Paul Sporer Rotographs Chat – July 21st, 2016

Thanks for coming out!!

2:01
Paul Sporer: Not entirely sure how Eve 6 crossed my mind today, but they did and it’s perfect for Throwback Thursday!

2:01
Harry Caray’s Ghost: What does Josh Reddick’s line look like from here forward? Too much to hope for about 10 more SB’s?

2:02
Paul Sporer: yeah, I’d think it’s a little aggressive, but it depends where he goes (I think a trade is a safe assumption)

2:02
Pomeranz: ROS: Chris carter/McCarthy, or Bour/Wainwirght

2:02
Paul Sporer: Bour/Waino. 2.54 ERA for Waino in his last 11

2:02
Joe D: What is your long term outlook on sano for a dynasty league? Would you trade puig for him?

2:03
Paul Sporer: That’s a fair trade. He’s a power monster for sure. My biggest fear was the Ks leading to a shitty AVG and that’s played out, but I think he can evolve on that in the futre

2:03
Paul Sporer: future, even

2:03
Brendan C. : Do you fully expect Kershaw to return this year? Is it worth selling low on him?

2:04
Paul Sporer: I mean, I have a hard time saying I FULLY expect it. It really depends how low, but I’m not completely averse to trading him. Latest is that he WON’T need surgery so that’s good. I think he’s still top 5, but he’s off my #1 perch right now

2:04
Snowflake: Who would you rather have for the next two years, Ian Desmond or Trevor Story? Yeah, Desmond might never be a SS again, but he’s been so good.

2:06
Paul Sporer: I love Desmond, but I’ll take the Coors SS who is just 23. Even with the boatload of Ks

2:07
Paul K: Do you think TB-LAD’s deal is based around Puig and Archer?

2:07
Paul Sporer: I can definitely see that. Even at his highest, Puig is making less than $10 mil so it’s a chance at a superstar without superstar prices for TB

2:07
Heathcliff Slocumb: Eno talked about buying low on Eickhoff in deeper leagues. I traded for him and shipped out Estevez and Kelley in my dynasty league as I needed to consolidate some roster spots with a few DL guys coming back. OK in your book?

2:07
Paul Sporer: Definitely

2:08
Paul Sporer: Wasn’t this song on Guitar Hero? I didn’t play A TON of GH, but I seem to recall this being on it.

2:08
statergery: Paul, is it every permissible to just not use a catcher in a 14 tm roto. Thinking of dropping Grandal to pick up DeShields for speed… no other obvious drop at the moment.

2:08
Paul Sporer: Grandal is raking of late, isn’t he? I’d try something else. Never a good idea to purposely take a full on zero

2:08
Josh: Are you expecting Aaron Altherr to be 12-team rosterable ROS when he returns?

2:08
Paul Sporer: No probably not. It was a wrist which can hamper power even when back. I’m eyeing ’17 for AA

2:09
Friend: I felt like I got hosed back in May when I traded my Maeda for Justin Turner. Now I feel like Pablo.

2:09
Paul Sporer: Haha, yeah you’re sitting pretty now. He’s been on one for a minute now

2:09
Dave: 12-team mixed, keep 5 league… have Kershaw, sitting in second and (if not for the injury) had a plausible path to first . I’m probably not in position to compete next year (due to draft pick trades, etc.). Try to deal Kershaw?

2:10
Paul Sporer: No, I wouldn’t dump out sitting in 2nd. Unless the trade is to help this year, hold

2:10
FGM: Am I crazy to turn down one year of Price for 4 years of Stroman? Dynasty league.

2:10
Patrick in KC: Let’s get the Bregman question out of the way…..you buying this weekend’s Angels series hype as his imminent call-up time?

2:10
Paul Sporer: No and No; Price hasn’t been Price proper this year and I’m done guessing on Bregman’s call up

2:11
RE2PECT: Trying to shop Kershaw in a 12 team redraft. What sort of return could I ask for? Assuming my opponent’s a gambling man, could I package Kershaw and Samardizja and ask for a guy like Correa? He needs pitching.

