Welcome to the Daily SP Chart, click here if you’re new to get an idea of what I’m doing with these rankings.
2-x
- Henderson is coming off the IL (back) so I hedged and just went 2-x. He’s a 3-x pitcher when he’s fully healthy, but as I always mention, everyone has their own strategies about guys off the IL.
0-1 x
- Ober is also off the IL (elbow). He’d been pitching pretty well except for the start right before the injury so I’m willing to give him some leeway there, especially since it was at PIT – one of the scariest spots for righties this year.
- Feltner got moved off yesterday’s which is great since he avoided the Dodgers and now gets a more palatable matchup at SFG.
- Keeping the IL return train going, Junk is returning (shin) from over a month off. His May really shows you the kind of volatility you’re getting into with him: 1, 4, 7, 8, 1 ER in his 5 starts. Probably want to see one here, but SEA is sitting 24th vR over the last two weeks, well off their season mark, so maybe it’s a soft-ish landing.
- Hey, it only took like 70 bad starts in a row for me to stop recommending Perkins! I still think he’s an interesting talent, but he’s completely unstartable at home and very rarely startable on the road. He’s going to cook my Tigers because I’m talking this mess, but I’m not starting him anywhere.

Intro
The chart includes their performance for 2026, their opponent’s wOBA versus the pitcher’s handedness, and recently added opponent’s K% (also v. SP handedness), my general start/sit recommendation for 10-team, 12-team, and 15-team (or more) leagues – essentially a shallow, medium, deep league setup – and then a note about some, most, or all depending on the day. If a pitcher only has an “x” in 15-team, it doesn’t mean there’s no potential use in 10s and 12s, but it’s a much riskier stream for those spots.
These are general recommendations for standard 5×5 roto leagues, and your league situation will carry more weight whether you are protecting ratios or chasing counting numbers. I usually won’t have much to write about aces who are locked into our rotations. If you want to discuss someone further, please feel free to leave a comment. I usually do a few sweeps of the comments before game time in case there are time-sensitive questions.
Color Coding:
- Green – Good Matchup (so lower OPS output by the pitcher’s opponent)
- Yellow – OK
- Red – Bad
Wind:
NYM – Out to L center at 13
CHW – out to L at 10
SFG – out to L at 10 in a ballpark designed to minimize wind
Rain – we got some rain issues:
PIT – 31-45% in-game, less before and after
NYM – 9% to start but 44% by game’s end and after the game
CHW – 40-54% before, during and after the game
DET – 35-58% before, during and after the game
CIN – only 15% in-game and just after, but increasing to 33% later after the game
STL – 40-50% all day
SDP – ahahaha, just kidding. The Pads have had 4 rainouts since Petco opened in 2004 and 19 rainouts in franchise history since 1969. . . .
BAL – 43-66% in-game but 80-90% before and after the game. This is the last of a 3-game set and obviously the Cubs’ only trip to BAL and both teams have games tomorrow against other teams. Unlike some recent games, there are some good rescheduling options for this one -Jul 23rd, Sept 10th, Sept 17th are all open days for both teams that don’t interrupt road trips (for the O’s) or home stands (for the Cubs) & wouldn’t have either team making an insane cross-country flight to get it in.
Still warm everywhere except California
Dang, I play this little DFS-style game inside of Out of the Park baseball and I wanted to stack up against Peterson but that weather is scaring me off it
They did move the game up by 5 hours hoping they’ll be able to get it in so maybe that works.
I’m no weatherman so don’t rely on me. I post these as a “hey, there might be an issue and you may want to research further” warning.
The work is greatly appreciated!!
So in the end, much ado about nothing. Don’t know if there was any rain, but the game played with no interruptions/delays.
Hopefully you avoided the O’s stack today anyway as they did nothing. Peterson wasn’t anything special but kept runners off base and runs off the board.
you know i’m all about the percentages, so i thought it was the right move to fade! def no heat your way for them playing, espec. bc as you say, it didn’t turn out how i thought anyway but even if Alonso, Adley, & Co. had raked, i still felt good about the skip
Thanks again for your efforts on this and great weather info.
Funny, I picked up Perkins for a spot start before reading this article. Part of the reason was RW indicated he was following an opener, which I thought might help him potentially qualify for a W, allow him to really max out for 3-4 innings, and its a plus in leagues with a # of starts cap.
Other sources seem to indicate he is starting the game, which if true, and after reading his blurb, I now have some reservations.
Roster Resource has him as a bulk follower. I suspect weather may play a factor as well. If they think there might be an in-game delay, they may run out a reliever or two and hope Perkins can come back after the delay and throw 4-6 IP.
MLB’s Starting Lineups page now shows Suarez starting so it looks like they did go with the opener today.
What in the world is wrong with Framber? His Pitch Values are all down, Ks are down, and peripherals say he’s worse than his down year in 2019. I own him in a cat league and benched him today because I’m way up after what Melton and Cease did last night. But there’s no rhyme or reason why he can nearly blank the Yankees one day, and then get shelled by Cleveland or Minnesota on a different night.
