Notable Workloads
•Kendall Graveman, CHW: 16 pitches on Tuesday; 12 pitches on Monday. | RosterResource
Graveman never works three days in a row, so someone else will have to close for the Sox Wednesday. Reynaldo López, Joe Kelly, Keynan Middleton, and Gregory Santos are all options.
•Alexis Díaz, CIN: 30 pitches on Tuesday; 21 pitches on Monday. | RosterResource
Lucas Sims, Ian Gibaut, and Buck Farmer are all good closing options for Wednesday.
•Hunter Harvey, WSN: 31 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
Co-closer Kyle Finnegan should be available Wednesday.

Outlier Saves
•Corey Kluber, BOS | RosterResource
Well, it sure wasn’t effective, but Kluber pitched three innings to close out Tuesday’s win against the Twins, “earning” himself the save in allowing four runs on three homers. The transition to the bullpen hasn’t helped Kluber’s horrid season, as he’s allowed 14 runs in 13.1 innings since the move, with six homers. His ERA’s ballooned to 7.04.

Losing A Grip
•None
Kluber has made 260 starts and thrown 1,638.2 IP prior to earning his 1st save. Wonder if any pitcher has earned their 1st save later in their career than that?
Eckersley immediately came to mind but he actually earned 3 saves in the 1st 2 years of his career.
OK, thought of another one – Smoltz made at least 356 starts and threw at least 2,414.1 IP prior to his 1st save. (Those are his numbers through the year prior to his 1st save. Too lazy to figure the actual totals in 2001 prior to his 1st save.)