2:11
Paul Sporer: That could work as long as your trade partner has seen the news that he won’t need surgery

2:11
Mike: Rival executive saying there’s a “70% Archer goes to the Dodgers”. How much does his value increase with a move to the NL West?

2:12
Paul Sporer: Some, but you never know how a midseason trade will suit a player. I would obviously go hard for him in NL onlys if he comes over just bc the chance for excellence is there, but I’m not EXPECTING it

2:12
Gest: I know it’s tough to predict, but do you think Snell will use his slider more after seeing its success in Colorado? Much like Fulmer’s increased confidence in his changeup?

2:13
Paul Sporer: That’s REALLY tough to answer, especially slider is a more taxing pitch so he might not necessarily be allowed to just lean on it. I need to check that Coors start

2:13
Snowflake: Which one are you dropping? Maybin, Gardner or Pederson?

2:13
Paul Sporer: Maybe this was the song on Guitar Hero

2:14
Paul Sporer: Dropping Joc unless you’re power starved. The Maybin/Gardner speed is much more rare

2:14
Dumpster Fiers: Giolito get the call on Sunday? Good matchup with the Pads

2:15
goat: paul i love u

2:15
Paul Sporer: Not sure if Giolito gets the call, but a Padres matchup is always nice (unless you’re a lefty)

2:15
N.W.enO: Yo…P-Spore. What it is, dawg? You good with Yelich for Quintana?

2:16
Paul Sporer: I prefer Yelly, but it’s a fair deal if needs align

2:16
Billy: Traded Dee Gordon for Zack Greinke. Who won? (10-team H2H league, standard cats)

2:17
Paul Sporer: Solid move. I don’t think there’s a clear winner. Keep in mind, if you’re helping your team, it doesn’t matter who *wins* the trade

2:18
PS: Worthwhile to deal DJ Lemahieu in a 16 team if I’m able to slot in Trea Turner? I could use 1B or OF help– what return should I shoot for?

2:18
Paul Sporer: Ya he’s been a pretty empty batting average. You should shoot for something to help your team. It’s really an impossible question to answer as is because there are so many variables, especially at this point in the season.

2:19
Paul Sporer: If you’re looking to deal someone, I can’t tell you what you should get. Your league’s market will determine that. If you want to include a name you’re shooting for, I can help that way and give you an idea if it’s OK, but even that isn’t surefire. Focus on your needs and see where you can improve by dealing someone.

2:19
fresh basil: Assuming Zunino gets 150 more ABs, I should expect about 30 HRs right?

2:19
Paul Sporer: LOL

2:20
N.W.enO: Dude…the struggle is fo’ real. You comfortable starting Shields against Rock City today?

2:21
Paul Sporer: He has settled in a bit: 2.43 ERA in his last five starts, though a meager 15/11 K:BB in the 33.3 IP. He just couldn’t be as bad as we were seeing unless he was hurt, so while I’m not exactly interested in him, I’m not TOO surprised that he got on track a bit. He can be a 4.30ish ERA the rest of the way which will include some good starts

2:21
Michael: 12 team keeper league: currently, have my utility spot split between carlos santana and marcell ozuna. have an opporunity to grab votto in exchange for a 5th round draft slot next year. is he enough of an upgrade over the other 2 to justify giving up this pick?

2:22
Paul Sporer: As much as I love Votto, no. Ozuna has been awesome and Santana’s been really good, too. I think you’re piecing it together nicely

2:22
Minty: If the Rangers don’t trade Gallo does he stay down until rosters expand? What if traded?

2:25
Paul Sporer: I think he gets moved. They’re going to be very active at the deadline (IMO). The Prince news adds a wrinkle for Gallo, but they want to give Profar full-time PAs. Btw, pardon the backpat (you know I take my heat when I get one spectacularly wrong), but I mentioned in a chat a while back that his K% improvement was suspect over such a short sample. He’s at 30% on the season now.

2:26
Deez: Need league management advice: Our 10 tm AL only currently has a no limit on keepers ($3 increase out of $260 draft budget) and everyone votes for one player to move off each team. Last 5 years, same people at top and at bottom, what competitive balance measures should we put in place?

