Starting Pitcher Chart – September 26th, 2025

The chart includes their performance for 2025, their opponent’s wOBA rank versus the pitcher’s handedness from this year so far, my general start/sit recommendation for 10-team, 12-team, and 15-team (or more) leagues, and then a note about them. Obviously, there are league sizes beyond those three so it’s essentially a shallow, medium, deep. If a pitcher only has an “x” in 15-team, it doesn’t mean there’s no potential use in 10s and 12s, but it’s a much riskier stream for those spots.
These are general recommendations, and your league situation will carry more weight whether you are protecting ratios or chasing counting numbers. This is for standard 5×5 roto leagues. The thresholds for H2H starts are generally lower, especially in points leagues so I thought there would be more valuable focusing on roto.

Walker pitched in relief last night.
It is Nola today for the Phillies.
Pardon me on that, was at a Freddie Gibbs show until 12:30a so I just took the probables at face value when I got home and didn’t do my normal sweep through
That’s a good excuse! Love Freddie Gibbs.
Hey Paul, thanks as always for the great work! Currently sitting in the championship matchup of my 10 team H2H cats dynasty league (6×6 – OPS and QS added) and I’m up in most pitching stats. My opponent has 7 starts left this week (Leiter, Merrill Kelly, Early, Glasnow, Eury, Verlander, and Ragans) vs my 5 starts left (Nola, Ranger Suarez, Skubal, Freddy Peralta, Edward Cabrera).
Ks are very close, with my 126 to his 107. With him having more starts left, I’m looking to stream a pitcher to pick up Ks and increase my lead. Would you go Sproat or Cameron tonight?
I’d probably go Sproat because MIA is a weaker lineup than ATH.
Trevor Rogers being #1 on this list for a visit to Yankee Stadium is bananas. What a finish to the season!
Imagine if we said this would be the case back in April, loool. But ya, tough matchup and yet I’m not sitting him anywhere and haven’t for MONTHS!!
I think it’s Trevor McDonald for SF today as opposed to Teng; or is he expected to be an opener?
Hi Paul! Thanks for all of these this season. Just noting that I believe it’s Trevor McDonald going for SF today, instead of Teng.
McDonald, not Teng, listed for SF tonight. Worth a try in deep leagues against a bad COL offense on the road?
Yes
Sure, I don’t mind gambling. Not a crazy upside play, but hard to ever feel too bad about taking on the Rockies on the road
