RotoGraphs Audio: The Sleeper and the Bust 4/18/13
Episode 1
It’s the inaugural episode of The Sleeper and the Bust starring yours truly and the man with the hair, Eno Sarris! It took awhile, but RotoGraphs finally has its own fantasy baseball podcast. Join me every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday for shenanigans and perhaps some useful advice. On tonight’s episode, we discuss debuts, early struggles and hot starts.
Don’t hesitate to direct pod-related correspondence to @mikepodhorzer or @enosarris on Twitter.

Will this become available on iTunes?
great start guys. fan of both of yours so I’m glad you’re doing this. subtle critique: Mike, the mic pops whenever you pronounce a P (maybe move the mic further away from your face?). just a minor nit pick, because the sound was good overall and you are both well-spoken.
Interesting, thanks for the feedback. I’ll move the mic back a bit, hopefully that was the problem.
As mentioned on Twitter, I desperately need a feed address for this. Don’t forget about non-iTunes users!
Replying to myself to say I found a web address that works for my phone’s podcast app: http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/feed/podcast
Guys, iTunes and feed stuff coming! Thanks for the early feedback.
Wow. Great stuff and thanks as always for everything FanGraphs and Eno.
Is it true that these will become videocasts, or has Eno destroyed the green screen and everything else that required assembly?
I know everyone is dying to see our attractive mugs, fantastic facial hair (me) and amazing head of hair (Eno, obv) on the screen. However, at this moment in time, we will only be recording our almost as sexy voices. This may change in the future, though, if we can figure out how to best take advantage of you folks being able to actually see us, rather than just hear us.
Podhorzer nice intro. I didn’t know you had rhymes
So which one is the sleeper and which the bust?
exactly.
I liked your analysis on Jayson Heyward. Do you think offering Carl Crawford and Werth would be enough of an offer?
Can’t be sure until you offer it! Personally, I think it’s fair, but in all my leagues, Werth was massively undervalued compared to my own valuation. So don’t know how the Heyward owner views him.
But seriously, when will the beercast portion of beergraphs start?
I was offered Nate Schierholtz for Cameron Maybin this morning. Should I go ahead and do it? Maybin only helps my fantasy team name, terrible start, and might miss more than a month. Or should I hold on to him?
H2H League, Standard Categories
I have been struggling to fill my last UTIL spot, shuffling between Jeff Keppinger (picked up hoping for .280 avg and position flexibility) and Matt Adams (riding a hot bat when he’s in the lineup). Would you drop either of those two for the following:
Lorenzo Cain
Brandon Crawford
Chris Carter
Jon Jay
Daniel Nava
Andrelton Simmons
Yonder Alonso