2:26
Paul Sporer: Increase the escalator or place limits on the number of keepers. Seems the best teams are probably just continually stockpiling the most talent and consistently winning

2:26
Harry Caray’s Ghost: Sanchez is going to get shut down soon, and who knows when Upton is going to start hitting again. If I package them together and ship them to a non-contender in my keep-forever league, what range of SP should I be able to land? Not Arrieta or Scherzer certainly….but the next tier down from that, maybe someone like Carassco/Cueto/Lester?

2:27
Paul Sporer: I’d be OK actually shooting for that highest end, but ya I think the next tier should get done if they balk at a top 7 guy

2:27
fresh basil: Traded 2years of Dozier for 5 years Bregman. Win?

2:28
Paul Sporer: Not a bad gamble, but definitely a gamble for what I hope are obvious reasons

2:28
fresh basil: Should I stash Rosenthal off waivers in a 14 team keeper?

2:28
Paul Sporer: Ehh, I guess

2:28
Jimmy: Recently traded my Bogaerts, Osuna, and Saunders for Scherzer and Russell in 12 team standard h2h. Felt my offense was still in great shape without X when I have guys like Donaldson, Betts, Votto in the mix and I desperately needed pitching help after getting buried in every category recently. Thoughts?

2:28
Paul Sporer: I can get behind that for sure. You went and got your ace. If you’re buried, you’ll probably need more in addition to Max, but he’s a great start to fixing the pitching

2:29
Maxamuz: Gonna be hard to trade Puig now with that messed up Hammy

2:29
Paul Sporer: yeah, I actually JUST saw that. But TB isn’t focused on ’16

2:34
Not your buddy, Guyer: TRADE: My VMart and Shoemaker for his Marte in a 6×6 OBP & SLG league where Im crushing power #s but trotting out a combo of Kepler, Puig & Naquin in the OF everyday. Need speed, start 4 OF w/ 2 UTIL. I know I’m overpaying but by too much?

2:34
Paul Sporer: Ya on paper you lose this, but this is why I said the thing about focusing on needs. I’m actually OK with it in the context of your league and needs. You need a rabbit and Marte has 33 SBs!

2:34
Rick: Which of these shortstops ROS; Jose Ramirez, Espinosa, Didi…or Wilmer?

2:35
Paul Sporer: I’ll take Didi

2:35
Patrick in KC: what are you expecting from Skaggs upon his return next week?

2:36
Paul Sporer: Not much, tbh. I just don’t get hyped on TJ returners in that first year back

2:36
Paul Sporer: I like Skaggs overall and I’ll be interested in him next year. I think we could see some solid starts, but the hiccups will probably hurt more than the good stuff helps

2:36
Billy: Bryce Harper is killing my team.

2:41
Paul Sporer: Through this time last year, he had 7 more HR, 10 more RBIs , 12 more Rs, 10 fewer SBs and a vastly better AVG. I doubt that alone is killing your team, tbh

2:43
fresh basil: Imagine a world where Cutch is the worst hitting position player on your team.

2:43
Paul Sporer: Insane, right? Predicting this game is p hard!

2:43
Kevin: 14-team Roto with net SBs. Which four would you keep from Mazara, Conforto, Joc, Naquin, Dahl, Duvall?

2:45
Paul Sporer: Duvall, Naq (gotta ride it out), Maz, and I’ll say Dahl bc he could come up after the deadline so go with him until like Aug 7th or so to see what happens

2:46
Kevin: Thoughts on Jean Segura? Is this a fluke, or could he be keeper-worthy?

2:49
Paul Sporer: it’s a bit BABIP influenced. there’s some added punch, but it isn’t some crazy breakout

2:49
Joe D: Would you trade tanaka for archer in a dynasty league?

2:49
Paul Sporer: No

2:49
Jack Bauer: What should I do with Brantley? AL only, would cost me $29 out of $260 to keep. Any chance for him to come back this year? Worth keeping into next?

2:49
Paul Sporer: No chance of keeping regardless so just ride it out and see if he comes back unless someone offers you something to help this year’s team

2:49
Tyler: Thoughts on the return of Dee Gordon? Can we expect his return to the top of the lineup and will he steal bases like the past? Thank you!

