We’d be a week into the 2020 season if things had gone as planned. A bunch of us would already be freaking out about our teams and Twitter would be littered with questions about cutting star-level players because they are 5-for-30. As much as those questions drive me insane, I do wish I was fielding them daily right now.

I don’t know when we’ll get baseball again, but here are 8 players I can’t wait to see when it does return:

I love watching Albies play baseball. The 23-year old switch hitter has flashed an array of skills over his 1630 MLB plate appearances and his power/speed capability has made him a fantasy stud. I stilllll think there’s even more here, particularly with his speed. I could see a 25/25 or even 30/30 season from Albies at his best.

I know some drafts are still going forward despite the delay to the MLB season so I wanted to get these RP rankings out as I did promise them on the podcast the other day. I’ll probably do an update to every position once more before the season starts, but here’s the initial run of RPs.

OK, I thought shortstop was the deepest position this year, but I thiiink I’m anointing third base even deeper. Keep in mind that my main league focus is a 15-team mixer so I see someone like Solak down at 39 (11 games at 3B) and get pretty excited about it. For me, when a position is remarkably deep, I don’t necessarily let it sit and just take someone later but rather I’m more apt to dive in and leverage that depth for multiple positions. I could see myself getting 3B, CI, and UT out of this pool.

Let me know what you think in the comments!

UPDATE: Frazier & Camargo added
