I am in a 12-team, seven player keeper league and was offered Mike Trout for Jose Bautista, Kris Bryant and Craig Kimbrel. I won my league last year and drafted Bryant in the first round (8th round overall) with my first pick. My thinking is that I probably would have traded Bautista and Kimbrel along with a first rounder for Trout before the draft started, but now it seems like a massive over-payment at this point, especially with all the hype surrounding Bryant. I also have Evan Longoria and Matt Carpenter (but I can only play two of them at a time). The guy I”m trading with has Anthony Rendón as his third basemen and I think he’s desperate given his injury status. Should I wait and see what Bryant does when he comes up? I think long-term having Trout would be nice, but moving all those assets for him would weaken my chances to win again this year. Below is my team.

You kept THREE closers?!?!
I just love, love the show and you two are getting better and better at building off each other. But the intro–fellas, this isn’t the fantasy focus podcast. The quotes that are great from you are analysis. Otherwise, five stars (and I’ve said so on iTunes).
RE: Bryants send down/Service time
I keep hearing everyone saying how bad it is for the fans, and even Cubs players. How it shows a team that isnt serious about winning, blah, blah, blah.
Seems to me any real fan should understand the value to your team of sacrificing a few games now for a whole year. As a fan, I want my best players under control for as long as possible.
Its the passive, not really fan who would bitch about this. The person who bought tickets to one game in April and wont see Bryant.
The Cubs front office ARE doing whats best for the fans if the fans care about the long-term viability of the franchise.
All the Yankees are undervalued this year. In fantasy and in real life.
I cant think of a single Yankee player who is being overdrafted except maybe Betances.
Def Betances, although I’ve contributed to that and I’m standing firm w/him, but yeah he’s like the only overvalued Yankee right now. It’s weird. For years Yankees were mad overrated.
Bud Black v Matt Kemp in a fight following a punch in the neck…. Think Im taking Kemp in that one. Not a man I’d wanna tussle with. He doesnt seem like he takes too much mess from anyone.
BTW the Colorado injury study would be awesome to see. Would make alot of sense. Seems I can think of alot of “injury prone” Colorado players over the years.