2:52
Paul Sporer: Yeah, i don’t see any reason to expect his game to change. he might be a little rusty, but the skills should be the same

2:52
Jason : 12 team H2H dynasty “keep forever” league with 40 man rosters – gearing up for a playoff run…I have an offer where I trade Brantley/Carrasco/Alfaro for Hamels/Braun Which side would you want?

2:52
Paul Sporer: Yeah, that works. Prefer Carrasco, but Hamels hardly a bad replacement and then you get a big bat for 2 guys not helping you

2:53
Nathan: Traded for Bryce and dropped Justin Turner on June 12th because I needed HR/RBI. It’s not working out well. Turner was picked up by the guy I got Harper from.

2:53
Paul Sporer: OUCH, that’s tough

2:53
Patrick in KC: On a scale of 1 to Wiz Khalifa, how high are you on Tyler Naquin rest of season?

2:54
Paul Sporer: LOL. Like a 5. This power surge is crazy, but I can’t get TOOOO nuts on it

2:54
Ben: Early keeper watch: which do you prefer: Yelich ($11), Piscotty ($8), Ozuna ($5)

2:54
Paul Sporer: the 3 aren’t too far overall, so I’ll just go with the cheapest tbh

2:55
PR: any chance chapman gets dealt and doesnt close?

2:56
Paul Sporer: Probably not

2:56
Paul Sporer: The teams he’s been rumored to aren’t exactly looked in at closer

2:56
The other Kyle: Thoughts on Peraza? Does he stay up ROS and, if so, does he provide anything more than 10-15 SBs?

2:57
Paul Sporer: I can see him staying up, but he’s just an SB asset. Which is fine because they are so scarce

2:57
MJ: Thoughts on Stroman ROS? He’s still limiting walks and his HR/FB% should regress (currently at around 18%) indicating he’s been unlucky on balls in play… think he can post a mid-low 3’s ERA ROS?

3:00
Paul Sporer: He couuuuulllllddd, but I see more upper-3s

3:00
Eric: Ottoneu 5×5, is $14 Thor + $3 Giolito for $34 Sale + $21 Cruz a fair deal for both sides?

3:00
Paul Sporer: Yeah it is. Obv side A is looking toward next yr?

3:00
Ombudsman: Tyler Naquin worth a pick up in a 10-tm league? Right now I have D Valencia in one of my UTIL spots but he hasn’t done anything productive of late it seems. Thanks for the help P-Spore!

3:01
Paul Sporer: Yeah I’m surprised he’s still out there even in 10-teamers. He’s been SOOOO good. Probably gonna get a lot of his come down, but I’d still get him

3:01
Drew: I’m 15/16 in a dynasty league (R, HR, SB, RBI, OPS//W, K, ERA, WHIP, Net SV/H). Was offered Conforto, Vince Velasquez, and Nick Williams for Stanton. Thoughts?

3:01
Paul Sporer: Do it

3:02
Oliver: Better ROS: Conforto Joc or Shaw? Can any of them be top 120 material? (12 team 10 player keeper league – OBP)

3:05
Paul Sporer: I’ll go Shaw. Any of the 3 could surge up to 120 material, but they aren’t keepers in your setup

3:05
Billy Hamilton: What are the odds of me batting .250 and leading the league in SB rest of season?

3:06
Paul Sporer: 38%? the .250 is always a struggle, but he’s still running a good bit

3:06
Kevin: Have very little speed anywhere on my roster in a 14-team, keep-15 Roto league. I recently acquired Segura and planned on keeping him as my UT (I have Odor and C. Seager at 2B/SS). But I have the chance to trade a first round pick to get Votto, who would be slotted at UT (Freeman at 1B). Should I make the deal based on value and then work it out later?

3:09
Paul Sporer: I’d say no. At this point, you need to focus on the standings and how you can win. Votto forces another move for you that you may not be able to get done. Unless you think you can setup another trade with Freeman before the Votto to get another burner

3:09
bob: Trying to consolidate in a dynasty league. A. Sanchez, L. McCullers, O. Arcia, and Segura a fair offer for Bryant?

