Sunday Night Waiver Wire & FAAB Chat

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Welcome

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman:

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Here are the winning bids in the two 15-team Tout War redraft leagues.

7:32
The Batman: I have Adley, C. Kelly, and Drake Baldwin in a two catcher, 12 team league. I’d like to clear one of the slots for pitching, and there are some good options available. Leaning cutting Adley. Is that crazy?

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman: Not at all.

7:33
Jeff Zimmerman: One note, I’ve noticed a huge decline in the quality of content as sites switch over to football. Ground can be made up.

Paul Sporer’s Baseball Chat – August 6th, 2025

Thanks for coming out!!

1:13

Paul Sporer: Good afternoon, thanks for coming out!!

1:14

TC: Nick Kurtz will be drafted as a top-__ hitter next year

1:19

Paul Sporer: I think the answer absolutely depends on these last two months but as it stands right now, I’d say 3rd-4th round so like a Top 25 hitter which is probably too high for a rookie with a 30% K rate, but he’s just been SOOOO good

1:19

smuckles: Dynasty, points league: time to drop Gore?

1:22

Paul Sporer: Yes, I’m OK with that. Every time he reels us in with a good run, it’s canceled out by a disastrously bad run that leaves you worse off than before you had him. And even has his best, the WHIP is always a problem. He may one day still connect all the dots as he’s still just 26 years old, but I’m tired of getting rug-pulled by him

1:22

Rickey: What are the odds Ke’bryan hayes becomes interesting again in cincinnati? What’s the upside for him? And do you figure Sal Stewart is now. 1baseman?

Sunday Night Waiver Wire & FAAB Chat

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Welcome

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Here are the winning bids in the two 15-team Tout Wars Leagues.

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman:

7:32
Daniel: NL only. Injury to Acuna and deadline deals have messed up playing time in my OF. Starting Sheets and Andujar. Lile, Thomas, Lockridge, and Wagaman are best options on WW. Who’s the add and who is the drop? Need OBP, R, and SBs. Awful options…I know. Thx!

7:33
Jeff Zimmerman: Sadly, I think you stand still. Maybe drop Sheets for Lile

7:33
brushback33: Is Javier Sanoja (MIA) worth a flyer with 8 games this week?

Paul Sporer’s Baseball Chat – July 30th, 2025

Thanks for coming out, y’all!

1:06

Paul Sporer: Hey y’all, how’s it goin?

1:06

Guest: how excited are you for McGonigle? can he give good fantasy value in 2026?

1:06

Paul Sporer: Ridiculously excited! With his bat, he can absolutely be a “hit the ground running” kinda guy who delivers right away

1:06

Troy the Tiger: Thoughts on Troy Melton? Is he worth a stash even with two tough starts ahead (PHI, LAA)?

1:06

Paul Sporer: I’m not just picking Tigers questions — I promise!!

1:09

Paul Sporer: I love Melton. His strikeout stuff gives him a solid margin for error. He got roughed up in his MLB debut a bit, but had the 7 Ks and then was absolutely dominant this last time out v. ARI. He’ll have ups and downs like any rookie, but he’s a pickup everywhere right now to see where this goes

Thanks for coming out!!

Check out my new SP rankings here and feel free to ask questions about them today

1:03

Paul Sporer: Hey y’all, how’s it going?

1:03

Matt: 12 tm roto dynasty you dropping Zebby for Melton?

1:04

Paul Sporer: No, I’d stick w/Zebby for now

1:04

RAGBRAI: Anything splashy from the Brewers next week or just some tinkering around the edges?

1:04

Paul Sporer: Probablyyyy tinkering. They have guys working their way back from injuries that they no doubt view as pseudo-acquisitions so I doubt they go for a blockbuster

1:06

steve: what in the actual is wrong with teoscar

Jeff Zimmerman: Welcome

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: Here tonight’s winning ToutWars bids in the two 15-team redraft leagues.

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman:

7:31
Garden Goblin: David Robertson worth a grab in SV/HLD leagues?

7:32
Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, but I don’t know if I’d count on starting him. The Phils might not immediately put him in a high leverage role

7:32
Vader: Hi Jeff! Do you believe Clase will get moved and we should be stashing Smith??

Sunday Night Waiver Wire & FAAB Chat

7:30
Jeff Zimmerman: Welcome

7:30
Jeff Zimmerman: Two things

7:31
Jeff Zimmerman: First, no Tout Wars FAAB. It runs on Wednesday night.

7:32

Paul Sporer’s Baseball Chat – July 9th, 2025

Just a shorty today — 30 minutes!
Transcript is now live

1:02

Paul Sporer: Hello everyone! Thanks for coming out, just a quickie today at 30 minutes as I’ve got an appt. at 1:30 CT

1:02

Playing it close to the Vest: As a Tigers fan, do you think that Vest is their long-term closer? Or will they be looking to bump him down, either at the deadline or during the off-season? He’s already 30 years old and without a long track record of closing

1:03

Paul Sporer: I’d be surprised. Harris and Hinch seem to view the closer’s role as very fluid so I wouldn’t be investing with any sort of long-term vision on any Tigers RP, tbh

1:07

Ess Pee: Could you rank these arms: Slade C, Colton Gordon, T Rogers? Are they all above the rp threshold (Matt Brash) in an al only?

1:07

Paul Sporer: In reverse order of how you listed them but very little separation. I do think they all clear Brash unless you want some runoffs SVs and good ratios

1:08

Boston Pen: Where are you on Jordan Hicks? He hasn’t been that much better in Boston but people are spec’ing on him taking over for Chapman. Does the save potential make him better than arms with better results like Matt Brash/Varland/Yariel Rodriguez?
