Starting Pitcher Chart – July 7th, 2025

Kyle Ross-USA TODAY Sports

Daily SP Chart archive

The chart includes their performance for 2025, their opponent’s wOBA rank versus the pitcher’s handedness from this year so far, my general start/sit recommendation for 10-team, 12-team, and 15-team (or more) leagues, and then a note about them. Obviously, there are league sizes beyond those three so it’s essentially a shallow, medium, deep. If a pitcher only has an “x” in 15-team, it doesn’t mean there’s no potential use in 10s and 12s, but it’s a much riskier stream for those spots.

These are general recommendations, and your league situation will carry more weight whether you are protecting ratios or chasing counting numbers. This is for standard 5×5 roto leagues. The thresholds for H2H starts are generally lower, especially in points leagues so I thought there would be more valuable focusing on roto.

Starter Notes July 7, 2025
RK PITCHER GAME 10 12 15+ IP ERA WHIP K-BB 2025 wOBA RK NOTE
1 Hunter Brown | Colton Gordon HOU v CLE W x x 104 1.82 0.90 25% 26th Nice group of aces with cushy matchups to start the week | OK fine, maybe we aren’t getting an ace-laden Monday after all!!
2 Cristopher Sánchez PHI at SFG x x x 100 2.68 1.13 19% 27th
3 Jacob deGrom TEX at LAA x x x 101 2.13 0.89 20% 20th
4 Yoshinobu Yamamoto LAD at MIL x x x 96 2.51 1.01 20% 24th
5 Nick Pivetta | Yu Darvish SDP v ARI 0 0.00 0.00 0% 1st Darvish makes his season debut! Definite pickup, but no shot I’m starting him here.
6 Yusei Kikuchi LAA v TEX x x x 102 2.81 1.37 14% 29th
7 Freddy Peralta MIL v LAD x x x 99 2.91 1.09 17% 2nd
8 José Berríos TOR at CHW x x x 106 3.64 1.24 13% 30th Perfect matchup to build a nice base before heading to ATH on the wknd
9 Brady Singer CIN v MIA x x x 88 4.36 1.34 11% 17th MIA/COL coming to Cincy is a fantastic setup for him
10 Richard Fitts BOS v COL x x x 28 4.50 1.25 11% 27th Solid in 7 IP since his return, but that’s 4 and 3 IP starts
11 Noah Cameron KCR v PIT x x x 56 2.56 1.01 11% 28th Has topped 90 pitches just 2x making mostly a 5-and-dive so more a ratio streamer
12 Andrew Heaney PIT at KCR x x x 93 4.16 1.20 10% 25th Good chance to stay hot w/a trip to KCR
13 Shane Baz TBR at DET x x 97 4.33 1.25 15% 9th Baz-Bibee are really tough calls given their matchups; Baz is much better on the road at least (2.91 ERA/1.09 WHIP)
14 Zac Gallen ARI at SDP x x 104 5.45 1.37 13% 22nd Just as a bunch of ppl finally cut him in deeper formats, he has an amazing 10-K start… can he keep it going v. this modest SDP lineup?
15 Janson Junk MIA at CIN x 37 3.62 1.13 21% 7th Bounced back after a dud at SFG and he’s truly been excellent outside of his 2 duds
16 Landen Roupp SFG v PHI x 85 3.48 1.48 11% 8th Lucky to have a 1.19 ERA in his L3 w/a horrendous 1.59 WHIP tied to it
17 Tanner Bibee CLE at HOU x 98 4.20 1.24 14% 16th Maybe the righty-heavy HOU lineup will favor him? (85 pt. OPS split)
18 Sean Burke CHW v TOR 87 4.03 1.40 9% 15th
19 Keider Montero DET v TBR 56 4.02 1.39 8% 6th Unconfirmed, but some sort of bullpen-type gm is happening for the opener
20 Austin Gomber COL at BOS 19 5.49 1.53 2% 2nd