3:10
Paul Sporer: Yeah that seems pretty fair, perhaps even a touch high? I don’t play any pure dynasties so maybe it’s not

3:20
Oliver: Dahl or Bregman this year and next?

3:20
Paul Sporer: Dahl because of Coors

3:20
TD: Ellsbury just hit waivers in my league. Would you dump Puig for him?

3:20
Paul Sporer: Depends on league context, but yeah, you can

3:20
Oliver: How much does Matt Moores value increase if he gets dealt to say Pittsburgh?

3:20
Paul Sporer: That’d be really intriguing. It would jump up some

3:25
Paul K: #tbt 1969. I got this young arm in Nolan Ryan, but I really need a shortstop…like, real bad. Is he worth stashing or is he worth giving up for somebody like Jim Fregosi?

3:26
Paul Sporer: Yeah trade that guy. Pitchers are lame.

3:26
sheelpi: Should Trea Turner change his name to Timmy?!?!?

3:26
Paul Sporer: Ummmmm

3:26
Paul Sporer: Sure?

3:26
Kevin in KC: I’m middle of the pack in a keeper, other guy is contending and needs SP help. Is Conley/Maurer enough for Contreras?

3:27
Paul Sporer: I think it’s a fair offer, yeah

3:27
Tyler: Can we buy into the numbers that Pujols is putting up? Can’t tell if the power and rbi production is legit!

3:31
Paul Sporer: Albert Pujols? Yeah for sure. Power is one asset

3:32
Hammy Billington: 12 man h2h 5×5 league. I own Altuve, Dee Gordon and Billy Hamilton. I don’t need the Hamilton shares anymore once Gordon comes back, right?

3:32
Paul Sporer: yeah you should peddle some of that speed for sure

3:32
Carlos Gomez: What’s my RoS line? .240/.310/.400?? Do I even have 15 HR + SB left in the tank this year??

3:32
Paul Sporer: Ya, that all sounds about right. Thanks for joining us today, Carlos!

3:33
Kevin in KC: Chances David Dahl is up before rosters expand…25% about right?

3:33
Paul Sporer: I’d say 33%, but I’m not even sure what means, lol. I think an OF will be dealt from Colorado

3:33
Paul Sporer: but that could be wishful thinking by me bc I love trade activity

3:33
fresh basil: Is rostering Correa, Altuve, and Bregman too much Stros for one man?

3:33
Paul Sporer: No, just roster the best players

3:33
Friend: The song in Guitar Hero is “6’s and 7’s” by Queens of the Stone Age

3:33
Paul Sporer: 3s and 7s

3:33
John: Lemahieu and Brett Gardner for Nelson Cruz? It’s a Head to head and Sano/Machado are my power sources with JD Martinez hurt…

3:34
Paul Sporer: you’re getting Cruz to add to your pwr? I’m in

3:35
Maud: I’m buying Kershaw! Go Cortisone!

3:35
Paul Sporer: Good luck! I don’t think it’s a terrible idea

3:35
Oliver: Buy Hold Sell: Kang?

3:35
Paul Sporer: Lotta variables missing here. but generally I’d sell right now

3:36
Carl Everett’s Dinosaur: Paul, who’s THE pickup this week: Dahl, Benintendi, Reyes, De Leon?? Bergman already gone. Thanks Paul!

3:37
Paul Sporer: Do you need pitching or hitting more? I’ll go De Leon or Dahl

3:37
Gavin: 10 team roto. I could really use saves and have good Sps with Scherzer, Strasburg, Kluber, Price, Waino and McCullers. I think I can pull off either trading Waino for Wade Davis or McCullers for Oh. Good deal? Which one shoild I go for?

3:40
Paul Sporer: I’m a little nervous on Davis, so I’ll actually go for Oh

3:40
Maxamuz: Edwin Diaz has a 21k9 over the last 30 days with 7 holds.

3:44
Paul Sporer: he’s been INSANE! 14 of his 20 appearances are multi-K outings

3:47
Kevin in KC: When does Naquin’s performance become real? The BABIP since 6/1 recall is .379.

