehler? Also is Mateo a drop for Blaze Jordan. Thx!
| 8:10 |
: I might for McDonald. There is talk of him being demoted when Mahle returns so the team can feature Mahle for a trade.
| 8:10 |
: 8×8 H2H deeper 10. When Boyd comes off IL who am I dropping of Alcantara, Roupp, Elder, Scott, Ginn, and May. (I have Early with super 2 rights for next year).
| 8:11 |
: With it being a keeper league, Elder is the answer
| 8:11 |
: Are you buying the Bryce Eldridge love? Is this a legit stud in the making or are you more cautious?
| 8:11 |
: He might be able to hit, but for me, he’s a struggle to roster since he’s still Util only
| 8:12 |
: Gelof, Mead or Royce Lewis in my UT spot? Thanks!
| 8:12 |
: Mead
| 8:12 |
: Where would have JR Ritchie ranked on your waiver wire SPs? Seems like he should be getting some run now.
| 8:14 |
: Near the bottom, I want nothing to do with him at this point. I’ll need to see at least two more starts to consider wasting a roster spot on him
| 8:15 |
: Looking at U (injury) and 1b (frustrated with A Vaughn inconsistent playing time) in my 5×5 obp league. Lots of potential options: Tork, Blaze Jordan, Jasson Dominguez, Carrigg, Lawlar, and Matt McLain. Which (if any) of these guys do you prefer to Benge and/or Rumfeld (who I have on my bench). Thanks!
| 8:15 |
: Get Vaughn off your team
| 8:16 |
: With those waiver wire options, you should probably streaming a few of them each week
| 8:16 |
: We are down to scraps in a 15 team league. How would you rank Samad Taylor, Tyler Callihan and Heriberto Hernandez? Thank you.
| 8:16 |
: Now, that’s some waiver wire options I’m used to.
| 8:16 |
: Callihan, Hernandez, Taylor
| 8:17 |
: Time to drop Weathers? Nelson, Rogers, Jax, Drohan available.
| 8:18 |
: I would not and if I had to, it would be for Drohan
| 8:18 |
: Jake Bennet is best available SP in my league based on this mornings list. Anyone do anything today that would have jumped them up the list ahead of Jake?
| 8:20 |
: It’s bad, I’m taking a few stabs on IL coming back and closers. Rea and Gusto have nice schedules, but I’m not sure they’re any good.
| 8:20 |
: Who would you rather have in 12 team AL only 5×5 H2H keeper using OPS….O’Hoppe or Teel? Both available via FAAB
| 8:20 |
: Hoppe
| 8:20 |
: Out of $327/$1000 FAAB left ($1 min bids), how much to spend on Cag? Need a power outfielder
| 8:20 |
: $70
| 8:20 |
: How would you handle Strider in 15 team?
| 8:22 |
: I have him as a 4.50 ERA talent right now. And the walks are killer. I’d hold to see what the doc says this week and then go from there. If he’s out more than a month, drop
| 8:23 |
: Smarter to start Cecconi for his two-step, or Hunter Brown just off the IL?
| 8:24 |
: I’d do both but to pick one, Brown
| 8:24 |
: for this week only, B. Young or Cecconi or M. Kelly?
| 8:25 |
: I’d go for the two two-steppers.
| 8:25 |
: Have to put Jose Ramirez on the IL. How would you rank these replacement options? Baty, Mayo, Durbin, Schneemann. Isn’t much else available in my league. Thanks.
| 8:26 |
: Check to see if Denzer Guzman is an option. I’d go Mayo, Durbin, Baty, and Schneemann
| 8:27 |
: If playing for next year in a keeper, are there any signs from the minors that specific players can be exceptions to the .200 ops drops
| 8:28 |
: The article I linked to goes through the odds of a player to be productive. I all fairness, most hitters aren’t productive when called up
| 8:28 |
: Have Harris in 12 team AL only 5×5 using S+1/2H. Worth dropping Ferrer for either Clevinger or Elvis Alvarado? Jensen and Baker are my closers
| 8:29 |
: I’d do min bid swap from Ferrer or Alvardo. All three have issues.
| 8:30 |
: Well, that’s it for tonight, good luck.

Those Montgomery bids are insane. He doesn’t pull the ball in the air and he misses pitches inside the strike zone a lot.
