12:00
Hazmat Corntail: 14t dynasty (standard 5, QS), please rank these SP for RoS and beyond: Ober, Cecconi, Priester, Bello, Soroka

12:00
Justin Mason: Cecconi, Ober, Bello, Priester, Soroka

12:00
Derek: Listening to your discussion with Jason yesterday about Royce Lewis, 12 team keeper league with tons of pitching but weak in hitting – I offered this: Michael Harris and Kumar Rocker for Royce Lewis and TJ Friedl.  The other owner has an old team so I’m trying to sell him some youth?  Thoughts?

12:01
Justin Mason: I love this deal. You get the best player for this year in Friedl and the highest upside player for now and the future in Lewis. Great job

12:02
Tim: ROS and beyond: a) Otto Lopez,  b) Ha-Seong Kim, c) they’re the same guy d) they’re the same guy, but Otto also has 2B eligibility for ‘26 already

Sunday Night Waiver Wire & FAAB Chat

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Welcome

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Here are winning bids from the two 15-team Tout Wars leagues.

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman:

7:32
hscer: I feel like if Walter had a 94 mph 4-seamer he’d be 90% rostered. But at 92 I’m not sure how sustainable his peripherals really are. I have him in places, I’m just not convinced. What do you think the realistic ceiling is here?

7:34
Jeff Zimmerman: Even with a 6 K/9, the low walk rate and high groundball rate would make him useful.

7:34
ryan: assuming burns stays on the roster ROS, will you take him over walter?

Paul Sporer’s Baseball Chat – July 2nd, 2025

Transcript is live, thanks for coming out!

1:04

Paul Sporer: Hey y’all thanks for coming out!!

1:04

John: Hi Paul.  What do you think of trading Naylor and Lawler for Roman Anthony in a keeper league?

1:05

Paul Sporer: I don’t mind that if you’re hot on Anthony. There’s a world where he and Lawlar are really close, but I can see believing Anthony has the edge enough to throw in Naylor

1:05

Liam: Lost Pena (for who knows how long with the Astros track record) and traded my Glasnow for Swanson. Thoughts?

1:05

Paul Sporer: I totally dig that. Fills an immediate need, more than anything Glasnow was doing right now and Swanson is v solid & part of a great lineup

1:05

eric: are you holding onto Ryne Nelson after this favorable stretch of the schedule?

Paul Sporer’s Baseball Chat – June 25th, 2025

Thanks for coming out!!

1:04

Paul Sporer: Hellllllooooo everyone, thanks for coming out! Skenes/Mis about to start and we’re talkin baseball!

1:04

BrewCrew: dyansty H2H Category league…which side do you like ROS: Lindor/Skenes for Elly/Roman Anthony/Perades

1:07

Paul Sporer: This is a pretty good deal both ways, I don’t have a HARD lean. I push a little toward Lindor/Skenes even w/the inherent SP risk tied to Skenes. But two great power-speed guys in Elly/Roman plus a nice power bat w/Paredes is a good return. Strong trade!

1:08

MS: I want to snag Sonny Gray for these @Cle/@Pit starts but will have to drop an RP. Its svsholds so I don’t really care if they close just as long as they get high leverage spots. Who would you be willing to risk exposing to the wire: Clase, Hoffman, Weaver, J Adam, Estrada, Cade Smith?

1:10

Paul Sporer: Probably one of the Padres or Weaver. I know Weaver just got announced back into the SVs share w/Williams but like you said, SVHD mitigates caring about that. So ya, one of those 3. No HEAVY lean b/w ’em… maybe whoever has pitched the most in the last 5-7 days

1:10

Joe Boyle: When do I get the call back to the majors?

Paul Sporer’s Baseball Chat – June 18th, 2025

Thanks for coming out!

1:06

Paul Sporer: Good afternoon y’all, thanks for coming out

1:07

Guest: scale of 1 to Ober’s fastball velocity this year (90.4(, how crazy is swapping out Ober for Walter

1:08

Paul Sporer: I can see cutting Ober in a shallower league. I’m still trying to just reserve him medium-deeper formats in case this is just a lull for him. I really like Walter, though, so getting him interests me for sure

1:08

smuckles: Brendan Donovan for Willy Adames a fair trade? Feel like there is something more in Adames’s bat.

1:09

Paul Sporer: Ya I can’t quit Adames, I definitely think he has a solid summer incoming. (No shade on B Donny, btw, big fan of him, but prefer Adames rest of season)

1:09

DH: Cut Steer for Toglia in a dynasty format?

Sunday Night Waiver Wire & FAAB Chat

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Welcome.

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman: Here are the winning bids for the two 15-team Tout Wars teams.

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman:

7:33
Taco Grande: Projections show very similar numbers for Josh Smith and Matt Shaw for the rest of this year, with an edge to Shaw on the bases. Meanwhile results 10 weeks in show Smith the better option in all categories except SB. Is Smith a clear upgrade for the rest of this year (except SB)? Who do you like more long term in a standard 5×5 deep league keeper format?

7:34
Jeff Zimmerman: I checked my valuations and I have Smith way ahead of Shaw

7:34
Ben: who benefits the most in the BOS lineup w/no Devers?