3:51
Paul Sporer: I mean the 31% HR/FB never really stabilizes. He’s just on one right now.

3:51
Eric: What sized leagues is Altherr worth rostering in?

3:51
Paul Sporer: 18+ mixers

3:51
Paul Sporer: brb, gotta take Charlotte out

3:51
Eric: Valbuena has been playing well, but are his days numbers with Bregman and Gurriel?

3:51
Paul Sporer: I don’t necessarily think so. But they could make some moves to free it up

4:04
Sparks: Paul, you going to RR tonight to catch Bregman play??

4:04
Paul Sporer: Nah, won’t be making it tonight. Are they here all weekend?

4:05
Harper: Billy is killing my team.

4:05
Paul Sporer: LOL

4:05
Oliver: You should start an online show franchise with some of us fans!

4:05
Paul Sporer: I’ve considered starting one with ppl in my stream. Stay tuned.

4:05
Dumpster Fiers: Wait, Puig hurt again???

4:05
Paul Sporer: Crazy, right? And – sit down for this – it’s a hammy

4:05
Oleyemno: Where is Danny Valencia going to land and how much will it increase his fantasy value (more AB, out of Oakland)?

4:06
Paul Sporer: No idea, prob not much

4:09
Rob2: Over/under at 8 for MLB starts for Tyler Glasnow this year?

4:09
Paul Sporer: under

4:10
Jacob: Dynasty league, Belt for Berrios and R. McMahon? I’m out of contention this year, so main goal is stockpile talent for 2017 and beyond.

4:13
Paul Sporer: That’s not bad. Berrios still has a lofty ceiling

4:13
Steve: In a keeper, nabbed Gurriel and immediately flipped him for Odubel and Harvey. How’d I do?

4:14
Paul Sporer: Very well, even w/Harvey obviously being quite the lottery ticket. Hell, I prefer Odubel to him straight up

4:14
mookie best: Do you see Eickhoff as 10 tm relevant? QS instead of wins

4:14
Paul Sporer: that’s a little high for me. Eno might disagree

4:17
Von Schloss: 16 team dynasty, Max Kepler or Corey Dickerson?

4:17
Paul Sporer: Kep

4:17
RePete: Will De Leon finally get his shot to start with all the rotation injuries? There really is nothing left to prove in AAA.

4:17
Paul Sporer: I think so

4:17
Stevsie: 12 team 5×5 keeper league — Does it make sense to keep Jake Lamb over Jose Bautista and JD Martinez with the 3B pool being as deep as it is?

4:22
Paul Sporer: 3B may be deep, but Lamb has been insane

4:22
Paul Sporer: I’m OK keeping him over those guys, though JDM is v close

4:22
ashtray: Trea Turner starting 4 games in a row. Time to buy in?

4:22
Paul Sporer: I mean, if you need speed, but I don’t see any reason to feel SUPER confident that he will rake

4:22
OddBall Herrera: Have we reached the point yet where Kepler > Buxton for 2017 doesn’t sound all that crazy?

4:24
Paul Sporer: I’m with you, I don’t think that’s crazy

4:24
Stevsie: Is Miguel Cabrera still a top 25 pick next year given his good not great 2016 so far?

4:25
Paul Sporer: that’s not out of bounds at all. Love Miggy, but he’ll also be 34. I could see him as a late-2nd, early-3rd rounder. still a very good player, but not overwhelmingly elite

4:25
mookie best: Anyone you’re speccing for saves? I love me some closers

4:25
Paul Sporer: Mauricio Cabrera

4:25
Dan: Saw someone espousing on twitter that Arizona has little incetive to bring Greinke back this year…. concerned about that at all?

4:26
Paul Sporer: Not really

4:26
Paul Sporer: I think he’d pretty pissed if he was ready and they just didn’t use him

4:26
TD: What do you think of Robbie Ray for the rest of the season?

4:26
Paul Sporer: More of the same, I’d think.

4:27
Paul Sporer: Maybe a little better, but he still gives up TONS of hard contact which was his issue last year, too

4:27
Bill: Thoughts on Renfroe? Top 50 outfielder next year, or fool’s gold?

