Various News and Notes
Nathan Lukes went 2-for-4 with a home run in the loss to the Rangers on Sunday.

Lukes is hitting .310/.357/.439 with four home runs in 170 plate appearances. With injuries to Jesus Sanchez and Addison Barger, Lukes is playing every day and batting in the top of half of the lineup. He has a good hit tool, but lacks the power and speed to offer a ton of upside outside of deeper leagues. This is his fourth homer in the month of June, but this feels more like a hot streak than anything else.

Connor Prielipp threw six innings versus the Rockies on Sunday, allowing two runs on six hits and no walks while striking out 10 in the no-decision.

Prielipp was great, getting a 62% whiff rate on his curve and a 32% CSW overall on his pitches. He was helped out by a whiff-happy Rockies lineup that struggled on the road, but he did a good job at filling up the zone to not give away free passes. If he can continue to do that, there is good upside in the rookie.

Josh Lowe went 1-for-2 with a grand slam in the victory over the A’s on Sunday.

Lowe was terrible for the first two months of the season which resulted in him getting sent down to the minors in May. He has been hot since his recall, with hits in every game he’s played in. Lowe has always had a very interesting blend of power and speed, but he struggles against lefties and can have extended cold streaks. While he hot, you should pick him up, but the profile hasn’t changed much.

Streaming Pitchers (Under 50% in Yahoo)

Pitcher for Today: Peter Lambert vs MIN

Lambert has quietly been very good this season and has a great matchup at home.

Other Options: Sean Burke at BAL, Ryan Johnson at SEA, Sean Manaea at TOR, Robert Gasser vs CIN, Eric Lauer 라우어 at ATH.

Pitcher for Tomorrow: Griffin Jax at KC

Jax has been great since becoming a starter and has a great matchup versus a weak Royals lineup.

Other Options: Brandon Sproat vs CIN, JP Sears at CHC

For those of you that would like to see how these picks play out, I have a doc I put together to track the stats from my recommended pitchers. It does not include the “Other Options.”
