Hey guys! I love the podcast!
Quick question. I have Bautista, Beltre, and Max Scherzer in a 6×6 league with ops and QS as the extra categories and we keep 3 every year. Who would you take next? What position would you focus on? At pick 44 I believe these people will be available. Who would you take? Freeman, Dickerson, Cespedes, Cueto, Zimmerman, and Kluber.

Andy, I’d probably take another hitter so Dickerson or Cespedes (if his health checks out after coming out of the game yesterday).
You asked for Tulo questions….I am in a league where we use OBP and SLG instead of average and Net SB, so it leads to some funky stuff. But I plug it into the Auction Calculator and I see how big the drop off happens at SS. It sees a whopping $12 gap between Tulo and the 2nd option. So you have to make up this value somewhere else, but I think it might be easier to. There is a $41 gap between Tulo and the 8th ranked SS. There is only a $29 gap at 1B. A $28 gap at 2B. A $15 gap at 3B. and a $19 gap at C.
So the heart of the question is how to deal with these gaps. Ideally there should be some sort of value optimization where we essentially set a “replacement level” in a practical sense depending on how quickly each postion falls off because tier aren’t created equal? Essentially a Marginal “wins above fantasy replacement”/$
Hello! You guys are my favorite advisory team, and so I ask this question to y’all and only y’all: AL only keeper. I’ve got 6 slots. Four are going to Cobb/Richards/Tillman/VMart, all pretty cheap. So two left for: Bogaerts (14), Ventura (12), Vogt (5, C eligible), Andrew Miller (5), Dyson (4) and Schoop (2). Lots of them aren’t much value, so it’s sort of a preference question maybe. I tend to try to underpay for pitchers, but all the injuries/abandonments among AL arms has me spooked about cutting Ventura. Thoughts?
Has Kris Bryant’s spring changed your ranking on him at all? I only picked up one share around #125 overall because of the K% and playing time risks. But now somethings starting to make me think I’ve been overlooking one simple fact; He’s been a destroyer of baseballs at every level and there’s only one level left. I know it’s only spring training but it seems like the dots are starting to line up, he might be pretty good. I’m getting the same feeling about passing on Bryant as I did when I saw Harvey hit 99mph after I traded him in my keeper league. It’s not a good one.
in ottoneu points league I got fielder for 17…I didn’t want him, but thought that was too cheap to let someone else get him. nice podcasts guys…I haven’t voted yet, but I will.