4:28
Paul Sporer: I mean, he’ll be a rookie so top 50 is pretty lofty. I like the power, but MLB is a tough transition so I wouldn’t plan on that

4:28
Phantom of the Chakra: Hiya Paul. Headley or the Chizz, AL-only OBP 3B? Thanks for the rigorous chat, as always!

4:28
Paul Sporer: Gimme Chiz

4:29
Paul Sporer: I hadn’t realized that Headley turned his season around a good bit so it’s close, but still Chiz

4:29
Ampersand: Need to drop one in a 14-team redraft league: Smyly, McCullers, Heyward. Thoughts?

4:29
Paul Sporer: Smyly has been a nightmare

4:29
Sonny: Seems like you’re down on Joc…starting to feel dumb for trading away Naquin instead of JP

4:33
Paul Sporer: Worst part is I love Joc, but I haven’t seen any real growth

4:33
Neal: Tillman for Pineda in AL-only dynasty?

4:33
Paul Sporer: I’ll take Till

4:33
Eric: Is Puig, De Leon, and Grant Holmes enough for Chris Archer?

4:33
Paul Sporer: I’d think so, yeah

4:33
fresh basil: I’d love Moore here in PGH. Make it happen

4:33
Paul Sporer: It’d be pretty good.

4:34
Benny Ayala: 2 years ago Carlos. Carrasco come off the goat pile and had a great last 2 months. A year before that it was Kris Medlin.

4:34
Paul Sporer: Maybe this year’s version is Danny Duffy?

4:34
Pie: What’s the intro music to the podcast?

4:35
Paul Sporer: dangit, thought I still had the MP3, but I can’t find it. Sorry

4:35
Teddy: Just traded Russell Martin and Jeff Spellcheck for Lackey – Martin was an extra C, and I figured I could move him and a seemingly ailing Shark for more W/K upside. Think I got enough? (12-team redraft)

4:41
Paul Sporer: Sorry for the delay

4:42
Paul Sporer: I don’t think you win that on paper, but if Martin is extra and you prefer Lackey, it’s fine

4:42
Paul Sporer: not sure the W upside is there, though. aren’t Giants actually better record?

4:43
ashtray: Move on from Heyward and take a chance on Trea Turner?

4:43
Paul Sporer: if you need SBs

4:43
Alex: Bregman or Mazara for the next two years?

4:44
Paul Sporer: I prefer Maz a little, but I haven’t seen enough Breg

4:44
Billy: I’m in second so Bryce isn’t “killing” my team but he is not helping me win.

4:44
Paul Sporer: omg you’re not even deep in the standings? lol

4:44
Big D: How likely is it that Chris Archer gets traded? It’d be nice if I didn’t have to start him against Boston, Baltimore, Toronto, etc. every week.

4:44
Paul Sporer: Apparently 70% per some exec. But I’d say 46.3%

4:45
Minty: How many years until Urias is allowed to pitch 200 innings?

4:45
Paul Sporer: 2019

4:45
fresh basil: Marathon chat. Nice job!

4:45
Paul Sporer: tahnks

4:45
Paul Sporer: thanks, even

4:45
Paul Sporer: we are about to be done, though

4:45
Paul Sporer: I really appreciate y’all coming out

4:45
Paul Sporer: another couple quickies

4:45
fresh basil: Harder to hit, Neschek in The Show ’16 or IRL

4:45
Paul Sporer: IRL

4:45
Paul Sporer: I kinda rake him in the show

4:46
Bill: Yang Solarte a 10-teamer for you?

4:47
Paul Sporer: Fringy, but I love the positional flexibility

4:47
Von Schloss: Chance Pirates trade Meadows for a front of the line starter?

4:47
Paul Sporer: very low

4:47
Bill: Grichuk a 10-team bat now?

4:47
Paul Sporer: Generally speaking no, but the right team with a rash of injuries or something could make it so

4:48
Paul Sporer: OK folks thanks so much for hanging for nearly 3 hours!

4:48
Paul Sporer: Back at it next week!!
