One of my favorite parts about this time of year is that trade action in fantasy leagues ramps up as a result of MLB trade action doing the same. Even in leagues where a trade deadline is later or doesn’t even exist, MLB teams pushing buttons and feeling out the market leads to some frantic offers. Me, I’m generally a more conservative owner, and you can catch me pulling back trade offers like:
Another day, another barrage of injury news. Here’s hoping you drafted some depth and kept your watch list tight, because odds are, you’ve lost a body or two in the last little while. Basically, we’re looking at the injury news each morning like:
Go scan the MLB news wire from last night. Seriously, go. What a weird, wonderful, beautiful sport we all enjoy. Pokemon hunting, bass catching, backstreet boys dancing, drone flying, punchouts on strike two, “I hate all media.” Uhh, scratch that last one. And then, of course, there’s the excellence that is Ji-Man Choi.

Alright, everyone glad to have baseball back now? Like, real baseball? Yeah, me too. It’s nice that the Blue Jays secured home-field advantage in the World Series and all, but I could do without the four-day reprieve in the middle of the season. On the bright side, the timing was swell, as I was in Las Vegas for NBA Summer League and probably would have needed someone to tag in for the Roto Riteup anyway. But here we are, back with RR, back with baseball, back together.
Today’s Roto Riteup is ready for Monday’s celebration of dingers, especially since it’s the last time we’ll have to hear the dulcet tones of BACK BACK BACK BACK KILL ME OH SWEET LORD KILL ME NOW.
