Starting Pitcher Chart – September 16th, 2022

(Got a little DraftKings game going on Friday if you’re interested)
The chart will include their performance over the last five starts, their opponent’s wOBA versus the pitcher’s handedness, and then my start/sit recommendation for 10-team, 12-team, and 15-team (or more) leagues. These are general recommendations, and your league situation will carry more weight whether you are protecting ratios or chasing counting numbers. This is for standard 5×5 roto leagues. The thresholds for H2H starts are generally lower, especially in points leagues so I thought there would be more value focusing on roto.
Let’s go secure some titles!

Bailey Ober | MIN | at CLE | R | x | x | IL return; out since June 1st | .282 – 27th | Worked up to 66 pitches in last rehab start (of 3); might still be sub-5 IP here
Ranger Suárez | PHI | at ATL | L | x | x | 4.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 12% K-BB | .352 – 4th | Very scary matchup, but he hasn’t allowed >4 ER in any of L16
Logan Webb | SFG | LAD | R | x | x | 2.25 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, 15% K-BB | .338 – 4th | Absolutely no shame dodging LA if you can’t afford to eat a dud
Josiah Gray | WAS | MIA | R | x | x | 5.61 ERA, 1.67 WHIP, 8% K-BB | .263 – 30th | Has allowed 10 ER in 10.7 IP v. MIA at home; be careful here
Matt Manning | DET | CWS | R | x | 4.21 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 15% K-BB | .302 – 17th | 7 ER v. SEA really stung; Hail Mary only for now w/CWS surging
